Race 1	The Fitz Sports Bar Sprint - C2 - 295	SAM AND SI (1) - hindquarters raced on prior to the bend. DIAMOND ROSETTE (2) - slow early. Checked and lost ground entering the bend. Appeared to be lame post race with a Veterinary examination revealing a split webbing and fracture toe on its hind left foot. It was recommended that this toe be amputated in the coming days with Stewards to follow this up. HOMEBUSH HOTSHOT (5) - shouldered SAM AND SI prior to the bend. Checked and lost ground entering the bend. HOMEBUSH FINN (6) - placed in restricted room and was subsequently dragged down losing ground when entering the bend. Subjected to a Veterinary examination and cleared of injury. MITCHAM QUEEN (7) - proved difficult to box. Will box first for its immediate races.
Race 2	Hart Family Greyhound Racing Stakes - C1 - 520	SMASH DEVIL (2) - began awkwardly settling last. Checked off heels rounding the final bend. Jostled with SMASH ZONE exiting the final bend. BASHFUL BUFFY (4) - weakened rounding the final bend after racing prominent throughout. A post race Veterinary examination revealed no clinical abnormalities. Performance noted with kennel representatives advising it will be restricted to sprint distance racing in future. DIAMOND DAZZLED (5) - shifted up the track early stages checking off heels. BALDRICK (6) - boxed first. SMASH ZONE (8) - jostled with SMASH DEVIL exiting the final bend.
Race 3	Dave Robbie Photographer Dash - C1 - 295	HOMEBUSH MIST (1) - slow early. Climbed on heels rounding the bend. MITCHAM ILA (2) - checked from behind rounding the bend. PRINCELY CASH (5) - shouldered briefly with CASH NO STASH early stages. HOMEBUSH JEWEL (8) - coursed wide through the run to the bend. CASH NO STASH (9/7) - shouldered briefly with PRINCELY CASH early stages. Awkwardly positioned on heels entering the bend.
Race 4	mayhounds.org.nz Rehoming Group Sprint - C3 - 295	PUNTERS LAST (2) - jostled with CARLOS early stages. Crowded for racing room entering the bend losing ground. Subjected to a Veterinary examination after sustaining a laceration to its tail at the lure. CARLOS (3) - jostled with PUNTERS LAST early stages. GOLDSTAR JAY JAY (4) - inconvenienced entering the bend. PENNY JANE (5) - awkwardly placed to the outside of runners entering the bend. DIAMOND HARMONY (6) - crowded for racing room entering the bend losing ground. AMURI BATMAN (7) - crowded for racing room entering the bend losing ground. M'LADY SADIE (8) - began awkwardly.
Race 5	Thursday Place Pick Stakes - C2/3 - 520	QUEENA BALE (3) - placed in restricted room entering the first bend losing ground and racing on the hindquarters of SMOOTH STEP. SMOOTH STEP (5) - hindquarters raced on entering the first bend which obliged the greyhound to check off heels and lose momentum. GOLDSTAR MAUNEY (6) - obligated to check off heels in the run to and again rounding the first bend MR BLACKJACK (7) - inconvenienced entering the first bend. MAX DANCER (8) - checked from behind entering the first bend.
Race 6	Selwyn-Rakaia Vet Services Feature - R/A - 520	KNOW KEEPER (1) - shifted off heels first bend causing an inconvenience to OPAWA NIGEL. ROCK ON JOHN (2) - weakened late in the run home. Subjected to a precautionary Veterinary examination which revealed no clinical abnormalities. OPAWA NIGEL (4) - inconvenienced rounding the first bend. OPAWA STAR (7) - slow early.
Race 7	Steve Anngow Drapes & Blinds Ph.0272719588 Dash - C3 - 295	GARY (1) - raced wide on bend. HEAR THIS (4) - ran outwards into bend contacting REGAL JOCK. JACKIE (5) - tightened and stumbled early stages losing ground. REGAL JOCK (6) - contacted by HEAR THIS into bend and pushed wide in consequence. KNOW PICK (8) - slow to jump.
Race 8	O'Shea's Public House Sprint - C4 - 295	OUR COOK (2) - checked and obligated to course wide rounding the bend. MISS ADOBE (3) - slow to jump before being squeezed for racing room losing ground. Dragged down rounding the bend losing ground. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. HOMEBUSH CAESAR (5) - forced down the track onto heels early stages losing ground. Checked rounding the bend. TAUNTING EYES (6) - crowded early stages being forced down onto HOMEBUSH CAESAR. Terminally checked rounding the bend. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. KING TOLIMAN (7) - shifted down the track early stages crowding inside greyhounds.
Race 9	Christchurch Casino Stakes - C4 - 520	OPAWA CUTIE (3) - jostled briefly with OPAWA HILARY prior to the bend. Collided with RIPSTORM first bend. Coursed wide back straight. PRETTY BUSY (4) - came together with HOLY GRAIL early stages. Crowded for racing room shortly afterwards. HOLY GRAIL (5) - came together with PRETTY BUSY early stages before shouldering briefly with OPAWA NAT. Obliged to steady entering the first bend when placed on heels. OPAWA NAT (6) - shouldered briefly with HOLY GRAIL early stages before checking outwards off heels. Bumped briefly with OPAWA HILARY prior to the first bend. OPAWA HILARY (7) - shifted down the track across heels early stages before jostling with briefly with OAPWA CUTIE. Checked and bumped with OPAWA NAT prior to the first bend before checking off this runners heels. RIPSTORM (8) - collided with OPAWA CUTIE first bend shifting up the track and losing ground.
Race 10	Active Electrical Christchurch Dash - C5 - 295	EVER RESTED (1) - hampered entering the bend. STARBURST GEORGE (3) - awkwardly placed on heels entering the bend when attempting to improve into a marginal run. OPAWA PHIL (4) - fell in the run to the lure with a precautionary 5 day stand down imposed. Re-presented 8 Jan 2021 and found to be free of injury with the stand down removed. OAKMONT (7) - checked off heels rounding the bend.
Race 11	Balcairn Stockfoods & CopRice Dog Food Dash - C5 - 295	WILDEBEEST (2) - hampered rounding the bend. Coursed wide exiting the bend and through the run home. KNOW BABY (3) - hampered early stages. SONJA (4) - contacted from the outside early stages. HOMEBUSH MONKEY (5) - contacted from the outside early stages and forced down onto SONJA losing ground as a consequence. OPAWA BAILEY (6) - forced down the track early stages colliding with HOMEBUSH MONKEY as a consequence. OUR ANNA (7) - forced down the track early stages. FRIZZLED (8) - shifted down the track abruptly through the early stages impeding inside runners. Hampered and lost momentum entering the bend.
Race 12	RE-ENERGIZE Sprint - C4 - 295	SUCK IT UP (2) - briefly bumped with MAXIMUS SPEED on jumping. Awkwardly placed on heels entering the bend. MAXIMUS SPEED (3) - briefly bumped with SUCK IT UP on jumping. Raced in tight quarters rounding the bend to the inside of GOLDSTAR ARIA. GOLDSTAR ARIA (6) - awkwardly placed to the outside of MAXIMUS SPEED rounding the bend. Placed in tight quarters between runners exiting the bend. HOMEBUSH BOMBER (7) - hampered rounding the bend. Jostled briefly with GOLDSTAR ARIA exiting the bend. TIGGERLONG DEMON (8) - slow early.
