Track: Slushy After heavy over night rain the track came up slushy and heavy. The Club curator and staff did a very good job throughout the day to present a safe track to race on. All other equipment operated well.
Scales: Correct at all weights
Health and Safety comment: Nil.

Judicial report: This meeting was run under Level 2 Government restrictions and Greyhound Racing New Zealand Work Safe Covid-19 protocols.
Supplementary
Trainer M Gowan reported that HARPOON HARRY had sustained a minor gracilis muscle injury after racing on Friday night 28-8-2020.

1- KENETIC REBEL ( Kettlewell/ Phillips ) # 6 race 7 was a late scratching on vets advice pre- kenneling when found be in season on arrival to the track.

2- BILL BARNACLE (Agent/Williams) race 2 # 7 stood down pursuant with Rule 55.1(b) for 28 days and to complete a satisfactory trial (first offence).

3- RAINING SIXES ( B Goldsack ) # 7 race 11 was a late scratching at kenneling on vets advice.

Race 1	WELCOME TO HATRICK C0 - C0 - 305	IDOL ANDY (4) - tightened and checked in to the bend. Lost ground back to the rear. Was checked again across the top bend losing ground. HARDCORE LISA (6) - racing in tight quarters when checked and went sideways in to the bend. Checked again across the top bend losing ground finishing in the rear at the line. ARIANA SUNSET (7) - racing to the bend was awkwardly placed between runners. Contacted and checked racing in to the bend being pushed wide. Recovered to change ground inwards finishing in the midfield at the line. DILLER (9/1) - hampered racing in to the bend when clipped from behind. Was able to keep her ground to the line. SHOT OF CLASS (10/3) - went up with the lids.Checked in to the run when running up on to heels. Racing across the top bend came together with HARDCORE LISA and checked losing momentum and ground.
Race 2	AON CPF INSURANCE C0 - C0 - 520	BIG TIME GOLDIE (1) - racing in to the first turn was tightened and checked as she came back off heels.Lost ground back towards the rear in the run around the first turn. Was unable to make ground thereafter. DERRY BLUES (3) - racing in to the first turn was crowded and tightened back from between runners. Caught heels and checked losing momentum in the run around the first turn.Was unable to get back in to contention. ALFIE DAMAN (4) - angled across soon after the start. Was tightened and crowded racing around the first turn. Made some ground in the run to the line. BILL BARNACLE (7) - contact in the early running. Racing in to the first turn he eased turning his head outwards when clear of other runners.He raced widest thereafter and was never in contention . A veterinary examination found no abnormalities. Stewards spoke with co trainer K Williams and she was shown a replay of the race . BARNACLE BILL has been stood down ( failing to pursue ) with due commitment. His first offence 28 days stand down and to the completion of a satisfactory trial. SUPER REX (8) - fav- angled across in the run to the first turn causing crowding to several runners for some strides. Once clear improved to race handy thereafter.
Race 3	LASER PLUMBING C0 Final - C0f - 305	KIOSK (1) - Dwelt at the jump and was slow away. Awkwardly placed on the inner making contact with the rail in to the bend.Lost momentum for a few strides. Jostled with HOMEBUSH SUSAN turning in to the home straight. A veterinary examination found no abnormalities. BUTTER CHURN (3) - soon after the start angled across to the rail. Was then hampered for some strides as HOMEBUSH SUSAN lay inwards for a few strides.he recovered good ground to the line. JACK MARJEN (4) - went up with the lids .hampered when contacted in to the bend. Improving across the top bend when checked and ran wide losing ground. Finished in the rear at the line. HOMEBUSH SUSAN (5) - angled across in to the bend coming together with BUTTER CHURN. Racing handy between runners across the top bend when checked going back on to JACK MARJEN. Lost momentum and ground. Came together and jostled with KIOSK in the run to the line. GOLDSTAR MALONE (7) - went up with the lids and was last in to stride by 5 lengths. Made some ground past back runners to the line.
Race 4	ADEPT ACCOUNTANTS C0 - C0 - 305	UNWRITTEN LAW (2) - hampered for some strides in the run in to the bend when tightened and jostled as ALAMEIN SAM was pushed across. UWRITTEN LAW lost momentum and ground in to the midfield. Made good ground to the line. ALLEGRO GEMMA (3) - went up in the boxes as the lids lifted.Was last in to stride by 6 or so lengths.Tacked on to the rear of the field across the top bend and was held up for some strides. Made some ground to the line. Was referred to the vet and was found to have an unstable ligament p2-p3 right hind& found pain at base of gracilis muscle. ALAMEIN SAM (5) - angled across soon after the start. Was tightened between runners in to the bend. Settled in to the midfield and jostled with HARDCORE PATCHES in the run towards the home turn. HARDCORE PATCHES (6) - attempted to angle across to the bend tightening in on to ALAMEIN SAM. Jostled with this runner for some strides. Jostled with ALAMEIN SAM again for several strides towards the home turn.
Race 5	WWW.RACINGTIPS.CO.NZ C2 - C2 - 305	OPAWA FLASH (1) - settled back early bumped and jostled with WEBBER COME for some strides. Hampered when crowded in to the bend .Improved in the run to the home turn making good ground to the line. IDOL LUCY (2) - bumped coming off the mats.Settled handy and was hampered slightly racing in to the bend. Was able to keep her position in the running. WEBBER COME (3) - began awkwardly and was slow in to stride.Soon after bumped and jostled with OPAWA FLASH for a few strides. Was unable to clear heels to improve in to and on to the top bend.made good ground in to the home straight and lost a length or so when clearing hind quarters. HYPOTHETICAL (5) - in the run to the bend was bumped and jostled for some strides.Checked in to the bend was able to keep his position. ran wide on the home turn losing ground to the line. DOTTIE BELL (6) - soon after the start was tightened and checked.Shen then attempted to angle across in to the body of the field and was checked losing momentum in to the bend.was unable to make ground there after. BIG TIME BEAT (7) - soon after the start attempted to angle across. Was bumped and jostled for some strides when in tight quarters in to the bend. Went back to the rear passed back runners in the run to the line.
Race 6	AON CPF INSURANCE C1 - C1 - 305	This race started 4.30 minutes over the scheduled starting time due to a delay in getting access to Race Day control. PENNY MOWHAWK (2) - bumped and checked in to the bend as BIG TIME RICKY angled across on to her. She lost momentum and ground. made some ground to the line. COCKNEY RIP OFF (5) - checked in between runners in to the bend. Had trouble clearing heels on to the top bend.Couldn't finish on in the run to the line. PAVING WAY (7) - dwelt at the jump. Raced widest in to and across the top bend.Made good ground around runners to be handy on the home turn. Effort told in the run to the line. BIG TIME RICKY (8) - dwelt at the jump. Angled across behind runners bumping in to and checking PENNY MOHAWK in to the bend.He lost ground to the rear was unable to make ground there after.
Race 7	ACCELL "LEADING THE WAY IN CANINE THERAPY" C1 - C1 - 305	PORCELAIN PANDA (1) - angled outwards soon after the start checking LESLIE ALBERT. She angled back inwards in to the bend to get to the lead across the top bend. Angled wide in to the home straight finishing wide out at the line. GEMMAS DILEMMA (4) - in the run to the bend was bumped as LESLIE ALBERT was bumped outwards.Was forced to checked wide out over heels in to the bend as I'LL BE LOYAL angled in across her line. I'LL BE LOYAL (8) - raced wide towards the bend. She angled in between runners in to the bend making ground towards the leaders racing to the home turn. She finished on in the run to the line.
Race 8	WANGANUI TOYOTA C2 - C2 - 305	This race started 3.50 minutes behind the scheduled staring time. LIGHT CRUISER (5) - began awkwardly for a stride. Angled outwards then angled inwards in to the bend. She was tightened and checked coming back off heels to the rear. Was unable to make ground thereafter to the line. A veterinary examination found no abnormalities. COLLECT A DREAM (7) - angled across racing in to the bend across the face of LIGHT CRUISER. COLLECT A DREAM was contacted in the hind quarters and checked . She was checked again a few strides on when bumped.
Race 9	THE AVENUE KINGSGATE HOTEL,WANGANUI C2 - C2 - 305	CHECKPOINT (2) - tightened and in to the bend. Lost momentum and ground. Was unable to get back in to contention. SOZIN'S DELIGHT (5) - racing handy in to the bend when checked and stumbled for a stride as FUNZALO angled in across his line. He ran wide as he balanced up. Was unable to make ground to the line. OPAWA MARCIE (8) - angled across in to the bend coming together with CHECKPOINT for a stride or so. MICKEY MOWHAWK (10/4) - dwelt and was slow in to stride. Settled in the rear. Attempted to improve and ran on to heels on the top bend. was unable to make ground to the line.
Race 10	FIRST SECURITY C1 - C1 - 520	BIGTIME AVA (3) - went up with the lids. Checked herself in to the first turn as she came in on to BIG TIME FRANKIE and lost ground. Made some ground along the inner to the home turn where she hampered again as SPEED MACHINE angled in wards on to her shoulder. DANGEROUS DI (4) - racing handy on the inner when checked in to the back straight.She lost momentum and several lengths. She made good ground there after to the line. MAINLINE LIL (5) - began awkwardly for a stride. was then hampered for a stride or so before angling across. SPEED MACHINE (6) - fav- began awkwardly for a stride running in to the shoulder of MAINLINE LIL. Hampered in the run in to the first turn when running on to the heels of BIG TIME TOMMY checking out wide losing ground.Raced widest in to the back straight.Angled in to the shoulder of MAINLINE LIL on the home turn when out of contention. OTIS (7) - away well settled in to the lead in to the first turn. ran outwards in to the back straight. Chased the leader to the home turn .Weakened out in the latter stages in his first run over ground.
Race 11	PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C1 - C1 - 305	RAINING SIXES was a late scratching at kenneling when found to have injuries to the right fore. BIG TIME TATUM (1) - went up with the lids.Quickly improved making good ground to the line. TRAJAN (4) - went up with the lids.he was checked soon after the start and lost momentum and ground.Was looking to clear heels across the top bend finishing in behind midfield at the line. BIG TIME JUDA (5) - fav- soon after the start was tightened and checked back as THREE OF HEARTS angled across. She was hampered again racing in to the bend as THREE OF HEARTS crossed tightening her in on to IMPRESSIVE GIFT. She settled in behind the pace and made ground in the latter stages to the line. THREE OF HEARTS (6) - angled across soon after the start causing tightening and checks to several runners to her inner for some strides. COOL WOLF (8) - raced widest to the bend. Ran wide across the top bend when attempting to make ground around runners. Was hampered when dictated wide in to the home straight losing ground.
Race 12	SEE YOU FRIDAY C1 - C1 - 305	DOUBLE CHANGE (1) - went up with the lids and was last in to stride by 4 lengths. He angled outwards then inwards racing in to the bend.Was unable to clear heels on to the top bend. Made some ground in the latter stages to the line. SIDELINE SALLY (3) - Away well in to an early lead.Contacted in the hindquarters turning in as MY PABLO improved to her inner. She was run down in the latter stages. SHAMROCK GREEN (5) - fav-slow away . Soon after was tightened and checked back to the rear from the body of the field.Was unable to get back in to contention there after. BOOT CAMP TIARA (6) - forced to race widest in to the bend .Attempted to make ground around runners. Ran widest in to the home straight. MY PABLO (8) - angled across from wide out in to the bend.Contacted hindquarters of SIDELINE SALLY turning in to the home straight.
Race 13	KERNOW CONSTRUCTION C1 - C1 - 305	NIPPA-A-SPOT (1) - soon after the start he was checked and pushed sideways and jostled for several strides.He was tightened and checked in to the bend losing momentum and ground. Was unable to get back in to contention. IDOL WILSON (2) - checked back in the early running when tightened and ran on to heels. He went back to the rear and was dictated widest in to the bend. He was unable to make ground to the line. ELUSIVE ALIBI (4) - soon after the start was bumped and jostled for some strides as HURRICANE AL angled across.He was further checked as he was severely tightened running in to hind quarters. he was further hampered as he lay in on to THRILLING IVY and jostled and bumped for some strides then came back off heels to the rear. he did make some ground there after to the line. BIG TIME CLARE (8) - fav- settled handy. Went to improve early in the run home when faltered slightly. Hung on for 2nd placing. A veterinary examination found an injury to the left hind hock with swelling & fractured metatarsals on left hind with this injury being very unstable -The dog was euthanised on Veterinary advice.
Race 14	BOOK YOUR FUNCTION @ HATRICK C1 - C1 - 305	PARADOX PRINCE (5) - soon after the start changed ground outwards across heels running in to RAPID RENEGADE. He bumped and jostled this runner for some distance in the run to the bend. He ran wide on to the top bend losing ground. Made some ground to the line. RAPID RENEGADE (6) - Soon after the start was bumped and went outwards as PARADOX PRINCE cam outwards.He was then bumped and jostled in to the bend as PARADOX PRINCE attempted to angle across. he ran wide in to the bend losing ground. BIG TIME JEWEL (7) - Soon after the start she angled across the line of PARADOX PRINCE causing him to abruptly check out off her heels.
