Judicial report: This meeting was closed to public due to Government restrictions surrounding Covid - 19 and was run under Greyhound Racing New Zealand Work Safe Covid - 19 protocols for Level 2.

Christchurch GRC - 1st September 2020 - Race 4, Happy Birthday Michael May Dash

1). Trainer R Blackburn has advised Stewards that her greyhound 'GIRL MIDOR' had returned to her kennel lame subsequent to this meeting with the diagnosis being a suspected fractured sesamoid. Mrs Blackburn further advised it was her intention to retire the bitch.

Christchurch GRC - 4th September 2020 - Race 10, Amber Cleaning Services Stakes

1). Trainer L Waretini has advised Stewards that her greyhound 'LITTLE SECRET' had pulled up from this event with a sprained wrist.

Placed in restricted room exiting the bend colliding with DENARAU DELIGHT. HOMEBUSH DOLPHY (4) - placed in restricted room entering the bend checking and losing ground. Hampered exiting the bend. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. JINGILI JILL (5) - boxed first. Lost ground when placed in restricted room entering the bend. DENARAU DELIGHT (6) - hampered when racing to the outside of LAUTREC rounding the bend before being dragged down by this runner. Collided with LAUTREC exiting the bend. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. PUNCH ON JESSIE (10/8) - slipped on jumping losing ground.
Race 2	Steve Anngow Drapes & Blinds Ph0272719588 Dash - C1 - 295	RAILING RACCOON (1) - hind quarters contacted in the run to the bend. Climbed on the heels of ZOLA BLACK rounding the bend losing ground. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. DAPPER DANNY (2) - checked inwards off heels early stages. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have re-split a webbing on its left hind foot. HOMEBUSH BODEN (3) - placed in restricted room entering the bend. REGAL JOCK (4) - checked off heels in the run to the bend losing ground. Hampered rounding the bend. PUNTERS KIRSTY (5) - checked from behind in the run to the bend making contact with the hind quarters of RAILING RACCOON. ZOLA BLACK (6) - checked from behind rounding the bend losing ground. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury.
Race 3	kiwikiwihounds.co.nz Adoption Sprint - C1 - 295	PASCALE JEWEL (1) - checked off heels early stages losing momentum. SOZIN'S AZURE (2) - hampered and lost ground entering the bend. DONALBAIN (4) - awkwardly positioned between runners entering the bend losing ground.
Race 4	Dave Robbie Photographer Dash - C1 - 295	YAPPY YAP (1) - shifted up the track in the run to the bend hampering outside greyhounds before jostling with MITCHAM ROB. Collided with this runner entering the bend before being placed momentarily on heels. HOMEBUSH HOTSHOT (2) - hampered early stages. HOMEBUSH KIAN (3) - squeezed for racing room early stages. HORSE RANGE (4) - bumped with PLATONIC AFFAIR prior to the bend losing ground. MITCHAM ROB (5) - collided with DELAROCHE early stages before jostling with YAPPY YAP. Contacted and forced up the track entering the bend losing ground. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have a torn right hip support. PLATONIC AFFAIR (6) - boxed first. Checked off heels early stages. Bumped with HORSE RANGE prior to the bend before being checked by MITCHAM ROB losing ground. DELAROCHE (7) - collided with MITCHAM ROB early stages.
Race 5	Amber Cleaning Services Stakes - C1 - 520	KNOW ANXIETY (2) - awkwardly placed on heels prior to the first bend. OPAWA VIOLET (3) - jostled with BALDRICK early stages. BALDRICK (4) - boxed first. Squeezed for racing room early stages after being contacted from the inside by OPAWA VIOLET. JOE BONANZA (5) - boxed first. Jostled with BALDRICK early stages. Squeezed for racing room entering the bend losing ground. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. RIEKO (6) - boxed first. Squeezed for racing room entering the bend losing ground. SMASH MCDOUGAL (7) - slow early stages.
Race 6	christchurchgreyhounds.co.nz Dash - C1 - 295	HORSE RANGE OPAL (2) - raced wide exiting the bend and through the run home. LAKOTA TONKA (3) - coursed wide rounding the bend forcing ROCCO JEWEL to race wide. ROCCO JEWEL (4) - obliged to race wide rounding the bend. HOMEBUSH BEDE (6) - hindquarters contacted early stages by DOUBLE QUEENIE SECOND SUMMER (7) - slow early. DOUBLE QUEENIE (8) - came inwards at the start contacting the hind quarters of HOMEBUSH BEDE. Held up for racing room and awkwardly placed on heels rounding the bend. Checked off heels prior to exiting the bend.
Race 7	Suck It Up Ltd Sprint - C1 - 295	HOMEBUSH IVY (2) - placed in restricted room entering the bend causing IYLAH JEWEL to check. FATHER LEO (3) - contacted from the outside early stages. Hampered and had to check rounding the bend losing ground. Awkwardly placed on heels exiting the bend. WHITMAN (4) - contacted from the outside early stages bumping with FATHER LEO as a consequence. Checked rounding the bend and again exiting the bend. GOLDSTAR GALAXIE (5) - hampered early stages forcing WHITMAN down the track. OUR COOK (6) - checked early stages. IYLAH JEWEL (7) - came down the track early stages hampering inside greyhounds. Checked and lost ground when awkwardly placed to the outside of HOMEBUSH IVY entering the bend. KNOW ANGEL (8) - checked rounding the bend.
Race 8	greyhoundauctions.co.nz Stakes - C1 - 520	OHOKA MEGAN (2) - boxed first. NIGHTHAWK FRENZY (4) - shouldered with IMPRESSIVE JAZZ in the run to the first bend. MITCHAM MANERING (5) - awkwardly placed on heels entering the first bend and coursed wide as a consequence. IMPRESSIVE JAZZ (6) - shouldered with NIGHTHAWK FRENZY in the run to the first bend. Weakened final stages. Made contact with the running rail after the finish post. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. Connections advised the greyhound would be restricted to sprint course racing when engaged at Addington Raceway in future. DYNA XARVEL (7) - placed on heels exiting the first bend and again entering the final bend.
Race 9	Shirley Vet Clinic Stakes - C2 - 520	STUMPY BILL (1) - forced wide exiting the first bend. Jostled briefly with KNOW EQUAL and then PUNCH ON BUZZ exiting the final bend. KNOW EQUAL (3) - squeezed for racing room entering the first bend. Checked outwards off heels exiting the first bend obliging STUMPY BILL wide. Jostled briefly with STUMPY BILL exiting the final bend. PUNCH ON BUZZ (7) - jostled briefly with STUMPY BILL exiting the final bend.
Race 10	Murray & Hannah @ Ray White 033715005 Sprint - C1 - 295	GOLDSTAR JAY JAY (5) - bumped down the track erly stages. ELITE BLUEBLOOD (6) - squeezed for racing room after being forced down the track early stages. Lost ground when placed in restricted room entering the bend. CHICAGO HEAD (7) - forced down onto ELITE BLUEBLOOD early stages. Checked when awkwardly placed to the outside of ELITE BLUEBLOOD entering the bend.
Race 11	Beach Cafe & Wine Bar Sprint - C2 - 295	GOTCHA PIXIE (4) - slow early. DENUTO (5) - came up with the lid and was slow to jump in consequence. GOLDSTAR SPOTTY (6) - shifted in and placed GOLDSTAR PERRIE in some difficulty rounding the bend. GOLDSTAR PERRIE (7) - placed in restricted room rounding the bend. Collided with HOMEBUSH CARL exiting the bend. HOMEBUSH CARL (8) - collided with GOLDSTAR PERRIE exiting the bend.
Race 12	RE-ENERGISE Dash - C2 - 295	KNOW SHAME (4) - checked and lost it footing for a stride in the run to the bend. Lost ground when awkwardly positioned between runners entering the bend. Coursed extremely wide exiting the bend forcing GOLDSTAR HALSEY up the track. TONKAWA (5) - boxed first. Jostled with GOLDSTAR HALSEY early stages. GOLDSTAR HALSEY (6) - squeezed for room early stages. Forced to race extremely wide exiting the bend and through the run home. LAKOTA SCOUT (7) - jostled with GOLDSTAR HALSEY early stages.
