PUKEKOHE SMURF (3) - contact several occasions after the start and entering the first turn losing ground. GREY WAY (4) - contact after the start and entering the first turn. VIKING JOOP (7) - raced wide at the rear of the field losing contact with the field final straight. Veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
