Judicial report: SPECIAL REPORT:

• This meeting was closed to public due to Government restrictions surrounding Covid - 19 and was run under Greyhound Racing New Zealand Work Safe Covid - 19 protocols.

JUDICIAL REPORT:

1). Stewards conducted checks on vehicles used for the purpose of transporting greyhounds to and from the race meeting today to ensure compliance with GRNZ's transportation policy is being undertaken.

2). Race 6 (645 metre) was hand started due to a mechanical fault.

3). SPEEDY BOSS (J & D Fahey) - Mr Fahey made application for the endorsement under GRNZ Rule 55 be cancelled due to completing 10 clear runs.

Race 2	Hart Family Greyhound Racing Sprint - C4 - 295	KNOW BABY (1) - slow early. MAJOR STORM (2) - slow early. Shifted up the track exiting the bend. GOLDSTAR TROOPER (4) - shoulder brushed and forced down onto heels entering the bend losing momentum. Placed in restricted room rounding the bend. MITCHAM USAIN (5) - brushed the shoulder of GOLDSTAR TROOPER entering the bend. Hampered rounding the bend. SMASH WILD (7) - checked from behind rounding the bend. Hampered exiting the bend. KING TOLIMAN (8) - awkwardly placed on heels rounding the bend.
Race 3	Beach Cafe & Wine Bar Dash - C4 - 295	DISOBEDIENCE (1) - obligated to check off heels entering the bend losing ground. OPAWA OSCAR (4) - bumped with GOLDEN BAY early stages. GOLDEN BAY (5) - placed in restricted room early stages. SOUFFLE SUE (6) - placed in restricted room early stages. BLACK ROUNDER (7) - bumped with OPAWA OSCAR early stages.
Race 4	Suck It Up Ltd Stakes - C3 - 520	ORINA ALLEN (1) - turned outwards exiting the final bend after placing pressure on DYNA VARSITY. DYNA VARSITY (3) - forced down the track early stages before checking off heels. Hampered for racing room final bend. FAMOUS LEE (4) - obligated to check off heels early stages. KNOW CONCLUSION (6) - slow early.
Race 5	Thursday Place Pick Sprint - C5 - 295	ZIPPING HOUDINI (2) - began awkwardly. BECK ELEVEN (4) - checked off heels exiting the bend colliding with JUST IZZY as a consequence. PITA RAMOS (5) - placed on heels entering the bend losing momentum. JUST IZZY (7) - lost ground when awkwardly positioned to the outside of OPAWA DI entering the bend. Contacted from the inside by BECK ELEVEN exiting the bend. SPEEDY BOSS (8) - hampered briefly exiting the bend.
Race 6	My Redeemer Distance - C1/2d - 645	OPAWA HILARY (1) - bumped with GEM early stages. Squeezed for racing room first turn. GEM (2) - bumped with OPAWA HILARY early stages. MIGHTY MUSCLE (4) - hampered first turn. GOLDSTAR SYDNEY (6) - brushed the hind quarters of DYNA DAVE early stages before shifting off this runners heels. DYNA DAVE (7) - hind quarters bumped by GOLDSTAR SYDNEY early stages. Faltered in its gait and shifted up the track entering the kennel bend losing ground. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have sustained a right gracilis tear, left front lateral sesamoid sprain and a possible hairline fracture to its left metacarpal.
Race 7	Garrard's Horse And Hound Sprint - C5 - 295	ALL CONSUMING (2) - shifted up the track rounding the bend dictating TRICKY wide. HOMEBUSH CAESAR (4) - boxed first. TRICKY (6) - forced up the track rounding the bend and obliged to check off heels losing momentum. CHANYAKA (7) - checked from behind rounding the bend losing ground. OPAWA VINNY (8) - slow early stages. Awkwardly placed on heels rounding the bend.
Race 8	Kolorful Kanvas R/A Feature - R/A - 520	XABIL BALE (1) - hampered in the run to the first bend. Awkwardly placed between runners entering the first bend shifting up the track as a consequence. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have torn ligaments in a right front toe. ELECTRIC SILK (2) - placed in tight quarters in the run to the first bend. OZZIE (3) - contacted from the outside early stages placing ELECTRIC SILK in restricted room. PEARLS ARE US (4) - forced down the track early stages bumping with OZZIE. Hampered prior to the first bend losing momentum. Clipped the heels of GOLDSTAR MAUNEY entering the back straight and obliged to race wide as a consequence. OPAWA TODDY (5) - slow to jump. QUINCY BALE (6) - hampered for racing room early stages having to check. GOLDSTAR MAUNEY (7) - slow to jump. Obliged to race up the track first bend. Checked from behind and raced wide entering the back straight.
Race 9	Shirley Vet Clinic Stakes - C3/4 - 520	OPAWA NAT (2) - bumped with OPHELIA ALLEN prior to the finish line. OPHELIA ALLEN (3) - bumped with OPAWA NAT prior to the finish line. KNOW EQUAL (5) - slow to jump settling last. DARLA BALE (7) - held up final bend.
Race 10	greyhoundauctions.co.nz Stakes - C5 - 520	OPAWA CUTIE (2) - brushed the hind quarters of SPRING FALCON in the run to the bend. Shifted outwards off heels entering the first turn dictating SPRING FALCON wide. SPRING FALCON (3) - had hind quarters brushed in the run to the first bend. Dictated wide entering the first turn. Jostled with PUNTERS A HERO exiting the final bend. PUNTERS A HERO (4) - bumped with OPAWA DEAL on jumping. Jostled with SPRING FALCON exiting the final bend. OPAWA DEAL (5) - bumped with PUNTERS A HERO on jumping before losing balance when awkwardly placed between runners. BERTIE ALLEN (6) - placed OPAWA DEAL in restricted room early stages. Lost ground with the field from the winning post on the first occasion. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. Performance noted.

COUNTRY GENT (2) - placed awkwardly between runners early stages having to check. AMURI LIV (3) - bumped with OAKMONT early stages before being crowded for racing room losing ground. OAKMONT (4) - bumped with AMURI LIV early stages before being crowded for racing room. Checked up the track rounding the bend. FRIZZLED (5) - shifted down the track early stages impeding the racing line of inside greyhounds. CULVIE NESS (7) - checked outwards off heels entering the home straight.
