Judicial report: SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT - Christchurch GRC 17 December 2020.

Trainer J McCook advised that injuries to MAYBE RIGHT (sesamoid fracture) and SURE WINNER (triceps strain) were detected after racing at Addington last night.

JUDICIAL REPORT

1) A trial dog of M Dempsey was diagnosed with kennel cough. As a consequence to this all runners engaged to race today and all subsequent race days were scratched at the direction of GRNZ.

2) TWO BE FRANK (B Dann) was diagnosed to have kennel cough at the late kenneling and late scratched from Race 10. As a result all runners of Mr Dann engaged to race today and all subsequent race days were scratched at the direction of GRNZ.

3) GOLDSTAR JOURNEY (R Evans) was stood down for 28 days after Failing to Pursue the Lure during Race 5.

Ran outwards final bend checking BORN TRIXIE which fell. Assessed by vet and cleared of injury. GOLDSTAR FARRYN (4) - clear last on jumping. GORILLA'S SMILE (5) - ran inwards into bend tightening LITTLE KID. KING KONG BLONDE (6) - pushed wide by LITTLE KID on bend. HILTON JOKER (7) - pushed wide on bend. BORN TRIXIE (8) - ran wide on bend then angled inwards and was checked final turn by LITTLE KID falling in consequence. Assessed by vet and cleared of injury. Stood down for 5 days as a precaution.
Race 2	mayhounds.org.nz Rehoming Group Sprint - C0 - 295	GOTCHA TROY (1) - ran wide final turn. MUSTARD CUSTARD (2) - slow to jump. Pushed wide by COLBY EXPRESS home straight. COLBY EXPRESS (5) - slow then checked by KNOW BEAST early stages losing ground. Ran outwards home straight pushing runners wide. KNOW BEAST (7) - ran inwards early stages checking COLBY EXPRESS. Contacted by GOLDSTAR LOVIE into bend. GOLDSTAR LOVIE (8) - ran inwards into bend contacting KNOW BEAST and was turned for a stride losing momentum. Pushed wide home straight.
Race 3	Selwyn-Rakaia Vet Services Stakes - C0 - 520	OPAWA MARGARET (1) - stumbled and fell into first bend hampering FIRED UP BRODIE in the process. Assessed by vet and found to have a triceps muscle injury. CLARKE'S SARKI (3) - pushed down track by outside runners early stages. GOLDSTAR TANNER (4) - slow to jump. Hampered by fallen runner first bend losing ground. GOLDSTAR LINDA (5) - hampered by MY MERIT early stages. FIRED UP BRODIE (8) - hampered and pushed wide by OPAWA MARGARET into first bend. MY MERIT (9/6) - ran inwards early stages hampering GOLDSTAR LINDA.
Race 4	Dave Robbie Photographer Dash - C1 - 295	HADES (1) - slow to jump. Pushed down track by OPAWA COOPER in home straight. ROSIES CHOICE (3) - pushed outwards into bend losing ground. Pushed wide by GOLDSTAR SLATER final turn. FOXY ROSE (4) - raced wide final bend then angled inwards contacting OPAWA COOPER. OPAWA COOPER (5) - slow to jump. Dictated inwards by FOXY ROSE early in run home pushing HADES inwards. SEA SPRAY BERT (7) - raced wide on bend. GOLDSTAR SLATER (9/6) - awkwardly away losing ground. Ran outwards final turn pushing ROSIES CHOICE wider.
Race 5	Camside Stud Stakes - C1 - 520	OPAWA LYN (1) - tightened by GO PUNTER GO into first bend losing ground. Ran outwards pushing DIAMOND DAZZLED wider on that bend. OHOKA KATE (2) - slow to jump then ran outwards making heavy contact with GOLDSTAR JOURNEY. Ran wide back straight. SMOOTH STEP (4) - slow to jump. GO PUNTER GO (5) - ran inwards into first bend tightening OPAWA LYN. GOLDSTAR JOURNEY (7) - slow to jump then made heavy contact with OHOKA KATE. Eased and ran off the track on the first bend failing to complete the race. Assessed by vet and found to have quadriceps soreness with a 10 day stand down recommended. Stood down for 28 days for Failing to Pursue the Lure and must complete a Satisfactory Trial. DIAMOND DAZZLED (8) - pushed wide by OPAWA LYN first bend.
Race 6	Clarkson's Sign Studio Sprint - C1 - 295	SMASH ZONE (1) - slow to jump. LAKOTA TONKA (2) - tightened into bend losing ground. YAPPY YAP (4) - lost ground home straight. Assessed by vet and found to have wrist pain. TONKAWA (7) - ran wide final bend. LAUTREC (8) - ran wide final bend.
Race 7	Casswoods for Carpet Binding & Mats Dash - C1 - 295	MR KUMAR (1) - slow to jump. ADOBE SPINNER (2) - ran outwards final turn pushing OPAWA PINK wider. OPAWA PINK (4) - contacted by outside runners early stages. Pushed wide by ADOBE SPINNER final turn. YANIRA BALE (5) - tightened early stages losing ground. PLATONIC AFFAIR (6) - badly tightened early stages losing ground. STANWYCK (7) - ran inwards early stages tightening inside runners. Ran wide final turn.
Race 8	Beach Cafe & Wine Bar Sprint - C1 - 295	YOUNG ROMEO (1) - ran outwards on bend contacting SMASH TRUST. SMASH TRUST (2) - came up with the lid and lost ground. Dictated inwards by GOLDEN KIWI into bend. Contacted by YOUNG ROMEO on bend. GO GUNNA (4) - slow to jump. Raced very wide around bend. GOLDEN KIWI (5) - pushed down the track by GOLDSTAR HALSEY early stages. Assessed by vet and found to have a split webbing. GOLDSTAR HALSEY (6) - ran inwards early stages pushing GOLDEN KIWI down the track. DELAROCHE (7) - contacted by KNOW NUGGET final bend. KNOW NUGGET (8) - ran inwards final bend and was turned sideways when contacting DELAROCHE.
Race 9	Swimming Goat @ Stud Sprint - C1 - 295	CARAMEL ROSE (M Dempsey) was a late scratching under GRNZ Rule 5.1(v) TIGGERLONG PAT (1) - tightened on bend losing ground. DIAMOND HARMONY (3) - tightened into bend and ran wide pushing GOLDSTAR WYNTER winter. GOLDSTAR WYNTER (4) - badly tightened into bend then pushed wide by DIAMOND HARMONY losing chance. KNOW MAJORITY (6) - checked outwards off heels into bend. Pushed wide on bend. MUSTANG MEGAN (7) - ran inwards into bend tightening inside runners. OPAWA NIP (8) - pushed wide on bend.
Race 10	Livamol Dash - C2 - 295	TWO BE FRANK (B Dann) was a late scratching at kenneling when diagnosed with Kennel Cough. As a result the remainder of the runners of B Dann were scratched and all runners engaged in all subsequent race days were scratched at the direction of GRNZ. REGAL VALIANT (4) - slow to jump. HORSE RANGE OPAL (5) - raced wide final turn. LAKOTA WICHAPI (9/1) - raced wide final turn. KNOW FAREWELL (10/8) - slow to jump.
