Track: Good Track was presented in a very good racing condition being well maintained throughout.
Scales: Correct at all weights
Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: SUPPLEMENTARY: Wanganui GRC 8 July 2020, trainer M Flipp was issued with a Minor Infringement Notice pursuant with Rule 40.3 in that she withdrew IDOL LITTLE GIRL (race 9) without valid reason. A fine of $250 was imposed (second offence). Ms Flipp was also reminded of her obligations with regards to the manner in which she addresses officials in future.

1-The lids failed to activate for race 8 -all runners removed from the boxes and cleared for a restart with the race being hand started and the race started 5 minutes late with no further problems.

2- Race 9 started on time as there was a sufficent time between races for there to be no delay.

3- The Club will attend to the problems with 305 sprint boxes before the next meeting.

Race 1 CPF Insurance C1/C2 - C1/2 - 305 BIGTIME CHRIS (2) - away well in the initial stages then jostled with runner to his inner and lost ground in to the bend as he ran on to heels and checked outwards finishing towards the rear at the line was assessed by the vet and was found to have an injury to the right deltiodeus muscle.
YARN SISTER (3) - racing in the midfield when tightened and checked in to the bend when clipped from behind losing ground back towards the rear
SEDGEBROOK SALLY (4) - racing in tight quarters and checked in to the bend unable to make ground to the line.
BIG TIME DUSTY (7) - began very awkwardly for a stride or so jostled with runner to his outer early stages was dictated inwards and checked in to the bend finishing in the midfield at the line.
ALLEGRO TAMMY (8) - contact in the run to the bend and was kept wide before angling closer in across the top bend making good ground to the line.
Race 2 The Avenue Kingsgate Hotel, Wanganui C1/C2 - C1/2 - 305 SAHARA DREAM (1) - began awkwardly and stumbled for a stride losing momentum settled in the rear made some ground to the line was assessed by the vet and was found to have right pectoral muscle pain.
BIG TIME LORNA (3) - fav- angled outwards from the jump running in to DOUBLE WHAT checking herself settled in behind the leaders on the outer unable to finish off in the run to the line.
DOUBLE WHAT (4) - soon after hte start was bumped and jostled between runners losing some momentum settled in the midfield unable to improve to the line.
MAHALA BAY (5) - bumped and jostled racing from the start lost ground in to the bend and failed to make ground there after was assessed by the vet and was found to have an injury to the left lattimus dorsi muscle
LIGHT CRUISER (6) - first out vied for the lead on the inner run down near the line.
FUNZALO (8) - began well vied for the lead finished best latter stages Trainer W Hodgson advised that a change in form tonight was in part to begining cleanly.
ZIPPING ROMEO (9/7) - stood when the lids lifted and was slowest in to stride
Race 3 Palamountain's Scientific Nutrition Distance C0 - C0d - 645 GAZZA'S GIRL (1) - best away in to an early lead settled in behind the leader in to the turn out of the straight weakened from across the top bend compounded in the run to the line.
THRILLING AMELIA (7) - fav- away well crowded soon after racing to the turn on the first occasion settled back made ground wide around runners across the top bend when checking over heels home turn made some ground in the latter stages to the line was assessed by the vet and cleared of injury.
NOVA WILLOW (8) - contact and checked and went sideways and ran wide in to the home straight on the first occasion then abruptly changed ground down towards the rail settled back was unable to get in to contention .
ALFIE DAMAN (10/5) - checked in to the home straight on the first occasion and ran wide settled in behind midfield gave ground in to the far bend finishing towards the rear at the line.
Race 4 www.racingtips.co.nz C3 - C3 - 520 GO GLOW (1) - racing to the first turn was contacted and was unbalanced for a couple of strides losing momentum and some ground was unable to get in to contention there after.
BIGTIME DAISY (2) - soon after the start was dictated across on to GO GLOW with both runners being checked settled back and wide when checked and lost ground in the run to the back straight and was unable to get in to contention there after.
BIG TIME CHAD (4) - dwelt and bumped with runner to his outer racing from the start settled made made good ground across the top bend to the line.
BIG TIME ROXY (5) - fav- dwelt and was bumped racing from the start settled back improved wide around runners in to the back straight and after covering a fair amount of extra ground in the running was unable to finish on in the run to the line.
JILLIBY LITSA (8) - out well forced to race wide in to and around the first turn chased the leader to the home turn stuck on well to the line.
Race 5 Wanganui Toyota Distance Feature - C2d - 755 BIGTIME CHLOE (2) - hampered for a stride or so in to the bend on the first occasion settled back held up for several strides in to the bend on the final occasion when looking to make ground along the inner in to the far bend and did make some ground to the line.
GRUNTY MAMA (4) - settled handy on the inner was checked in to the home straight on the first occasion checked again racing out of the straight jostled between runners racing in to the far bend unable to make ground to the line.
HOT PLATTER (7) - tightened in to the far bend when racing on the inner was unable to improve to the line.
THRILLING NINA (8) - best away in to the lead was never headed.
Race 6 Adept Accountants C3/C4 - C3/4 - 305 FREE THINKER (1) - raced in the body of the field in to the bend lost ground soon after finishing towards the rear at the line.
BIGTIME LEO (4) - unbalanced for a stride or so racing in to the bend.
BIGTIME BANJO (6) - bumped and jostled with ARTICULATOR racing in to the bend then ran wide improving around runners ran extremely wide in to the home straight finishing in the rear at the line
ARTICULATOR (7) - bumped and jostled with BIGTIME BANJO racing in to the bend
SUB TWENTY THREE (9/3) - held up for several strides in the run to the bend angled outwards in to the home straight was unable to finish on.
Race 7 Aon Insurance C3/C4 - C3/4 - 520 BIG TIME EDEN (1) - fav- dwelt and was slow in to stride improved in to the first turn and was forced to abruptly check out over heels losing momentum and several lengths made some ground in to the far bend couldn't sustain run to the line.
BIG TIME AMIE (3) - checked in the run in to the first turn as BIGTIME ROD angled across ran wide in to the back straight finishing in the midfield at the line.
ALLEGRO LANIE (6) - contact with BIGTIME BRET in to the first turn angled wide to avoid heels was unable to make ground there after.
BIGTIME BRET (7) - contact in the run to the first turn ran racing wide out over heels ran wide in to the back straight was unable to make ground to the line.
TUFF KNIGHT (10/2) - slow away settled back made some ground around the first turn soon after drifted off the back of the field and finished in the rear at the line was assessed by the vet and cleared of injury
Race 8 Mainfreight Transport C5 - C5 - 305 The lids failed to activate - all runners were removed from the boxes and vetted clear for a restart with this race starting 5 minutes behind the starting time. This race was hand started.
SIR DUGGIE (1) - soon after the start he angled outwards to race handy in to the bend where he came back off heels losing momentum and ground and was unable to get back in to contention.
BIG TIME FROSTY (3) - settled back in to the bend and was forced to abruptly check out over heels checked on to the top bend and ran wider on the track and lost all chance there after was assessed by the vet and was found to have a laceration and bruising over the right eye with vision being normal
BIG TIME PLUTO (5) - checked in the early stages angled outwards across heels to race widest in to the bend where he was severely checked losing all chance from that point was assessed by the vet and was found to have a right pectoral muscle injury.
BIG TIME KEVIN (6) - angled across the face of BIG TIME PLUTO soon after the start checking this runner.severely checked in to the bend as a runner came back on him he abruptly went outwards running in to BIG TIME FROSTY to his outer and lost all chance from that point was assessed by the vet and cleared of injury
BIG TIME CHANCE (8) - angled across in towards the bend and was kept wide in the running before angling inwards nearing the home turn.
Race 9 Accell Leading The Way In Canine Therapy C5 - C5 - 520 BIG TIME BABY (1) - tightened and checked in to the first turn recovered quickly back in to stride to make good ground to the line.
BIG TIME ELSA (2) - racing handy in to the first turn when tightened making contact with the rail losing momentum recovered in to stride really well to make good ground to the line was assessed by the vet and was cleared of injury.
BIG TIME BRIE (3) - severely tightened and checked racing in to the first turn losing momentum and ground quickly improved in to the far bend weakening in the run to the line and appeared to have cramped assessed by the vet and was cleared of injury.
BIG TIME IZZY (4) - bumped and jostled in the run to the first turn where she checked by falling runner and lost all chance from that point finishing towards the rear at the line assessed by the vet and was cleared of injury.
BIG TIME MAPLE (6) - leading in to the first turn when tightened and checked from behind and fell quickly back to her paws to finish on to the lure some distance back was assessed by the vet and no injuries found but has a 5 day stand down as per the race fall policy.
MISS POTENTIAL (8) - racing widest when severely checked racing in to the first turn recovered back in to stride finishing in the midfield at the line assessed by the vet and was found to have a mild right hip support injury.
Race 10 Laser Plumbing C1/C2 - C1/2 - 520 BIG TIME AMBER (5) - soon after the start was checked and stumbled was jostled again a few strides on settled back racing around the first turn was unable to get in to contention there after.
BIG TIME TRAE (7) - contact and dictated wide in to the bend settling back being hampered for a couple of strides in to the back straight settling back and was unable to improve to the line.
BIGTIME BENJI (8) - angled across soon after the start bumping with BIG TIME AMBER come together with BIG TIME TRAE in the run to the back straight
Race 11 First Security C3 - C3 - 305 FOOL'S RUSSIAN (1) - racing handy on the inner when checked in to the bend going back on following runner tightened and checked across the top bend losing momentum and ground back towards the rear was uanble to make ground to the line.
PRETTY BELINDA (2) - checked soon after the start as DYNAMITE DANGER raced across her line and was checked again soon after when running on to heels losing momentum and ground was unable to improve to the line.
RUNNING FREER (3) - dwelt at the jump and was slow in to stride made ground through the body of the field to the line.
DYNAMITE DANGER (4) - angled across from the jump running across the face of PRETTY BELINDA forcing this runner back in behind and ran in on to FOOL'S RUSSIAN checking this runner
CHOICE SISTER (7) - raced wide in and around the bend and to the line.
SEDGEBROOK LOVER (8) - forced to race wide around the bend and to the line.
Race 12 "Cheers" Charlie C3 - C3 - 305 COLLECT A DREAM (1) - hampered racing from the start as runner to her outer was bumped in on to her bumped and jostled again soon after for some strides losing momentum and ground made some ground to the line.
BIG TIME TINA (2) - bumped inwards racing from the start contacting runner to her inner held up in behind runners when unable to clear heels in to the bend was unable to get in to contention there after.
LIFE IS GOOD (3) - soon after the start and was pressured inwards between runners being jostled for some strides was then checked again in to the bend losing ground did make some ground in the run to the line.
WIFI ROBYN (5) - away well in to an early lead when tightened pressured and checked going back through the field then angled wide forcing runner to her outer extremely wide in to the bend and was unable to improve to the line.
JUSTA GIFT (6) - jumped well was then tightened and hampered for some strides as WATERLOO GIRL angled across forcing him in to tight quarters before he was able to angle outwards and to improve up towards the leaders and finished strongly in the run to the line.
ALLEGRO ELLA (7) - went up with the lids was slow in to stride forced to race widest in to the bend and raced wide there after finishing towards the rear at the line.
WATERLOO GIRL (8) - angled across from the jump causing tightening and checks to several runners and herself in the run to the bend.
