Christchurch GRC - 18th February 2021

Upon an internal review of the above race meeting the charge of Failing to Pursue the lure imposed on MR MUPPET (R Wales) has been withdrawn and the greyhound is now free to be nominated to race.

Satisfactory Trials:

DYNA TREVOR (H Anderton) - completed a satisfactory trial with an outside blinker and is now eligible to be nominated to race when its stand down expires.

Fines:

Trainer R Wales was fined $200 (2 offences) after nominating BORN TRIXIE and OPAWA CHEAP to race on consecutive days necessitating their withdrawals from Race 1 today.

AMURI BURN (4) - pushed down the track by CULVIE PUB early stages contacting inside runners. CULVIE PUB (5) - ran inwards early stages pushing AMURI BURN down the track. Ran wide final turn. NUTTY NUTS (8) - clear last on jumping. Ran inwards into bend contacting SPRING JUDY. Pushed wide around bend. SPRING JUDY (9/7) - ran outwards back straight then contacted by NUTTY NUTS losing ground. Ran wide around bend. SEA SPRAY NOVA (10/3) - badly tightened early stages dropping to rear.
Race 2	Addington Events Centre Dash - C1 - 295	CASH NO STASH (1) - tightened and ran wide into bend losing ground. CULVIE BUT (2) - had heels touched by ANGRY PETE on bend. ANGRY PETE (3) - got on heels of CULVIE BUT on bend losing momentum. KAY'S LAST (4) - checked outwards off heels on bend forcing MITCHAM OCEAN wider. MITCHAM OCEAN (6) - had hind quarters contacted by GOLDSTAR WILLA for a stride back straight. Forced wide by KAY'S LAST on bend then contacted by inside runners losing ground. DARK AND DUSTY (7) - clear last on jumping. GOLDSTAR WILLA (8) - ran inwards back straight contacting MITCHAM OCEAN.
Race 3	Steve Anngow Drapes & Blinds Ph.0272719588 Dash - C1 - 295	FATHER LEO (4) - pushed wide by GOLDSTAR LORENZO into bend. Raced wide home straight. LAUTREC (5) - pushed down track early stages. Ran wide final bend. GOLDSTAR LORENZO (6) - contacted by OPAWA TWIRL early stages and pushed down track. Ran outwards into bend pushing FATHER LEO wider. OPAWA TWIRL (7) - ran inwards contacting GOLDSTAR LORENZO early stages. TROUBLESOME KAZA (8) - clear last on jumping.
Race 4	Amber Cleaning Services Sprint - C1/2 - 295	TONKAWA (1) - checked outwards off heels on bend pushing runners wide. OPA'S DREAM (2) - had heels clipped by TONKAWA on bend. DELAROCHE (4) - badly held up on bend and forced wide losing momentum. OPAWA PINK (5) - ran outwards back straight and was turned sideways when contacted by HOMEBUSH HOTSHOT losing ground. Pushed wide around bend then ran very wide home straight. GOLDSTAR DARWIN (6) - last on jumping. Badly tightened back straight dropping to rear. SOZIN'S SYMPHONY (7) - pushed wide on bend. HOMEBUSH HOTSHOT (8) - ran inwards back straight contacting OPAWA PINK which was running outwards. Pushed wide by TONKAWA on bend.
Race 5	Springston Hotel Stakes - C0 - 520	TAIERI MELLAY (1) - ran wide first turn. CAPTAIN TIM (2) - raced wide in the straights. HOMEBUSH BRAVE (3) - contacted by OPAWA CAMERON in run to first bend. Tightened by outside runners first turn losing ground. OPAWA CAMERON (4) - checked by GOLDSTAR DEVON early stages losing ground and contacting HOMEBUSH BRAVE. LUCKY LUCIANO (5) - slow to jump. Ran wide home straight. GOLDSTAR DEVON (7) - ran inwards early stages checking OPAWA CAMERON. Tightened first turn. ADOBE PEBBLES (8) - ran outwards early stages. Ran inwards first turn tightening inside runners.
Race 6	Clarkson Sign Studio Dash - C1/2 - 295	MITCHAM KING (2) - ran wide on bend. DREAM RUNNER (3) - contacted by RING CLOWN into bend. Tightened by TWO BE FRANK on bend and checked outwards pushing runners wide. PUNTERS BOLT (5) - pushed down the track by HOMEBUSH LIAM early stages. RING CLOWN (6) - tightened into bend and contacted DREAM RUNNER dropping to rear. Pushed very wide final turn. HOMEBUSH LIAM (7) - ran inwards early stages pushing PUNTERS BOLT down the track. Hampered final turn. TWO BE FRANK (8) - ran inwards on bend tightening DREAM RUNNER.
Race 7	Kolorful Kanvas Stakes - C1 - 520	OPAWA SANDRIDGE (1) - ran outwards in run to first turn contacting GOLDSTAR ALASKA. Ran outwards final turn pushing KNOW EGO wider. BALDRICK (2) - ran outwards first bend checking KNOW EGO. GOLDSTAR ALASKA (3) - contacted by OPAWA SANDRIDGE in run to first turn. GOLDSTAR SHARON (5) - slow to jump then contacted by BUNDY. Ran outwards first turn contacting KNOW EGO then pushed BUNDY very wide. KNOW EGO (6) - had hindquarters contacted by GOLDSTAR SHARON first turn. Checked by BALDRICK soon after becoming unbalanced. Pushed wide by OPAWA SANDRIDGE final turn. BUNDY (7) - slow to jump then ran inwards contacting GOLDSTAR SHARON. Pushed very wide by GOLDSTAR SHARON first turn.

JACKIE (4) - ran inwards into bend contacting MADE THE CUT. Tightened into bend losing ground. HEAR THIS (6) - ran inwards into bend tightening inside runners. GOLDSTAR WHITEY (7) - forced wide around bend. AMURI SMOKE (8) - last to jump. DR. BRAVESTONE (10/5) - badly tightened into bend dropping to rear. Assessed by vet and cleared of injury.
Race 9	mayhounds.org.nz Rehoming Group Stakes - C2 - 520	DIAMOND DAZZLED (2) - very slow to jump then ran outwards early stages. QUEENA BALE (3) - held up by checked runner first turn losing momentum. Tightened by KNOW GRIZZLES late in run home. KNOW GRIZZLES (4) - badly tightened into first bend losing ground. Ran inwards late in home straight tightening QUEENA BALE. KNOW ACCOUNT (6) - ran on to heels into first bend and fell. Assessed by vet and found to have gluteal muscle bruising. UPSTART CROW (7) - slow to jump. Badly checked into first bend and forced wide losing ground.
Race 10	Suck It Up Sprint Final - C2f - 295	PUNTERS LAST (1) - tightened into bend losing ground. SOZIN'S AZURE (4) - contacted by outside runners into bend. OPAWA COOPER (5) - tightened back straight then forced inwards striking rail and dropping to a clear last. Assessed by vet and cleared of injury. HOMEBUSH GEORGE (6) - ran inwards back straight tightening inside runners. Soon after tightened by NIPPA ENOUGH forcing OPAWA COOPER inwards and losing ground. NIPPA ENOUGH (7) - ran inwards into bend tightening inside runners.
Race 11	Crate & Barrel Hotel Sprint - C1/2 - 295	CLAWS IN LEO (3) - ran wide final turn. KNOW CRIME (4) - ran outwards on bend pushing GOLDSTAR WYNTER wider. GOLDSTAR WYNTER (6) - pushed wide by KNOW CRIME on bend. MITCHAM MANERING (7) - ran inwards back straight losing ground.
Race 12	Livamol Sprint - C3 - 295	TABBY (1) - pushed wide final turn. MEGA DREAM (3) - ran outwards early stages contacting GOLDSTAR ARIA which was running inwards. GOLDSTAR ARIA (5) - ran inwards early stages contacting MEGA DREAM which was running outwards. Badly tightened into bend losing ground. TREMONTI (6) - tightened into bend losing ground. COME A GUSTER (7) - ran inwards into bend tightening inside runners. OUR COOK (8) - ran outwards final turn and faltered dropping away. Assessed by vet and found to have a fractured hock. REGAL JOCK (9/4) - ran outwards into bend contacting TREMONTI. Again ran outwards final turn pushing TABBY wider.
