Judicial report: SUPPLEMENTARY: Palmerston North GRC, 18 August 2020, trainer S Blackburn has advised Stewards that GRUNTY MAMA has been retired due to the injury sustained at this meeting.

SPECIAL REPORT:
This meeting was run under Level 2 Government restrictions surrounding Covid-19 and was run under Greyhound Racing New Zealand Work Safe Covid-19 protocols.

1- HOMEBUSH SUSAN ( S Gommans ) completed a satisfactory trial without blinkers and after a FTP charge on the 29-6-2020 is now cleared to be nominated.

Race 1	Welcome To Hatrick C0 - C0 - 305	FIRECRACKER (1) - racing handy to the bend when tightened and jostled and was clipped from behind on two occasions was able to keep his position in the running. IDOL ANDY (2) - handy in to the bend when severely checked as he attempted to angle across and was almost dragged down losing all chance thereafter finishing on to the lure a veterinary examination found no injuries. ALLEGRO GEMMA (3) - fav went up with the lids and was last into stride made ground to the line. GOLDSTAR MALONE (4) - racing in the midfield when checked into the bend as runners came back resulting in him running over hindquarters and going outwards losing momentum and ground. AL'S WITCH (5) - racing wide to the bend then angled inward and was checked and forced wide quickly recovered good ground to the line. HOMEBUSH LUTHER (6) - racing back to the bend then angled across soon after checked out widest in to the bend finishing towards the rear at the line. KIOSK (7) - checked into the bend as runners came back and lost ground finishing in the midfield at the line.
Race 2	The Avenue Kingsgate Hotel, Wanganui C0 - C0 - 305	BIG TIME CRUISE (1) - fav- dwelt badly at the start and was last into stride by 5 lengths did make some ground up along the inner to finish into 4th placing at the line. AHUROA WHIZZ (2) - in the run to the bend was bumped and jostled for some strides and checked back to the rear racing in to the bend finishing in the midfield at the line. JACK MARJEN (3) - settled back early improved along the inner into and around the bend keep his ground to the line. TUI TONIGHT (4) - racing to the bend was tightened and jostled between runners for some strides in tight quarters being eventually checked and fell nearing the home turn he recovered to his paws to finish onto the lure some distance back a veterinary examination found found no injuries with the dog being stood down for 5 days as per the fall in race policy. HARDCORE BRUTE (6) - in the run to the bend attempted to angle across and was bumped and jostled for some strides being clipped on his outer hind settled in the midfield ran wider on the home turn . MITCHAM LIAM (7) - in the run to the bend was hampered for some strides when attempting to angle across catching a heel of HARDCORE BRUTE on several occasions bumped and jostled in the run on to the top bend before checking TUI TONIGHT who fell with MITCHAM LIAM being checked in this incident losing momentum and finished on to the lure a veterinary examination found no injuries.
Race 3	Laser Plumbing Reverse Criteria C1 - C1 - 520	OHANA LAD (1) - hampered for some strides in to the first turn as MAINLINE LIL attempted to angle across settled a distant 3rd in the running weakened into the far bend. MARLEY FARLEY (2) - stood when the lids went up and was last into stride and struggled to make ground in a very strung out field MAINLINE LIL (3) - hampered for some strides in the run into the first turn when jostling with OHANA LAD for some strides. BLACK MAGS (7) - racing handy into the first turn when ran on to the hind of BIGTIME CHLOE losing all chance thereafter finishing in the rear at the line a veterinary examination found pain in the left bicep femoris hind BIGTIME CHLOE (8) - racing handy on the outer into the first turn when pushed outwards into the line of following runner who galloped on to the hind of MISS CHOLE almost dragging her down and had lost all chance thereafter a veterinary examination found pain right sartorius muscle.
Race 4	CPF Insurance C1 Heat 1 - C1q - 305 Heat 1	IDOL WILSON (2) - improving in to the bend when catching the hind of HASHTAG BLESSED for a stride and went back a length or so was unable to make ground thereafter. HOMEBUSH JORDIE (3) - went up with the lids and was last in to stride was unable to clear heels to improve in to the bend finishing in the rear at the line. BIGTIME BAXTER (4) - went up with the lids settled back on the inner made ground to the line. RAINY RIVER (5) - away well vying for the lead when bumped racing into the bend was able to keep his ground to lead across the top bend fought on well for 3rd placing at the line. ALAMEIN FELIX (6) - fav- dwelt at the jump soon quickly improved forwards angled across and bump with RAINY RIVER racing in to the bend was forced to race wide thereafter and fought on to the line. MISTER BOOZE (8) - raced back and wide in the early stages was unable to improve to the line.
Race 5	Adept Accountants C1 Heat 2 - C1q - 305 Heat 2	GOLDSTAR AUBURN (1) - went up with the lids and was last in to stride by 5 or so lengths and was unable to get into contention thereafter. BIG TIME RICKY (2) - went up with the lids settled back was tightened and bumped racing in to the bend losing a length or so was unable to improve to the line. DANGEROUS DI (3) - angled across checking runners to her inner in to the bend trailed the leader on the inner to the home turn and came across heels in to the home straight losing some momentum for a stride or so. IDOL LITTLE GIRL (5) - checked in to the bend bumping with BIG TIME RICKY to her inner losing ground was unable to improve to the line. PAVING WAY (8) - raced extremely wide in to the bend making good ground towards the leaders fought on well to the line.
Race 6	www.racingtips.co.nz C1 Heat 3 - C1q - 305 Heat 3	ALAMEIN PUDLY (1) - improving on the home bend when angling outwards across heels becoming unbalanced for a stride or so fought well to the line. TRAJAN (2) - settled back on the inner tightened in to the bend then checked outwards hampering runner to his outer and was unable to make ground thereafter. RAPID RENEGADE (3) - dwelt at the jump tightened and checked in to the bend becoming unbalanced for a stride or so then checked again and was unable to make ground to the line. KINETIC REBEL (5) - dwelt at the jump and was slow into stride improved up between runners and was jostled in to the bend and clipped from behind losing momentum and some ground finishing in the midfield at the line. COOL WOLF (6) - was hard up on the front of the lids when they lifted and was very awkwardly in to stride settling well back and wide racing wide thereafter to the line.
Race 7	Aon Insurance C1 Heat 4 - C1q - 305 Heat 4	OTIS (1) - dwelt and was slow away was able to make good ground thereafter finishing on best to the line. BIG TIME TATUM (2) - dwelt and was slow away was able to make some good ground along the inner to the line. PORCELAIN PANDA (3) - went up with the lids then angled out across the back of the field to race widest thereafter. THRILLING IVY (4) - led out ran wide on the home turn losing her advantage and was run down in the run to the line. MANIMAL (5) - jumped well was then hampered for some distance to the bend where he was tightened between runners going back off heels to the rear was unable to make ground thereafter. HURRICANE AL (6) - from the jump angled across on to the shoulder of MANIMAL bumping and jostling with this runner for some distance in to the bend was unable to make ground to the line.
Race 8	Wanganui Toyota C1 Heat 5 - C1q - 305 Heat 5	CHECKPOINT underwent a pre race examination after getting loose from handler earlier and was cleared to start. CLANSMAN DOUGLAS (1) - dwelt and was last in to stride made some ground along the inner across the top bend. HOMEBUSH MAXI (4) - racing from the start was jostled between runners then settled in to tight quarters as they raced to the top bend where he was checked losing momentum and ground back to the rear was unable to improve to the line. WIFI SAPPHIRE (5) - soon after the start was tightened back from between runners then angled across striking more trouble racing in to the bend when in clear room made good ground wide out to the line. I'LL BE LOYAL (6) - began awkwardly for a stride or so was then jostled and tightened for some distance then was checked back racing in to the bend was unable to make ground thereafter. ALLEGRO KYLE (7) - fav- jumped in the air as he left the boxes then attempted to angle across tightening bumping and jostling with runners to his inner for some strides in the run in to the bend made some ground across the top bend checking runner to his inner finishing in the midfield at the line.
Race 9	First Security C1 Heat 6 - C1q - 305 Heat 6	GEMMAS DILEMMA (1) - away well then attempted to angle outwards bumping and jostling with runners to the outer jostled back in to the bend finishing in the rear at the line. ENTREE ONLY (2) - fav- dwelt and was last into stride soon after quickly made ground along the inner angled out across heels nearing the home turn to finish on best to the line. PARADOX PRINCE (6) - began awkwardly soon after was bumped and jostled for some strides as WATCH MARJEN angled outwards once clear of this runner he made ground in to the bend and was forced to abruptly check out off heels losing some momentum made good ground to the line. ELUSIVE ALIBI (7) - improving wider out towards the bend when he angled inwards across the face of PARADOX PRINCE and was hampered as this runner caught his hindquarters for a stride vied for the lead to the home turn could not withstand the finishing run of the winner. TAP OUT REG (8) - dwelt slightly at the jump once in to stride was making good ground wider out when checked racing on to the top bend going out wide and lost all chance from that point.
Race 10	Palamountain's Scientific Nutrition C1 Heat 7 - C1q - 305 Heat 7	BIGTIME COCO (1) - settled midfield on the inner checked and came back off heels in to the bend losing momentum and ground to the rear was unable to make ground thereafter. SEDGEBROOK COMET (2) - fav- jumped well soon lead was never headed. THRILLING ARNOLD (3) - racing handy on the inner when checked in to the bend losing momentum for a stride or so recovered good ground to the line. SAHARA PIPPA (4) - bumped hard soon after the start as BIG TIME JEWEL ran across then ran outwards across the face of several runners racing wide in to the bend making good ground around runners ran wide in to the home straight effort told in the run to the line. HOMEBUSH VASSY (5) - crowded in to the bend and went across to the rail was unable to make ground to the line. BIG TIME JEWEL (6) - ran inwards from the jump running in to and checking SAHARA PIPPA soon after angled across in to the bend checking THRILLING ARNOLD and chased the leader to the line. COCKNEY RIP OFF (7) - bumped with ALWAYS DIZZY racing from the start and was jostled for some strides to the bend ALWAYS DIZZY (8) - bumped with COCKNEY RIP OFF racing from the start jostled with this runner for some strides to the bend
Race 11	Accell Leading The Way In Canine Therapy C1 - C1 - 520	ALLEGRO SKYE (1) - led in to the first turn clear in the lead to the home turn hung on to dead heat on the line. OPAWA JUNE (3) - away well handy in to the first turn when checked losing some momentum and ground raced wide along the back straight and across the top bend effort told in the run to the line. PENNY MOWHAWK (5) - racing to the first turn was severely crowded between runners and checked back as they raced in to the first turn improved in to the midfield in to the back straight was unable to improve his position to the line. POPPY ROCKET (7) - away well handy to the first turn where she jostled with runners either side of her losing her position back towards the rear in the run to the back straight was unable to improve to the line. MITCHAM NIKORIMA (8) - raced wide from the jump angled inwards tightening runners racing around the first turn soon after caused himself to be checked losing ground racing wide towards the top bend finishing in the rear at the line
Race 12	See You Friday @ Hatrick Reverse Criteria C2 - C2 - 305	OPAWA TAI (1) - hampered for some strides on the inner in the run in to the bend came out over heels nearing the home turn when out of contention. BIGTIME ON TRACK (3) - dwelt at the jump and was slow in to stride then attempted to angle across tightening and jostling with runners to her inner for some strides in the run in to the bend going back to the rear and was unable to get back in to contention thereafter. MICKEY MOWHAWK (5) - crowded in to the bend tightened and checked back from between runners going back to the rear ran wide in to the home straight finishing in the rear at the line. PRETTY BELINDA (7) - raced wide in to the bend when unable to angle inwards did make good ground to the line. UNO ELEVEN (9/2) - in the run to the bend was crowded between runners and tightened back racing in to the bend angled outwards was improving around runners when checked nearing the home turn and finished towards the rear at the line.
