Supplementary Report:

Wanganui GRC - 29th January 2021

1). Stewards have concluded their inquiries in regards to several incidents that occurred on the way to and at the starting boxes of race 12 at the above said meeting. These inquiries established that the Greyhound ELUSIVE ALIBI (R Waite) had made contact with the Lure when making its way to the starting boxes with this information failing to be communicated to the Stewards prior to the all clear being given. As a consequence to this, Stewards have disqualified the Greyhound under GRNZ Rule 11.1(w) and spoken with the clubs Parade Stewards in regards to their obligations to inform Stewards of such matters in the first instance in future. As a further consequence to inquiries being made, trainer W Hodgson has been cautioned for the manner in which he addressed another trainer at the boxes of this race.

2). Stewards followed up the Veterinary examination results from PRETTY BELINDA from this meeting which had inadvertently not been received where it was reported to have no clinical abnormalities.

Wanganui GRC - 3 February 2021

1). Trainer K Gommans advised Stewards that GOTCHA POPEYE was found to have a swollen right wrist following the meeting.

Late Scratching's:

1). CLANSMAN DOUGLAS (R3), ARIANA SUNSET (R3), SHAMROCK GREEN (R11) and LIGHT CRUISER (R12) all trained by Mr B Goldsack were late scratchings with the permission of Stewards.

Stand Downs:

1). BIG TIME QUEEN (L Cole) - stood down for 28 days and pending a satisfactory trial for Failing to Pursue the Lure in race 11.

2). NELLIE MARJEN (M Flipp) - stood down pending a satisfactory trial.

Race 1	WELCOME TO HATRICK C1 - C1 - 305	GOLDSTAR MCQUEEN (1) - slow early stages. Inconvenienced entering the bend. SPOOK (2) - slow early stages. ZIPPING LUTHER (3) - slow early stages. Slightly inconvenienced by a falling runner entering the bend. OPAWA JODY (4) - jostled with BIG TIME KATY in the run to the bend and again entering it losing momentum. BIG TIME KATY (6) - jostled with OPAWA JODY in the run to the bend. Placed in restricted room entering the bend having to check outwards and climbing on the heels of BIG TIME QUEEN as a consequence, becoming unbalanced and falling to the track. Cleared of injury with a precautionary 5 day stand down imposed. BIG TIME QUINN (7) - crowded the racing room of BIG TIME KATY entering the bend being dragged down and falling to the track. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have a spike wound above its left stopper bone.
Race 2	AON CPF INSURANCE C1/2 - C1/2 - 520	ILLICIT (2) - crowded for racing room rounding the first bend. BIGTIME ARCHIE (3) - slow early stages. Awkwardly placed on heels rounding the first bend. Checked off heels rounding the final bend. BIG TIME MASON (5) - placed in restricted room prior to the first bend. Hampered rounding the first bend. HOBSON (6) - slow early stages. BIG TIME FELIX (7) - checked off heels early stages. BIG TIME BOOTS (9/4) - checked and lost ground exiting the first bend.
Race 3	ADEPT ACCOUNTANTS C1/2 - C1/2 - 305	NELLIE MARJEN (9/4) - started to lose ground entering the bend before becoming awkward in its gait losing considerable ground and continuing to do so. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have an irregular heartbeat immediately post race which had returned to normal on a secondary examination. This examination also revealed pain in both quadriceps. Stood down pending a satisfactory trial.
Race 4	PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C2/3 - C2/3 - 305	DINO THE FOX (2) - lost all chance when beginning awkwardly. Referred to the Veterinarian were it was reported to have pain in its right quadricep and left fan muscle. WATERLOO GIRL (3) - lost ground when racing in tight quarters rounding the bend. BIG TIME FLASH (5) - squeezed for racing room in the run to the bend before jostling with BIG TIME BEAT. Again squeezed for racing room entering the bend losing ground. BIG TIME BEAT (7) - jostled with BIG TIM FLASH in the run to the bend.
Race 5	KERNOW CONSTRUCTION C5 - C5 - 305	BIG TIME ANGEL (1) - jostled with SUB TWENTY THREE in the run to the bend crowding BIG TIME GWYN. Hampered rounding the bend losing ground. BIG TIME GWYN (2) - squeezed for racing room in the run to the bend before climbing on the heels of SUB TWENTY THREE and losing ground. WIFI BOLT (3) - slow early. BIG TIME KEVIN (4) - slow early. Awkwardly placed to the outside of runners entering the bend. Awkwardly positioned on heels soon after before faltering and losing ground. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have a suspected fractured right hock. Will undergo x-rays in the coming days to which Stewards will follow up with. SUB TWENTY THREE (7) - jostled with BIG TIME APRIL in the run to the bend crowding BIG TIME GWYN as a result before being checked from behind by this runner losing ground.
Race 6	PRESIDENTS DASH C1/2 - C1/2 - 305	HYPOTHETICAL (2) - had to check when placed in tight quarters entering the bend losing ground. BIG TIME PENNY (3) - awkwardly placed to the outside of runners entering the bend and again rounding the bend losing ground. IDOL STEFFIE (5) - hindquarters raced on early stages. AHUROA PRINCESS (7) - shifted down the track early stages racing on the hindquarters of IDOL STEFFIE.
Race 7	ACCELL "LEADING THE WAY IN CANINE THERAPY" C3 - C3 - 520	DAPPER RAPPER (1) - dictated wide run home. BIG TIME GINA (4) - hampered first bend losing momentum and inconveniencing SUPER REX. SUPER REX (5) - awkwardly positioned on heels entering the first bend. Lost momentum when awkwardly placed between runners first bend. JILLIBY SOPHIA (6) - coursed wide exiting the bend and through the home straight. BIG TIME EDEN (7) - slow early. Dictated wide run home. BIGTIME DAISY (8) - slow early.
Race 8	WANGANUI TOYOTA C4/5 - C4/5 - 305	MACHINE GUNN (3) - placed on heels entering the bend.
Race 9	WWW.RACINGTIPS.CO.NZ C4/5 - C4/5 - 520	BIG TIME FRANKIE (1) - placed in restricted room when attempting a marginal run exiting the final bend. BIGTIME ROD (2) - checked off heels exiting the bend. MY KHLOE (5) - checked outwards off heels early stages shouldering briefly with BIG TIME ROONIE. Awkwardly placed on heels first bend. Hampered exiting the final bend. BIG TIME ROCKET (6) - hampered when racing between runners exiting the bend. HAIDEE BALE (7) - awkwardly positioned to the outside of runners exiting the bend. BIG TIME ROONIE (8) - shouldered briefly with MY KHLOE early stages.
Race 10	LASER PLUMBING C4 - C4 - 305	ALLEGRO KYLE (3) - raced in tight quarters entering the bend losing ground. BIG TIME LEBRON (5) - awkwardly placed to the outside of runners entering the bend coursing wide. DENUTO (6) - slow early stages.
Race 11	HATRICK DASH C3 - C3 - 305	VIKING ASH (1) - hampered entering the bend. BIG TIME QUEEN (2) - hindquarters briefly raced on by HURRICANE AL early stages. Eased abruptly prior to entering the bend causing a check to HURRICANE AL and hampering VIKING ASH. Referred to the Veterinarian and found to have general muscle pain in both hind legs. Not withstanding this the bitch was stood down for Failing to Pursue the Lure. BIG TIME SMILE (3) - squeezed for racing room in the run to the bend. HURRICANE AL (4) - raced on the hindquarters of BIG TIME QUEEN in the run to the bend. Terminally checked entering the bend by BIG TIME QUEEN. PAVING WAY (7) - began awkwardly shouldering with SEDGEBROOK SALLY. SEDGEBROOK SALLY (8) - shouldered by PAVING WAY on jumping.
Race 12	BOOK YOUR FUNCTION @ HATRICK C3 - C3 - 305	OTIS (1) - slow to jump. Shifted up the track entering the bend. PORCELAIN PANDA (4) - contacted from the outside by BIG TIME JEWEL on jumping. Shifted up the track in the run to the bend crowding BIG TIME JEWEL. Raced on the hindquarters of BAVARO prior to entering the bend. Dictated up the track exiting the bend. BIG TIME JEWEL (5) - collided with PORCELAIN PANDA on jumping. Crowed and obligated to check off heels in the run to the bend. BAVARO (8) - hindquarters raced on prior to entering the bend. Hampered entering the bend when racing to the outside of OTIS which was shifting up the track. Shifted up the track exiting the bend.
