Palmerston North GRC - 16 February 2021.

1) Trainer B Mitchell advised Stewards that TUFF DYNAMO was showing signs of soreness in her neck muscles following a clear post race veterinary examination after racing at this meeting.

STAND DOWNS:

1) BIGTIME COOPER (L Cole) suffered a torn left gracilis muscle during a trial prior to the start of the meeting.

WARNINGS:

1) D Edlin - nominated greyhounds to race on consecutive days.

Raced wide at various stages. WAITING GAME (2) - contacted from behind at the start. Coursed wide entering the home straight. BIG TIME NOAH (3) - began awkwardly, contacting WAITING GAME from behind at the start. Heavily contacted shortly after the start, losing ground as a result and out of contention thereafter. A post race veterinary examination was carried out which revealed no injuries. IDOL REIGN (4) - heavily contacted BIG TIME NOAH shortly after the start. TIGER CHURN (5) - buffeted on the point of the bend. GOTCHA MAX (8) - buffeted TIGER CHURN on the point of the bend, becoming unbalanced and losing some ground as a result.
Race 2	AON CPF INSURANCE C0 - C0 - 520	COOLIBAH KID (2) - tightened BIG TIME HELENA on the point of the first bend when crossing to the rail. BIG TIME HELENA (4) - tightened on the point of the first bend, needing to check across heels to gain clear racing room. Bumped nearing the back straight. BIG TIME TASHA (6) - bumped BIG TIME HELENA nearing the back straight. Buffeted entering the home straight and forced wider on the track as a result. BIG TIME CHASE (7) - began awkwardly. Contacted FROSTY PARADISE from behind entering the first bend. Moved up the track entering the home straight, buffeting BIG TIME TASHA and forcing that runner wider on the track. FROSTY PARADISE (8) - up 2.2kg in weight in first start for trainer. Slow away. Contacted from behind entering the first bend. Raced wide through the back straight and unable to make ground thereafter. A post race veterinary examination was carried out which revealed no injuries.
Race 3	LASER PLUMBING C2 - C2 - 305	LUCY LINGERS (1) - contacted KINETIC REBEL on the point of the bend, then squeezed KINETIC REBEL nearing the home straight. TRUTH HURTS (2) - tightened entering the bend, losing some ground. MOTHER'S TOUCH (3) - moved up the track shortly after the track, inconveniencing KINETIC REBEL, then continued to race wide throughout. DINO THE FOX (4) - coursed wide through the bend and continued to race very wide through the home straight. ZARA CHEEBEE (5) - tightened TRUTH HURTS entering the bend when crossing to the rail. KINETIC REBEL (6) - began awkwardly. Inconvenienced shortly after the start. Contacted on the point of the bend, then squeezed between runners nearing the home straight, becoming unbalanced and losing ground. BIGTIME COCO (7) - coursed wide through the bend. CHOICE SISTER (8) - squeezed KINETIC REBEL nearing the home straight.
Race 4	ADEPT ACCOUNTANTS C2 - C2 - 305	ALAMEIN SAM (1) - moved up the track shortly after the start inconveniencing SIDELINE SALLY. Squeezed between runners nearing the bend. Contacted from behind entering the bend. SHOT OF CLASS (2) - slow away. Contacted ALAMEIN SAM from behind entering the bend. SIDELINE SALLY (3) - inconvenienced shortly after the start. Squeezed ALAMEIN SAM and BIG TIME PENNY nearing the bend. BIGTIME AVA (4) - awkwardly placed behind runners entering the bend. BIG TIME PENNY (5) - squeezed between runners nearing the bend, becoming very unbalanced, stumbling and losing ground. Out of contention thereafter. A post race veterinary examination was carried out which revealed no injuries. OPAWA JODY (6) - raced wide through the home straight. SO SEVERE (7) - squeezed ALAMEIN SAM and BIG TIME PENNY nearing the bend.
Race 5	KERNOW CONSTRUCTION C1 - C1 - 520	BIG TIME RITA (1) - squeezed BIG TIME YONKERS entering the first bend. Checked on the point of the first bend. Contacted from behind nearing the winning post. BIG TIME DIOR (3) - began awkwardly. Bumped shortly after the start. Moved up the track entering the first bend to race wide through the first bend and back straight. Contacted DERRY BLUES entering the final bend, losing ground. Coursed wide through the home straight. HERE'S HEMI (4) - slow away. Wide through the back straight. BIG TIME YONKERS (5) - angled across the field at the start. Squeezed between runners entering the first bend. Placed in restricted room nearing the winning post. DERRY BLUES (7) - contacted entering the final bend. Contacted BIG TIME RITA nearing the winning post. BIG TIME TED (8) - squeezed BIG TIME YONKERS entering the first bend. Checked BIG TIME RITA on the point of the first bend when crossing to the rail.
Race 6	FIRST SECURITY C1 - C1 - 305	ALAMEIN GRAEME (1) - went up with the lids. Hampered slightly into the bend as HARDCORE JET angled to the rail. HOMEBUSH MAREE (3) - slow away. GO BLUE (4) - dwelt at the jump. Raced in tight quarters and was awkwardly placed for a couple of strides into the bend. KING THEODEN (5) - bumped and jostled for some strides when tightened between runners racing to the bend. MISS COWDREY (6) - hampered racing into the bend when making contact with the hindquarters of SAHARA DREAM checking wide into the bend. SAHARA DREAM (7) - contact and unbalanced into the bend as she was pushed outwards resulting in MISS COWDRY running into her hindquarters. BIG TIME BRADLEY (8) - fav- dwelt for a stride at the jump.
Race 7	ACCELL "LEADING THE WAY IN CANINE THERAPY" C1 - C1 - 305	ARIANA SUNSET (3) - angled outwards from the jump onto the shoulder of SUMMER GLEE. SUMMER GLEE (4) - contact soon after the start and was tightened back from between runners making further contact with ELLE and this runner angled across. MY MATE SPEIGHT (5) - tightened and checked into the bend and forced to check abruptly outwards over the hind of BIG TIME NALA racing extremely wide onto the top bend. HARDCORE KYLIE (6) - soon after the start was tightened and jostled between runners for some strides then abruptly angled in between runners making contact with the rail. A post race veterinary examination was carried out which revealed no injuries. ELLE (7) - angled across from the jump coming together with SUMMER GLEE as this runner angled outwards. BIG TIME NALA (8) - fav- angled across the line of MY MATE SPEIGHT who caught her hindquarters and became awkwardly placed for a couple of strides and was checked again soon after when coming together with OPAWA BUD.
Race 8	BOOK YOUR FUNCTION @ HATRICK C1 - C1 - 305	HOMEBUSH JENNIA (1) - hampered for several strides racing into the bend when tightened. THREE OF HEARTS (2) - checked on the top bend as OPAWA VIOLET angled in across her line. HOMEBUSH SHOWOFF (3) - checked out off heels into the bend contacting FROZEN PARADISE. Was clipped from behind nearing the home turn, checking out wide into the home straight. MILO TONIGHT (4) - hampered for a stride or so into the bend as BIG TIME REBEL angled in across his racing line. FROZEN PARADISE (5) - dwelt and was last into stride. Checked into the bend and ran wide as runner to his inside checked outwards. Checked nearing the home turn when catching the heels of HOMEBUSH SHOWOFF. BIG TIME REBEL (6) - angled across the line of MILO TONIGHT racing into the bend. SMALL PAIGE (7) - forced to check back off heels into the bend going back onto HOMEBUSH SHOWOFF.
Race 9	WWW.RACINGTIPS.CO.NZ C1 - C1 - 305	STRIKE IT RICH (2) - slow away. Buffeted PARADOX PRINCE entering the home straight. PARADOX PRINCE (3) - brushed HOMEBUSH MAXI shortly after the start. Contacted from behind entering the bend. Buffeted entering the home straight. HOMEBUSH MAXI (4) - brushed PARADOX PRINCE shortly after the start. Tightened nearing the home straight. Contacted BIG TIME ALBIE from behind entering the home straight. BIG TIME ALBIE (5) - bumped IDOL JAN shortly after the start. Tightened PUNCH ON SCOOBY nearing the bend, then unbalanced bumping IDOL JAN entering the bend. Tightened HOMEBUSH MAXI nearing the home straight. Contacted from behind entering the home straight. PUNCH ON SCOOBY (6) - tightened nearing the bend, then contacted PARADOX PRINCE from behind entering the bend. IDOL JAN (8) - bumped shortly after the start. Bumped, again, entering the bend.

Race 11	PRESIDENTS DASH C1 - C1 - 305	GOLDSTAR MCQUEEN (1) - contacted OPAWA LARA entering the home straight when attempting to cross to the rail, becoming unbalanced and losing ground. TIDDY CASH (2) - slow away. Coursed wide through the latter stages of the bend. When questioned regarding this Greyhound's performance, handler S Stone advised Stewards that she believes TIDDY CASH will derive benefit from today's run which was his first start for some time. TESTING TIME (3) - began awkwardly. OPAWA LARA (4) - contacted entering the home straight. ROSE AND CROWN (5) - buffeted, on several occasions, shortly after the start, losing ground entering the bend. JOHNY MOWHAWK (6) - buffeted ROSE AND CROWN on several occasions shortly after the start. DOTTIE BELL (8) - coursed wide through the latter stages of the bend, and continued to race wide through the home straight.
Race 12	SEE YOU HERE FRIDAY 19TH C1 - C1 - 305	GO LADYBIRD (1) - began awkwardly. Squeezed between runners nearing the bend. Bumped SMALL BOY on the point of the bend. KIOSK (5) - bumped SLAM IT shortly after the start. Squeezed GO LADYBIRD nearing the bend. Tightened on the point of the bend, losing ground. SLAM IT (6) - bumped shortly after the start. Coursed wide through the bend. BUTTER CHURN (7) - coursed wide through the bend and early stages of the home straight. BIGTIME MACI (8) - tightened KIOSK on the point of the bend. SMALL BOY (9/2) - squeezed GO LADYBIRD nearing the bend, then tightened entering the bend, appearing to contact the rail. Bumped on the point of the bend, losing ground and out of contention thereafter. A post race veterinary examination was carried out which revealed no injuries.
