Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: 1) Race 10 was declared a no-race when the lure was positioned less than 5 metres from the leading Greyhound for a period entering the bend. Stewards reminded the Lure Driver Mr M Beeson of his obligations under GRNZ 51.1

2) Races 11 and 12 were abandoned when Mr Beeson made himself unavailable to drive the Lure with no Board approved person in attendance to take his place. As a result of this Stewards have opened an investigation into the conduct displayed by Mr Beeson post Race 10 and into the reasons the Club failed to have a second Lure Driver in attendance to drive the Lure.

Race 2	Greyhound As Pets C3/C4 - C3/4 - 457	BROKE BRAD (1) - contacted at the start. Raced wide throughout. ELECTRICAL STORM (2) - raced wide through the home straight. ALLEGRO CURTIS (3) - tightened at the start, then contacted BROKE BRAD. Contacted from behind nearing the winning post, becoming unbalanced and checking BIG TIME LANTAO from behind. BIGTIME BAILEY (4) - awkwardly placed behind runners nearing the winning post and unable to gain clear racing room. BIG TIME LANTAO (5) - bumped at the start, then tightened ALLEGRO CURTIS. Checked from behind nearing the winning post. A post race veterinary examination was carried out which revealed no injuries. ALLEGRO LANIE (7) - bumped BIG TIME LANTAO at the start. BIG TIME ANTON (8) - began awkwardly. Contacted ALLEGRO CURTIS from behind nearing the winning post when awkwardly placed behind runners.
