This meeting was closed to public due to Government restrictions surrounding Covid - 19 and was run under Greyhound Racing New Zealand Work Safe Covid - 19 protocols for Level 2.

Waikato GRC 23rd August 2020:

Race 4 Terminating Pick6 Sprint;

1). The J.C.A received a Review lodged by trainer E Potts against a decision handed down by the Stewards against her greyhound DUNDEE GLITTER in the above race. The Stewards determined, under the provisions of Greyhound Racing New Zealand's Rule 55.1.b, that DUNDEE GLITTER had failed to pursue the lure during the running of the above mentioned race. At the hearing held at Manukau Raceway on the 7 September 2020 the J.C.A, having viewed the replay vision and taking into account evidence tendered by Stewards, Miss E Potts and witness for Miss Potts, Mr N P Green found that it was correct for the Stewards to form the opinion that DUNDEE GLITTER had failed to pursue the lure and the review was dismissed.

Race 11 Mike Stent Decorators New Zealand Derby Heat 4;

1). Trainer E Potts has reported Stewards that IRON EYES had pulled up lame in its left hip support following the above event.

Auckland GRC 6th September 2020:

Race 7 Terminating Pick6 Stakes;

1). Trainer P Ferguson has reported to Stewards that after reviewing the race replay he was of the opinion that his greyhound GO HOME DUKE had shortened stride over the concluding stages which may have been signs of cramp. He further added that GO HOME DUKE had became quite stressed on the trip home, which could also have contributed to cramping if he was a little off colour before the race. Mr Ferguson advised his intentions were to give GO HOME DUKE a week off and to trial prior to racing again.

2). Race 12 Jack's Wholesale Meats Sprint;

Stewards have concluded their investigation surrounding the circumstances Trainers R & N O'Regan failing to present their greyhound BLOCKER for a Veterinary examination when requested. After taking into acount the explanation tendered by Mr O'Regan Stewards took the matter no further other to remind the kennel partnership of their obligations under the rules of GRNZ.

MARGAUX (3) - squeezed for racing room early stages. RUBY EXPRESS (4) - came up with the lid and was slow away in consequence. Checked when placed on heels entering the bend losing momentum before clipping the heels of MY BRO JET. LOUDRED (5) - squeezed for racing room early stages losing ground. Awkwardly positioned on heels rounding the bend. MY BRO JET (6) - shifted down the track in the initial stages placing inside runners in some difficulty. Checked from behind entering the bend and again early stages of the run home.
Race 2	Mayhounds Greyhound Rehoming Group Sprint - C1 - 375	THEA WHO (1) - hampered early stages. Collided with DANISH DELIGHT prior to entering the bend. DANISH DELIGHT (2) - hampered early stages. Collided with THEA WHO prior to entering the bend. MY SNUGGLES (3) - hampered early stages. PICCOLO (4) - shifted down the track early stages hampering inside greyhounds.Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have a suspected bruised gracilis. BIGTIME TANK (6) - weakened late in the run home.
Race 3	Vetora Cambridge Sprint - C3 - 375	PORTLAND ECKLUND (1) - squeezed for racing room entering the bend losing ground. THRILLING DORA (2) - placed in restricted room entering the bend losing momentum. BIG TIME SMILE (7) - placed on heels rounding the bend.
Race 4	Greyhounds North Distance - C2d - 650	FEAR THE FUR (5) - began awkwardly. Brushed the hind quarters of BOYKA entering the first turn. BOYKA (7) - hind quarters brushed by FEAR THE FUR entering the first turn.
Race 5	Superior Chunky Dog Rolls Sprint - C3/4 - 375	ISN'T SHE SASSY (1) - jostled with PODIUM PHOBIA prior to the bend. Checked entering the bend losing considerable ground. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. PODIUM PHOBIA (2) - jostled with PREROGATIVE and then ISN'T SHE SASSY prior to the bend. Checked entering the bend losing considerable ground. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. ISN'T SHE SLEEK (3) - began awkwardly losing ground. PREROGATIVE (4) - raced shoulder to shoulder with BOTANY THOMMO through the early stages before jostling with PODIUM PHOBIA prior to the bend. Awkwardly placed between runners entering the bend before clipping the heels of BOTANY THOMMO losing ground and checking trailing greyhounds. BIG TIME FUZZ (5) - placed in restricted room early stages losing ground. BOTANY THOMMO (6) - raced shoulder to shoulder with PREROGATIVE through the early stages. Checked from behind entering the bend. FOREGO (7) - obliged to check outwards off heels rounding the bend.
Race 6	Happy 21st Birthday Shardae Hunt - C1 - 375	NEXUS (2) - hind quarters raced on entering the bend. EDDIE HEMI (3) - collided with ALPINO prior to the bend. Checked off heels rounding the bend. Coursed wide exiting the bend and through the run home. ALPINO (5) - slow early. Collided with EDDIE HEMI prior to the bend. Raced on the hind quarters of NEXUS entering the bend. Placed in restricted room shortly afterwards having to check. MY BRO BOBBY (8) - slow early. Coursed wide through the run home.
Race 7	Garrards Horse & Hound Sprint - C2 - 375	GREY WAY (2) - checked from the outside early stages. Awkwardly positioned on heels exiting the bend. SHERIFF LEE (3) - placed in restricted room early stages. ELECTRIC SHOCK (4) - placed in restricted room early stages losing ground. ALWAYS DREAMING (5) - placed in tight quarters early stages. GAIN CAPITAL (6) - dictated down the track early stages placing ALWAYS DREAMING in restricted room. FOOL'S RUSSIAN (7) - came down the track abruptly early stages placing inside greyhounds in restricted room.
Race 8	Affordable Pet Accessories Stakes - C5 - 457	BIG TIME PLUTO (2) - jostled with STEFANO in the run to the bend. STEFANO (4) - jostled with BIG TIME PLUTO in the run to the bend. BIG TIME KOBE (8) - slow early.
Race 9	Farmlands CopRice Stakes - C3/4 - 457	BAILEYS NICE (5) - shifted up the track in the run to the bend causing outside runners to be placed in restricted room. Obligated to race wide exiting the bend before changing ground to the inside entering the home straight. BIG TIME MAC (6) - placed in restricted room in the run to the bend losing momentum. Coursed wide exiting the bend obliging BAILEYS NICE to race wide. BIGTIME BRUNO (7) - placed in restricted room in the run to the bend losing momentum. Contacted from the outside prior to the bend. Checked outwards off heels rounding the bend. BIG TIME ANTON (8) - came down the track in the run to the bend contributing to BIG TIME MAC being placed in restricted room. Checked in off heels prior to the bend colliding with BIGTIME BRUNO as a consequence.
Race 10	Cambridge Cannonball Sprint - C5f - 375	CHARLOW (1) - contacted from the outside by SILENCI on jumping. SILENCI (2) - collided heavily with CHARLOW on jumping. SEE EYE BE (5) - jostled briefly with BUDDY BOOM early stages having to shift down the track across heels. BUDDY BOOM (6) - jostled briefly with SEE EYE BEE early stages. Referred to the Veterinarian after sustaining lacerations at the lure. OUR HEMI (7) - checked outwards off the heels of CAPTAIN KEV entering the bend losing ground.
Race 11	Mike Stent Decorators Ltd New Zealand Derby Final - R/Af - 457	THRILLING MORRIS (2) - shifted across heels exiting the bend. THRILLING BRUCE (3) - brushed with UTHOR BALE on jumping. UTHOR BALE (4) - brushed with THRILLING BRUCE on jumping. Raced in tight quarters for a period leading into the bend. Placed awkwardly between runners rounding the bend checking inwards off heels. BIGTIME COOPER (5) - contacted from the outside by ALLEGRO CURTIS early stages. ALLEGRO CURTIS (6) - dictated down the track onto BIGTIME COOPER early stages. Raced in tight quarters for a period leading into the bend before shifting off heels. THRILLING BAXTER (7) - forced ALLEGRO CURTIS down the track early stages.
Race 12	Farmlands Virkon Stakes - C5 - 457	SPRING BOOT (2) - contacted by HE'S ALL SHINE on jumping. Checked off heels in the run to the bend. Crowded for racing room entering the bend having to check. As a consequence to this the greyhound was dragged down before being heavily hit from behind by BIG TIME ROXY and fell to the track. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to be lame in both wrists and right hock. HE'S ALL SHINE (3) - contacted SPRING BOOT on jumping. Terminally checked entering the bend after climbing on heels. BIG TIME ROXY (5) - jostled with BIGTIME BRODY early stages. Jostled with BIG TIME JACKSON in the run to the bend. Collided heavily into the back of SPRING BOOT entering the bend falling to the track as a consequence. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have a partial dislocation of its right hock. BIGTIME BRODY (6) - contacted from the outside early stages by BIG TIME JACKSON and then BIG TIME ROXY being placed in restricted room and losing ground as a consequence. Terminally checked entering the bend. BIG TIME JACKSON (8) - shifted down the track abruptly early stages colliding with BIGTIME BRODY. Jostled with BIG TIME ROXY in the run to the bend. Crowded the racing line of SPRING BOOT entering the bend losing its hind footing briefly.
