Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: 1) During the initial Stewards inspection of the track there were some concerns with areas of the track. The Stewards, along with a delegation of trainers (N Udy, J Bell & P Clark), the Club President (B Marsh), club management (P Freeman) and track curator (M Beeson) inspected the areas of concern and remedial action was carried out on those areas. After carrying out remedial action the track was deemed safe to race on. The meeting was put back two races with the start time for race 1 being 12.56 pm.

2) Trainer N Udy has advised that EMPTY POCKETS will be retired from racing.

3) Trainer B Hunt was issued with an official warning when not presenting registration papers for his runners today.

4) Trainer B Goldsack advised that BLACKJACK MAN had been retired from racing.

5) YEE COO COO, race 14, (J McInerney) charged pursuant with Rule 55.1(b) in that it failed to pursue the lure and stood down for 28 days and to complete a satisfactory trial. Kennel representative S Stone had left the course prior to Stewards having the opportunity to show her the films, however S McInerney was contacted by phone and advised of the situation.

A post race veterinary examination was carried out which revealed mild pain left triceps. ALLEGRO LANIE (5) - began awkwardly, checking IDOL LUCY shortly after the start. Bumped WATCH MARJEN shortly after the start when attempting to move to the rail. MY EMMETT (6) - bumped shortly after the start. Bumped entering the bend. AHUROA WHIZZ (7) - bumped MY EMMETT shortly after the start. Bumped from behind nearing the home straight.
Race 2	Wanganui Chronicle C0 - C0 - 305	IDOL ANDY (2) - tightened entering the bend. IDOL MEGHAN (3) - bumped at the start. Tightened FIRECRACKER nearing the bend. Raced wide, momentarily, on the point of the bend. Raced wide through the home straight. GOLDSTAR MALONE (4) - bumped IDOL MEGHAN at the start. Tightened IDOL ANDY entering the bend.
