Christchurch GRC - 13 January 2020

1). AZKADELLIA (R Blackburn) - Mrs Blackburn has reported to Stewards that this greyhound had return to her kennels and was found to have a sprained hock which has necessitated the bitch to be spelled.

JUDICIAL REPORT:

1). ARCHIE JOHN HILL (J & D Fahey) - application was made and approved for the endorsement under GRNZ Rule 55 be cancelled after this greyhond had completed 10 races free of embargo this evening.

BASHFUL BUFFY (4) - hind quarters brushed and turned inwards slightly by OHANA LAD prior to the bend. KHATIA (6) - dragged down entering the bend losing ground. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. OHANA LAD (7) - brushed the hind quarters of BASHFUL BUFFY prior to the bend. Hindered by the checked MITCHAM BECKY rounding the bend before bumping with SOZIN'S AZURE. MITCHAM BECKY (9/3) - placed in tight quarters entering the bend climbing on the heels of KHATIA and losing ground. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury.
Race 2	Happy Birthday John McMillan Sprint - C4 - 295	KIWI GUNN (2) - awkwardly positioned on heels entering the bend having to shorten stride and lose momentum. CITIZEN AGUERO (4) - hind quarters clipped by SMASH GRENADE shortly after jumping. SMASH GRENADE (5) - brushed the hind quarters of CITIZEN AGUERO shortly after jumping. Shifted up the track hampering HILTON FORABET briefly early stages. Placed in restricted room entering the bend losing ground and checking the trailing GOLDSTAR TROOPER. Climbed on the heels of HILTON FORABET rounding the bend losing ground as a consequence. GOLDSTAR TROOPER (6) - had to check when awkwardly placed on heels entering the bend. HILTON FORABET (7) - hampered briefly by SMASH GRENADE early stages. Awkwardly positioned to the outside of CITIZEN AGUERO rounding the bend losing momentum before making contact with this runner, losing balance and eventually being dragged down by SMASH GRENADE falling to the track as a consequence. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury.
Race 3	Active Electrical Christchurch Dash - C3 - 295	HOMEBUSH RAPPER (2) - tightened briefly entering the bend. AMURI LIV (3) - collided with SPECIAL AFFAIR shortly after jumping after wanting to shift up the track. Awkwardly placed on heels entering the bend losing ground. SPECIAL AFFAIR (4) - collided with AMURI LIV shortly after jumping shifting outwards and bumping with ULYSSA BALE as a result. Hampered rounding the bend. ULYSSA BALE (5) - contacted from the inside by SPECIAL AFFAIR shortly after the start. TWO BE FRANK (6) - blundered on jumping.
Race 4	Addington Events Centre Sprint - C4 - 295	HILTON HANGOVER (1) - obliged to check outwards off heels several times when rounding the bend colliding with HOMEBUSH SAYER as a consequence. MEMOIR (2) - placed in restricted room entering the bend losing ground. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have a sprained right hock. GOLDSTAR WILLA (3) - squeezed for room early stages before being forced down the track. JAX JEWEL (4) - jostled with WILDEBEEST early stages. WILDEBEEST (5) - collided with FLEUR DIOR on jumping. Jostled with JAX JEWEL early stages. FLEUR DIOR (6) - collided with WILDEBEEST on jumping. HOMEBUSH SAYER (8) - contacted by HILTON HANGOVER rounding the bend.
Race 5	Thursday Place Pick Sprint - C5 - 295	DISOBEDIENCE (4) - lost ground when squeezed for racing room entering the bend. PITA RAMOS (6) - contacted VERSAILLES early stages. Placed in tight quarters prior to the bend before colliding with LISA'S BOY. LISA'S BOY (7) - hampered early stages. Collided with PITA RAMOS prior to the bend. MARTHA MAGIC (8) - awkwardly positioned to the outside of DISOBEDIENCE entering the bend. VERSAILLES (10/5) - contacted from the outside by PITA RAMOS early stages losing balance for a stride.
Race 6	Springston Hotel Dash - C3 - 295	MAJOR STORM (2) - obligated to check off heels entering the bend shifting up the track and hampering JOE BONANZA and PUNTERS LAST as a consequence. Awkward in its gallop there after tailing off. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have a large hematoma on its left axilla and a pectoral muscle tear. SPECIAL AS (5) - jostled with JINJA DYLAN in the run to the bend. JINJA DYLAN (6) - jostled with SPECIAL AS in the run to the bend. Propped and briefly lost momentum entering the bend. JOE BONANZA (7) - boxed first. Shouldered with PUNTERS LAST entering the bend. Terminally interfered with rounding the bend. PUNTERS LAST (8) - shouldered with JOE BONANZA entering the bend. Terminally interfered with rounding the bend.
Race 7	Garrard's Horse & Hound Dash - C4 - 295	FOREHAND RAID (2) - was slightly turned inwards entering the bend before being placed in tight quarters losing ground. COUNTRY GENT (3) - collided with KING TOLIMAN on jumping before being placed on heels losing momentum. KING TOLIMAN (4) - collided with COUNTRY GENT on jumping before being squeezed for racing room and losing ground. Awkwardly placed on heels rounding the bend. GOLDSTAR SPOTTY (7) - placed on heels losing momentum rounding the bend.
Race 8	Suck It Up Ltd Dash - C5 - 295	HOMEBUSH ALEXEI (3) - placed in restriced room rounding the bend being unable to improve. SOUFFLE SUE (4) - boxed first. HANKENSTEIN (5) - placed on heels in the run to the bend losing momentum. PLATINUM PAISLEY (8) - bumped HIGH DREAMER down the track early stages. HIGH DREAMER (9/7) - bumped down the track by PLATINUM PAISLEY early stages losing ground. Checked off heels rounding the bend.
Race 9	Christchurch Casino Stakes - C4/5 - 520	KNOW BETRAYAL (2) - bumped from OPAWA SWEET early stages before being obligated to check off this runners heels. Ran wide first bend. OPAWA SWEET (3) - bumped KNOW BETRAYAL early stages. OPAWA MAY (5) - awkwardly placed between runners exiting the first bend. START THE SHOW (6) - placed in restricted room entering the first turn bumping with DYNA MONTY. DYNA MONTY (7) - placed in tight quarters entering the first bend being turned and losing momentum. RINGSIDE (8) - checked when placing inside runners under pressure entering the first bend. Checked off heels entering the back straight.
Race 10	Kolorful Kanvas Feature - R/A - 520	OUR ANNA (2) - shifted up the track early stages hampering the running line of GOLDSTAR MAUNEY. Squeezed and had to check entering the first bend. GOLDSTAR MAUNEY (3) - hampered early stages. CREME BRULEE (4) - squeezed and obligated to check off heels early stages losing ground. BOLTY (5) - squeezed for racing room early stages losing ground. Checked off heels entering the first bend and raced wide as a consequence. OPAWA NAT (6) - squeezed for racing room early stages losing momentum. OPAWA TODDY (7) - slightly hampered entering the first bend.
