Weather: Cloudy
Track: Dead After heavy rain early in the morning the track was slushy on initial inspection -the curator matted the track several times reducing the surface water and by the start of racing the track had improved and was well maintained throughout the meeting. All other equipment operated well.
Scales: Correct at all weights

Judicial report: 1- BIG TIME AMIE #5 race 13 was a late scratching on vets advice.

Race 1	Taranaki Vet Centre C0 - C0 - 305	CITIZEN ZAGREB (1) - soon after the start attempted to angle outwards tightened and checked in to the bend was galloped on and almost dragged down losing all chance thereafter a veterinary examination was found to have a shoulder injury. IDOL LUCY (2) - racing to the bend was tightened and ran on to heels as runners came back losing ground. ALAMEIN GRAEME (4) - angled across soon after the start severely tightening runners to his inner for some strides. WIFI ROBYN (6) - fav- began awkwardly for a stride or so was clipped slightly coming off the mats raced up handy but wide around the bend to the line. JACK MARJEN (7) - dictated across in to the bend running in to hind quarters and checked outwards extremely wide in to the bend losing all chance thereafter. CHIC IN TIME (8) - angled across towards the bend dictating runner to her inner inwards on to inside runners.
Race 2	Presidents Trophy C0 - C0 - 520	GOLDSTAR HADLEE (3) - racing back around the first turn when checked by crossing runner and again towards the back straight losing momentum and several lengths back to the rear made ground in the latter stages. ALFIE DAMAN (5) - stood when the lids lifted and was last away raced widest around the first turn in to the back straight covering extra ground finishing towards the rear at the line. DERRY BLUES (6) - hampered racing in to the first turn when catching heels losing momentum back towards the rear made good ground thereafter to the line. ALLEGRO RORY (8) - first start over ground checked racing around the first turn checked into the far bend when racing towards the rear checked again soon after and finished a margin in the rear at the line a veterinary examination found a spike wound on top of 4th toe left hind at mt-p joint was given a local and wound stapled.
Race 3	Andrew Purser Panel Beaters Hawera C0 - C0 - 305	MY EMMETT (3) - ran outwards from the jump running in to WIFI BOLT and bumped and jostled with runners to his outer for some strides in the run to the bend FRECKLE (4) - went up in the boxes and was last in to stride by several lengths soon after angled out wide and covered a fair amount of extra ground in the running. WIFI BOLT (5) - fav- began fair was then bumped and jostled between runners for some distance in the run to the bend losing ground appeared to be uncomfortable in his galloping action in the run to the line a veterinary examination was all clear. SIDELINE SALLY (6) - angled across from the jump bumping and jostling with runners to her inner for some distance then catching heels and falling in to the bend recovered to her paws to finish on to the lure a veterinary examination pain in left infraspinatus muscle origin. AHUROA WHIZZ (7) - soon after the start angled across on to SIDELINE SALLY bumping and jostling with these runners for some strides in the run to the bend.
Race 4	Pak N Save Hawera C1 - C1 - 305	LIMPY JACKSON (2) - went up in the boxes tightened and checked in to the bend made good ground thereafter to the line. MONTY (3) - tightened between runners racing from the start tightened and checked back again in to the bend losing momentum and ground back to the rear was unable to make much ground thereafter. DOUBLE CHANGE (5) - went up with the lids improved in between runners racing to the bend causing tightening and checks to runners either side and lost ground himself was unable to get back in to contention. SMALL BOY (6) - hampered when racing between runners in to the bend for several strides. LESLIE ALBERT (8) - hampered in to the bend when unable to clear hind quarters and raced wide and was unable to make ground thereafter.
Race 5	R. Buckland Recycling C1 - C1 - 520	ZIPPING ROMEO (1) - bumped inwards soon after the start checked and went sideways in to the first turn then came out on to JAY MIKE both runners checked raced widest in to the back straight was unable to make ground thereafter. BIGTIME CHLOE (4) - bumped soon after the start checked and went sideways in to the first turn losing ground was unable to improve thereafter finishing in the rear at the line a veterinary examination was all clear. JAY MIKE (7) - last in to stride checked in to the first turn losing momentum and ground was unable to get back in to contention thereafter
Race 6	Remembering Melissa Symes C1 - C1 - 305	WATERLOO PINK (1) - from the jump ran outwards causing tightening and checks to several runners for a few strides was then pushed back inwards causing tightening and checks to runners in behind racing to the bend. RAINING SIXES (2) - racing from the start was severely tightened between runners and jostled for some strides tightened and checked again in to the bend and again soon after checked nearing the home turn and ran wide finishing in the rear at the line. BLACK WIDOW BABY (3) - racing from the start was tightened and forced back from between runners losing momentum and ground. JACKS POINT (5) - soon after the start was checked and went outwards abruptly becoming unbalanced going back then angled inwards in to the bend tightening and checking runners to her inner losing momentum and finished towards the rear at the line.
Race 7	Egmont A & P Association C1 - C1 - 520	YOUNG DUMB BROKE (1) - handy when tightened and checked racing in to the first turn losing ground back towards the rear was uanble to make ground thereafter. GRUNTY MAMA (4) - racing handy in to the first turn when checked as runner to her outer was forced across on to her hindquarters losing momentum and ground back towards the rear was hampered when attempting to clear heels across the top bend was unable to make ground thereafter. ROCKONEVA (5) - handy in to the first turn when contacted in behind and pushed forward on to hindquarters and checked stumbling for a stride or so as she went outwards losing momentum and settled well back was unable to make ground to the line a veterinary examination pain in left hind calf muscle. NOVO OLLIE (7) - fav- began awkwardly checked in to the first turn losing ground back towards the rear contact on the home turn only battled to the line. MOTHER'S TOUCH (8) - raced extremely wide in to and along the back straight after covering extra ground finished close up at the line.
Race 8	Local TAB Sports Bar C3 - C3 - 305	IDOL STEFFIE (1) - began awkwardly bumped and jostled for some strides then tightened and checked back racing in to the bend losing ground was unable to get back in to contention. SUB TWENTY THREE (2) - racing to the bend bumped and jostled with runner to his inner for some strides was then dictated inwards and tightened was able to then clear runners and made some ground. BIG TIME TATUM (3) - racing to the bend angled outwards was then dictated back inwards on to runners and tightened coming back off heels to the rear was unable to improve thereafter. BIGTIME CHRIS (7) - forced to race wide when attempting to improve around runners. GO ASH (8) - angled across towards the bend causing tightening and checks to several runners to his inner.
Race 9	Greyhounds As Pets C2 - C2 - 520	BIGTIME BAILEY (1) - tightened and checked contacting the rail for a couple of strides racing in to the first turn soon after came back off heels losing momentum and ground was unable to make ground thereafter finishing in the midfield at the line a veterinary examination found pain in right hind quadriceps & left hind gracilis muscles. MY KHLOE (3) - tightened in to the first turn checking losing some ground checked again in the run towards the back straight losing momentum and ground was unable to improve thereafter. STORMY JAY (4) - angled across in to the bend tightening runners to her inner soon after crossed to the rail checking runner to her inner was unable to make ground thereafter.
Race 10	Dimocks Electrical C4 - C4 - 305	There was no photo finish for this race. BIGTIME HONEY (2) - leading in to the bend when severely hampered when contacted and turned sideways then tightened from her outer losing momentum and ground back finishing in midfield at the line a veterinary examination found pain in left & right lattimus dorsi muscles & right quadriceps BIGTIME LEO (3) - checked when racing back in to the bend soon after was left in clear running and made very good ground to the line. BIG TIME VEGAS (4) - racing from the start ran in to tight quarters and was checked angled across to the rail and was forced on making contact with the rail then ran on to the hind of BIGTIME HONEY as this runner was checked back BIG TIME VEGAS went up in the air losing momentum back towards the rear a veterinary examination was all clear. CRIMINAL JUSTICE (6) - racing from the start dictated across soon and was pushed across on to runners to her inner and was checked back checked across heels and ran extremely wide losing all chance from there on in. BIGTIME JASMINE (7) - hampered soon after the start angled across soon after was then forced in on to runners and checked going outwards resulting in following runner running in to her hindquarters checking her checked again on the top bend finishing in the rear at the line a veterinary examination found to have a compound fracture of 5th toe left hind & wound with loss of skin rear forearm left fore both wounds dressed pain relief administered and may require xrays and surgery. BIGTIME JAMIE (9/5) - went up with the lids then attempted to angle across from the start and was tightened and jostled for some strides going back and was held up racing in to the bend made ground when clear along the inner to the line.
Race 11	Mikayla Clark Appreciation C3 - C3 - 520	VIBE (7) - bumped and checked racing in to the first turn settled back was unable. to get in to contention thereafter. BIGTIME BENJI (10/4) - hampered for some strides when racing in tight quarters in to the first turn held up for a stride or so nearing the home turn when looking to gain a run along the inner made good ground to the line when in clear running.
Race 12	Ivan Frost Memorial C5 - C5 - 305	BIG TIME PLUTO (1) - racing handy to the bend when checking out off heels forcing several runners to her outer wide on to the top bend. BIG TIME CHANCE (3) - settled back from the jump angled over in to the bend making contact with the rail recovered ground to the line a veterinary examination was all clear. BIG TIME GWYN (5) - checked between runners and forced wide in to the bend could not improve from the midfield to the line. BIG TIME BILLIE (7) - contact racing from the start forced extremely wide in to the bend losing ground was unable to improve thereafter. BIGTIME LIZZY (8) - checked in to the bend and pushed wide losing ground was unable to improve thereafter. BIG TIME TINA (9/6) - contact racing from the start hampered when trying to clear heels in to the bend going back and out wide was unable to make ground thereafter.
Race 13	Croucher & Crowder Taranaki Cup C5 - C5 - 520	BIG TIME AMIE was a late scratching at kenneling on vets advice. BIG TIME OCEAN (1) - began awkwardly fro a stride or so hampered for a couple of strides in to the bend was able to keep her ground to lead in to the back straight challenged for the lead nearing the home turn . SIMPLY SMOOTH (2) - handy when checked in to the first turn losing momentum and ground was unable to get back in to contention. BIG TIME JACKSON (4) - hampered when tightened between runners in to the first turn was able to keep his ground checked and stumbled for a stride nearing the home turn stuck on well to the line.
Race 14	Coprice Stakes C2 - C2 - 305	XANTHE JEWEL (2) - dwelt slightly was then tightened and jostled between runners for some strides jostled and checked again in to the bend and bumped outwards losing momentum and ground finishing in the rear at the line a veterinary examination was all clear. BIG TIME RUSTY (3) - racing from the start was bumped and jostled for some strides in to the bend losing momentum and ground was unable to make ground thereafter. LIFE IS GOOD (4) - soon after the start was tightened and checked jostled back towards the rear tightened between runners and checked again racing in to the bend losing momentum and ground was unable to get in to contention thereafter. AHUROA PRINCE (5) - soon after the start was tightened and checked going back off heels angled outwards racing wide in to the bend finishing in midfield at the line. ALLEGRO CURTIS (6) - fav- angled across the face of the field soon after the start causing tightening to several runners.
Race 15	Book Your Function @ Hatrick C2 - C2 - 305	BIG TIME DUSTY (1) - racing handy when tightened and checked in to the bend losing momentum and ground. NOT SHACKLEY (3) - improving and angling across in to the bend severely tightening runners on the inner for a couple of strides. TUFF TEMPTRESS (4) - racing from the start was bumped and jostled for some distance COCKNEY RIP OFF (5) - hampered soon after the start when jostled and ran on to heels angled out wide in to the bend and covered a fair amount of extra ground thereafter. ALAMEIN TANE (7) - angled across soon after the start coming together and jostling with FINAL STRAW for several strides went back and wide in to the bend was checked and stumbled badly for a couple of strides losing momentum and almost fell was unable to make ground thereafter a veterinary examination TBA to BELMONTS (8) - checked inwards across heels racing from the start was caught in between runners racing in to the bend making heavy contact with the rail losing all chance thereafter a veterinary examination found a cut on lower left side of his nose with swelling and bruising pain relief was administered.
