Wanganui GRC - 12 February 2021

1). HOMEBUSH SURGEON (S Gommans) - Mrs Gommans has reported that this greyhound had returned to her kennels and presented with hock lameness subsequent to this meeting.

2). AGENT LEVI (G & S Fredrickson) has reported that the dog underwent x-rays and has been found to have suffered only a mild hock strain.

Satisfactory trial.

1). ZIPPING SCOOT (J & D Bell) - was a post race swab after competing in a trial.

Scratchings.

1). BROKE BAD (A Turnwald) - was inadvertently scratched from race 9 earlier this morning in error by the TAB and was reinstated soon after the error was brought to their attention.

Race 1	Commentators Day Out Here March 1st C0 - C0 - 410	ADOBE BROOKE (1) - settled back into the bend and was checked losing momentum as runners ahead checked. ZERO TOLERANCE (2) - tightened into the bend going back onto ALLEGRO RUBY being contacted in the hindquarters and checked losing momentum back to the rear. Assessed by the vet and cleared of injury. ALLEGRO RUBY (4) - awkwardly away. Angled across into the bend and was hampered as runner ahead came back losing momentum and ground. ALLEGRO MOSES (5) - tightened and checked into the bend. hampered for a couple of strides racing into the home straight. TUFF TIGER (6) - slow away. Angled inwards onto XANTHONE nearing the home turn. XANTHONE (7) - hampered for a couple of strides on the home turn as TUFF TIGER angled inwards.
Race 2	Paul Claridge Electrical C1 - C1 - 410	ADOBE TURTLE (1) - awkwardly placed into the bend losing some ground. Improved between runners into the home straight and was bumped and checked losing momentum when unable to clear runners. SLIPPERY SUZIE (2) - led out challenged nearing the home turn contacted in the hindquarters pushed outwards and made contact with BIG TIME KATY. Was dictated into tight quarters and checked having to check out over heels making ground to the line. BIG TIME KATY (5) - improving rounding the home turn when coming together with SLIPPERY SUZIE. She abruptly angled across the line of several runners causing bumping and jostling for some strides. ALLEGRO BRANDON (6) - angled across from the jump running into BIG TIME KATY. YESENIA (7) - went up with the lids and was last away by several lengths. Checked and lost ground racing onto the top bend.
Race 3	Andy McCook Calling Here March 1st C2/C3 - C2/3 - 410	BIGTIME DAISY (2) - hampered and checked into the bend as ALLEGRO VEY was forced inwards. BIG TIME MAY (3) - soon after the start she was tightened and forced inwards and came back off heels losing momentum and ground into the bend checking into SPRING FOX. ALLEGRO VEY (4) - hampered into the bend as BARVARO angled across onto his hindquarters pushing her sideways making contact with the hindquarters of BIGTIME DAISY. SPRING FOX (5) - bumped and dictated inwards for some strides from the jump. Checked into the bend and was forced to abruptly check out over heels losing momentum and ground. BIG TIME FELIX (6) - awkwardly away then angled across from the jump causing tightening to several runners for some strides. BAVARO (8) - angled across into the bend onto the hind of ALLEGRO VEY and was unbalanced for a stride or so.
Race 4	PN Golden Chase Nominations Close February 12th C4/C5 - C4/5 - 410	ELECTRICAL STORM (1) - checked out across heels into the bend. Was checked again soon after as RUNNING FREER angled in across his racing line. BIGTIME PUMA (2) - severely tightened contacting the rail racing into the bend assessed by the vet and and found to have pain on flexion right wrist. SUB TWENTY THREE (3) - ran onto heels and lost ground in the run across the top bend. RUNNING FREER (6) - checked into the bend angled outwards for a couple of strides then crossed back inwards. HIGHLAND VINTAGE (7) - angled across into the bend severely tightening in onto BIGTIME PUMA. becoming unbalanced for a couple of strides. Weakened in the latter stages assessed by the vet and cleared of injury.
Race 5	Red Snapper Seafoods, Christchurch C4/C5 - C4/5 - 410	THRILLING BRAX (1) - soon after the start bumped and jostled with GIRAFFE CLUB for some strides in the run to the bend. GIRAFFE CLUB (2) - bumped and jostled with THRILLING BRAX for some strides then came back off this runners heels into the bend finishing in the rear at the line. Assessed by the vet and was found to have pain over flexion of left wrist & left caudral thigh muscle.
Race 6	Bruce Sherwin Calling Here March 1st C0 - C0 - 457	UNCLE ALBERT (2) - angled outwards into the bend and was forced wide off the hindquarters of BIG TIME WOLFIE. TUFF DYNAMO (5) - soon after the start angled outwards and came together bumping and jostling with BIG TIME WOLFIE. Contact again and unbalanced racing into the bend lost momentum and ground back to the rear. Assessed by the vet and cleared of injury. BIG TIME WOLFIE (6) - racing to the bend was bumped and jostled between runners for some strides.
Race 7	Big Barrel Palmerston North C1 - C1 - 457	GAZZA'S GIRL (3) - jumped and ran outwards contacting the hindquarters of BIG TIME BRYNN soon after she angled out across heel to run wide into the bend. BIG TIME BRYNN (5) - soon after the start he was contacted in the hindquarters as GAZZA'S GIRL checked outwards.
Race 8	The City Of PN Golden Chase Here April 1st C2/C3 - C2/3 - 457	PEDRO LEE (2) - looking to improve on the inner into the bend when running onto the heels of SILENCI as this runner angled into his racing line. In the run across the top bend he ran onto heels and checked losing momentum RHODES WORTHY (4) - angled across heels into the bend becoming unbalanced racing extremely wide onto the top bend. SILENCI (7) - led to the bend where he angled across the line of PEDRO LEE and was galloped on and almost dragged down losing his position. Assessed by the vet and cleared of injury.
Race 9	Outback Trading Company C4/C5 - C4/5 - 457	BROKE BRAD (2) - dwelt for a stride was then bumped and jostled for some strides in the run to the bend where he angled across heels racing widest thereafter. RAPID FIRE (5) - went up with the lids. Soon after angled across tightening runners to his inner for some strides. Was as contacted into the bend and unbalanced for a couple of strides. BIGTIME ROD (8) - angled inwards bumping into RAPID FIRE racing into the bend.
