Christchurch GRC - 27th December 2019.

1). PRINCELY GOLD (J McInerney) - kennel representative J McInerney Jnr has advised Stewards that this greyhound had been found to have a sprained hock immediately following this meeting.

Otago GRC - 31 December 2019.

1). HOMEBUSH CAESAR (J McInerney) - kennel representative J McInerney Jnr has advised Stewards that this greyhound had returned home with a torn groin which may have contributed to its poor performance.

JUDICIAL REPORT:-

1). UTHOR BALE (A Roberts) - Mr Roberts made application today for the endorsement under GRNZ Rule 55 be cancelled after the greyhound having competed in 10 races free of embargo.

Forced up the track rounding the bend. Checked inwards off heels exiting the bend. KNOW LOGIC (5) - wide exiting the bend and throughout the run home. TWIZEL STORM (6) - slow early. Squeezed for racing room rounding the bend. CALL ME JOE (7) - shifted down the track early stages contacting the hind quarters of BALDRICK.
Race 2	Happy New Year Stakes - C3 - 520	Not all films were available for the purpose of reporting this race. GOLDSTAR ALASKA (1) - slow early. Brushed with OPHELIA ALLEN shortly after jumping. OPHELIA ALLEN (2) - began awkwardly. Brushed with GOLDSTAR ALASKA shortly after jumping. BASHFUL BUFFY (6) - bumped with VIKTORIA VIKKERS exiting the final bend. OPAWA SWEET (7) - slow to jump. REPLICA CASINO (8) - checked inwards off heels back straight. VIKTORIA VIKKERS (9/5) - bumped with BASHFUL BUFFY exiting the final bend.
Race 3	Happy Birthday Allan Joyce Sprint - C3 - 295	MAJOR STORM (1) - inclined to shift up the track rounding the bend jostling with OHANA LAD before becoming awkwardly placed on this runners heels losing ground. Awkwardly placed on heels again shortly afterwards losing further ground. MITCHAM READO (2) - shouldered with SMASH CALLING in the run to the bend before being placed in restricted room and losing ground. SMASH CALLING (3) - shifted up the track hampering JUSTIN RYAN early stages. Shouldered with MITCHAM READO in the run to the bend before being squeezed for racing room when racing to the inside of OHANA LAD losing ground. JUSTIN RYAN (4) - hampered briefly by SMASH CALLING early stages losing momentum. OHANA LAD (5) - shifted down the track entering the bend placing pressure on inside runners. Jostled with MAJOR STORM rounding the bend before being dragged down by this runner. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. OPAWA WAIHEMO (6) - inconvenienced and forced wide rounding the bend losing momentum. KNOW DEBT (7) - slow early. Forced wide rounding the bend.
Race 4	The Fitz Sports Bar Sprint - C4 - 295	STARR BLUEBLOOD (4) - awkwardly positioned on heels prior to the bend and lost momentum. JUST IZZY (5) - collided with FLEUR DIOR early stages. Squeezed for racing room shortly afterwards losing ground. FLEUR DIOR (6) - collided with JUST IZZY early stages. Squeezed and obligated to check off heels entering the bend losing ground. JAX JEWEL (7) - slow early. Lost ground rapidly rounding the bend when placed in tight quarters.
Race 5	Thursday Place Pick Sprint - C3 - 295	ULYSSA BALE (1) - became awkwardly positioned to the inside of PUNCH ON BUZZ rounding the bend losing ground. PRINCE ZULU (3) - contacted and forced down the track early stages. Held up for racing room and awkwardly positioned on heels rounding the bend. OPA'S MATE (4) - contacted from the outside by KING TOLIMAN early stages bumping with PRINCE ZULU as a result which was racing to its inside. Placed in tight quarters rounding the bend having to check and lose ground. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. KNOW BABY (5) - slow to jump before being squeezed for racing room and losing ground. KING TOLIMAN (6) - collided with OPA'S MATE early stages before being dictated down the track by GO MUFASA. GO MUFASA (7) - shifted down the track early stages placing pressure on inside runners. PUNCH ON BUZZ (9/8) - became awkwardly placed to the outside of ULYSSA BALE rounding the bend losing ground. Lost momentum when positioned to the outside of OPA'S MATE rounding the bend.
Race 6	Turbo Quaddie Starts Waikato Race 7 Dash - C2 - 295	SMASH OVER (8) was a late scratching after being found to be in season upon retrieval from its kennel. OHOKA LACEY (1) - slow early. Placed in restricted room entering the bend. GO GUNNA (2) - jostled with DYNA TREVOR inthe run to the bend. Shifted up the track rounding the bend rounding the bend placing DYNA TREVOR in some difficulty. DYNA TREVOR (3) - shifted up the track early stages having its hind quarters contacted by HOMEBUSH BODEN. Jostled with GO GUNNA in the bend. Placed in restricted room rounding the bend losing momentum. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to be lame in its left carpus. HOMEBUSH BODEN (4) - contacted from the outside by GOLDSTAR HALSEY on jumping. Placed in tight quarters early stages having to check off heels and lose ground. GOLDSTAR HALSEY (5) - began awkwardly colliding with HOMEBUSH BODEN. Squeezed for racing room early stages losing ground. SOZIN'S NOIR (6) - shifted down the track early stages colliding with DYNA TREVOR.
Race 7	Happy Birthday Johnny McInerney Stakes - C2 - 520	EDDIE HEMI (1) - awkwardly placed on heels entering the bend bumping with NEW NOTE and losing ground as a consequence. MY ROSIE (2) - squeezed for room early. Collided with GOLDSTAR YANKEE rounding the first bend. Jostled with this runner entering the back straight. COSMIC STU (3) - hampered first bend losing ground. GOLDSTAR YANKEE (6) - slow early. Collided with MY ROSIE rounding the first bend. Jostled with this runner entering the back straight. NEW NOTE (7) - slow early. Bumped up the track entering the first bend.
Race 8	Beach Cafe & Bar Dash - C5 - 295	GOLDEN BAY (3) - jostled with LITTLE KRAKATOA early stages losing ground. LITTLE KRAKATOA (4) - bumped with VERSAILLES early stages. Jostled with GOLDEN BAY shortly after losing ground. VERSAILLES (5) - squeezed for racing room early stages losing balance and ground. Awkwardly positioned on heels entering the bend having to check. HOMEBUSH BOOTS (6) - bumped with VERSAILLES early stages.
Race 9	Turbo Quaddie Starts Waikato Race 10 Distance - C2d - 645	GEM (2) - bumped briefly with GOLDSTAR SYDNEY entering the home straight on the first occasion. GOLDSTAR SYDNEY (3) - placed in restricted room first turn losing ground. Bumped briefly with GEM entering the home straight on the first occasion. Placed in tight quarters final bend. KIA TERE (4) - shouldered with ALOTTA TALK early stages. Inconvenienced final bend. GO BELLE (5) - squeezed for racing room early stages. ALOTTA TALK (6) - shouldered with KIA TERE early stages before becoming awkwardly positioned to the inside of MAX DANCER losing ground as a consequence. MIGHTY MUSCLE (8) - slow early.
Race 10	Christchurch Casino Stakes - C4/5 - 520	OPAWA DEAL (2) - placed on heels entering the first bend having to check. START THE SHOW (4) - began awkwardly settling back. KNOW DENYING (5) - came up slightly on jumping settling back. OPAWA MAY (6) - placed in tight quarters rounding the final bend losing momentum. RIVALRIES (7) - slow early.
Race 11	Active Electrical Christchurch Dash - C5 - 295	TREVILLE (2) - bumped down the track in the run to the bend. GOLDSTAR MAJOR (3) - contacted by HANKENSTEIN early stages. Placed in tight quarters entering the bend losing ground. HANKENSTEIN (4) - bumped with GOLDSTAR MAJOR early stages checking inwards and colliding with TREVILLE. Squeezed and lost ground entering the bend before becoming awkwardly placed on heels exiting the bend. PLATINUM PAISLEY (7) - awkwardly placed on heels rounding the bend losing momentum. HOMEBUSH FINN (8) - turned outwards when having heels clipped exiting the bend.
Race 12	RE-ENERGIZE Sprint - C4 - 295	HILTON FORABET (2) - placed in tight quarters and dragged down rounding the bend. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. CHITINA TIN (3) - slow early. WILDEBEEST (6) - jostled briefly with SOUFFLE SUE in the run to the bend. Awkwardly positioned between runners and had to check entering the bend losing ground. SOUFFLE SUE (7) - boxed first. Jostled briefly with WILDEBEEST in the run to the bend before becoming awkwardly placed and losing balance rounding the bend. PLATINUM MARSHAL (8) - faltered after jumping losing ground with the field. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have have torn its left gracilis muscle. Trainer A Roberts advised the greyhound would be retired from racing.
