Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: 1). Remedial work was carried on the track prior to racing commencing due to concerns regarding the inconsistent nature of the track rounding the bend. As a consequence of this all reserve greyhound trials were required to be conducted following the meeting.~~

2). Stewards downgraded the track from Good to Dead with Raceday Control prior to Race 1 however this was not disseminated through the appropriate channels until Race 7. ~~

Race 1	www.southlandgreyhounds.co.nz - C2/3 - 390	OPAWA JUMPER (3) - tightened shortly after the start. BLAZING BANJO (4) - boxed first. Came down the track at the start placing pressure on OPAWA JUMPER. Continued down the track colliding with DYNA QUARK which in turn contacted MITCHAM TRUDY. REIGN OF FIRE (5) - boxed first. Hampered and forced up the track entering the bend. Contacted by inside runner rounding the bend and forced to race wider. GOLDSTAR LIBERTY (6) - boxed first. Awkwardly placed on heels and lost ground entering the first bend. EZRA BLUEBLOOD (7) - awkwardly placed on heels rounding the bend having to check outwards and collide with REIGN OF FIRE as a consequence. MITCHAM TRUDY (9/1) - contacted by outside runner shortly after the start. When questioned regarding the improved performance the connections advised that the bitch had benefited from a favourable draw and an uninterrupted run throughout.
Race 2	HAPPY BIRTHDAY AXEL - C1/2 - 457	SHIFT THE BLAME (1) - awkwardly placed to the inside of GALIFANAKIS entering the bend losing ground. GALIFIANAKIS (2) - placed in restricted room prior to the bend losing ground. Jostled with inside runner exiting the bend. NIPPA ENOUGH (3) - awkwardly placed to the outside of GALIFANAKIS racing into the bend losing ground. Awkwardly placed on the heels of LAKOTA TONKA rounding the bend losing ground. TRAJAN (4) - boxed first. Awkwardly placed on heels and unable to improve racing into the bend. Jostled with outside runner exiting the bend. LAKOTA TONKA (5) - hampered and lost momentum entering the bend. Checked from behind rounding the bend losing ground. MEKA (6) - contacted from the outside early stages. OPAWA FLASH (7) - contacted by OZZIE from the outside early stages bumping with the runner to its inside. OZZIE (8) - came down the track early stages bumping with OPAWA FLASH.
Race 3	CONGRATULATIONS JUST GOT LIT UP - C1/2 - 457	LAKOTA KOHANA (1) - shifted up the track early stage making contact with MAX DANCER. Placed in tight quarters entering the bend. DREAM RUNNER (2) - jostled with OPAWA AL early stages. Made contact with LAKOTA KOHANA entering the bend. OPAWA AL (3) - jostled with DREAM RUNNER early stages. MAX DANCER (4) - contacted by LAKOTA KOHANA early stages. COSMIC STU (5) - hampered entering the bend when racing to the outside LAKOTA KOHANA. JINJA SNEAK (6) - raced wide in the run to the bend.
Race 4	FIND US ON TWITTER@SGRCINFO - C1 - 457	HOMEBUSH MAXI (3) - squeezed for racing room prior to the bend buming with BARTHOLOMEW CUB and losing ground. BARTHOLOMEW CUB (4) - squeezed for racing room in the run to the bend before being slightly turned inwards. Checked outwards off heels rounding the bend. CHUNK (5) - placed pressure on inside runners prior to the bend.
Race 5	CONGRATULATIONS NAOMI AND GARY - C2 - 390	GO MUFASA (4) - contacted from the outside entering the bend. HOMEBUSH SAYER (5) - bumped with inside runner entering the bend losing ground.
Race 6	TOP CLASS RUN - C5 - 457	JINJA ELLIE (1) - jostled with GOLDSTAR TROOPER entering the bend. Checked and lost ground rounding the bend when colliding with DOUBLE SPEED. Referred tot he Veterinarian and cleared of injury. GOLDSTAR TROOPER (3) - jostled with JINJA ELLIE entering the bend losing ground before being awkwardly placed on the hind quarters of DOUBLE SPEED. DYNA ELWYN (6) - contacted DOUBLE SPEED on jumping. Shifted ground outwards off heels exiting the bend. DOUBLE SPEED (7) - contacted DYNA ELWYN on jumping. Checked from behind rounding the bend shifting up the track and colliding with JINJA ELLIE.
Race 7	PAUL CONNER MEMORIAL FINAL - C3f - 457	OPAWA SWEET (1) - placed in tight quarters entering the bend and had to check. Referred to the Veterinarian after falling in the run to the lure where it was administered anti-inflammatories for general lameness. OPAWA MAY (3) - squeezed for racing room in the run to the bend. GO VEGAS (4) - hampered briefly in the run to the bend when racing to the outside of OPAWA MAY. OPAWA ROY (6) - raced wide in the run to the bend and again through the run home. HAIDEE BALE (8) - slow early.
Race 8	HAPPY BIRTHDAY TRACEY CONNER - C4/5 - 390	BASHFUL BUFFY (2) - checked off heels entering the bend. PRINCELY GOLD (4) - checked from behind entering the bend losing ground. DYNA ELLIOT (6) - contacted from the outside on jumping by TEE AN' CEE. TEE AN' CEE (7) - began awkwardly shifting inwards and colliding with DYNA ELLIOT losing ground. Bumped with MITCHAM READO exiting the bend. MITCHAM READO (8) - bumped with TEE AN' CEE exiting the bend.
Race 9	GOOD LUCK IN MELBOURNE TONI - C2 - 390	PRETTY KEEN (2) - jostled with JINJA CREAM FIZZ entering the bend. JINJA CREAM FIZZ (3) - jostled with PRETTY KEEN entering the bend. COSMIC JASE (4) - lost momentum when awkwardly placed on the heels of PRETTY KEEN rounding the bend.
Race 10	ORETI BEACH RUN - C1 - 457	KHATIA (2) - squeezed for racing on jumping. MITCHAM DOUG (5) - bumped shoulders prior to the bend with GOLDSTAR WYNTER. Squeezed for room entering the bend becoming awkwardly placed on the heels of GOLDSTAR WYNTER. Checked from behind shortly afterwards by JINJA DYLAN. SOUFFLE SUE (6) - box first. Placed in tight quarters and lost momentum entering the bend. JINJA DYLAN (7) - checked outwards off heels on jumping. Climbed on the heels of MITCHAM DOUG rounding the bend losing momentum. GOLDSTAR WYNTER (8) - bumped shoulder with MITCHAM DOUG prior to the bend.
Race 11	ORETI BEACH RUN NO 2 - C1 - 457	NIKKO BAXTER (1) - contacted form the outside prior to the bend. Awkwardly placed on heels rounding the bend losing ground inconveniencing MITCHAM MANERING. HOMEBUSH VASSY (4) - jostled early stages before checking off heels losing ground. GOLDSTAR WILLA (5) - jostled with inside runner early stages. Contacted from the outside prior to the bend, making contact with inside greyhound losing its balance and ground. Bumped with HOMEBUSH YURI exiting the bend. PRINCE ROHIT (6) - contacted inside runner prior to the bend. MITCHAM MANERING (7) - bumped from the inside before checking off heels heels early stages. Climbed on the heels of NIKKO BAXTER rounding the bend losing ground. HOMEBUSH YURI (8) - placed in restricted room entering the bend. Bumped with GOLDSTAR WILLA exiting the bend.
Race 12	GREYHOUNDSASPETS.ORG.NZ - C0 - 390	SOUTHERN MAX (1) - bumped with outside runner entering the bend. OAKMONT (2) - shifted up the track early stages placing ERIC BLUEBLOOD in tight quarters. Jostled with COOL BEANS exiting the bend. ERIC BLUEBLOOD (3) - placed in tight quarters on jumping losing ground. Placed in restricted room entering the bend. HOMEBUSH GINA (4) - hampered from the outside on jumping. HOMEBUSH JENNIA (5) - shifted down the track abruptly on jumping hampering HOMEBUSH GINA. JINJA TONI (6) - placed in restricted room early stages before checking outwards off heels. SOZIN'S ASSASSIN (7) - came down the track on jumping placing ERIC BLUEBLOOD in tight quarters. Made contact with inside runner entering the bend losing ground. COOL BEANS (8) - jostled with OAKMONT exiting the bend.
Race 13	MARK TURNER PAINTER PH021737111 - C0 - 390	HOMEBUSH CAESAR (2) - forced down the track abruptly early stages. IMPRESSIVE HIGH (3) - hampered for racing room on jumping. Clipped the heels of OPAL HUNTER rounding the bend losing all momentum. HOMEBUSH LIZ (4) - came down the track abruptly on jumping hampering inside runners. Bumped with HOMEBUSH BRAVE prior to the finish. SEVE (5) - jostled with HOMEBUSH BRAVE early stages. CITIZEN ZAGREB (6) - josted with OPAL HUNTER prior to the bend. HOMEBUSH BRAVE (7) - jostled with SEVE early stages. Made contact with IMPRESSIVE HIGH entering the bend before being severely hampered by the falling OPAL HUNTER. Bumped with HOMEBUSH LIZ prior to the finish. OPAL HUNTER (8) - jostled with CITIZEN ZAGREB prior to the bend. Clipped from behind rounding the bend losing its balance and falling to the track. Referred to the Veterinarian where no injuries were reported.
Race 14	SOUTHLAND & OTAGO PHOTO FINISH - C1 - 390	YI FENG (1) - faltered in its gait when awkwardly placed to the outside of HOMEBUSH MONKEY. Bumped with PUNCH ON SCOOBY shortly after entering the home straight. HOMEBUSH GEORGE (2) - began awkwardly. PUNCH ON SCOOBY (4) - bumped with YI FENG shortly after entering the home straight. HOMEBUSH MONKEY (6) - squeezed for racing room early stages. Awkwardly placed to the inside of YI FENG rounding the bend.
Race 15	RACING AGAIN 12TH NOVEMBER - C1 - 390	SOZIN'S SYMPHONY (2) - checked and lost ground entering the bend before bumping with HOMEBUSH HUNDY. HOMEBUSH HUNDY (3) - squeezed between runners prior to the bend losing ground. Contacted from the inside entering the bend by SOZIN'S SYMPHONY. TAKE A HINT (5) - shifted up the track exiting the bend colliding with MITCHAM RYDER. MITCHAM RYDER (6) - slow early. Contacted from the inside by TAKE A HINT exiting the bend losing momentum.
