Judicial report: SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT: Southland GRC 5th February 2019 - Race 10 - The J.C.A received a Review lodged by Mr. J T McInerney against a decision handed down by the Racing Integrity Unit Stewards in that, under the provisions of Greyhound Racing New Zealand's Rule 55.1.b, his greyhound HOMEBUSH HUNDY had failed to pursue the lure during the above said race.Subsequently, HOMEBUSH HUNDY was suspended for 28 days and ordered to undergo a satisfactory trial prior to being nominated for any further races. At the hearing held today at Forbury Park raceway the J.C.A, having viewed the replay vision and taking into account evidence tendered by Stewards and Mr McInerney, found that it was correct for the Stewards to form the opinion that the greyhound HOMEBUSH HUNDY had failed to pursue the lure and the review was dismissed.

JUDICIAL REPORT:

1) Trainer G Cleeve was issued with a Minor Infringement pursuant with Rule 44.8(b) in that he failed to have the registration papers for KNOW REFUSAL (race 11) available for the meeting.

2) LONELY BAXTER (race 1 #3) late scratching at kenneling on vet's advice.

3) DREAM RUNNER (race 5 #7) charged pursuant with Rule 55.1(b) however found to have a 21 day injury. Required to complete one satisfactory trial.

GOLDSTAR DIESEL (4) - bumped runner to its outside nearing the bend causing that runner to fall. Checked entering the bend by runner to its inside. A post race veterinary examination was carried out which revealed no injuries. BIGTIME KENDALL (5) - received bump on the point of the bend. A post race veterinary examination was carried out which revealed lameness in the right hind leg. MA CHERE (6) - slow away. EPIC BOOM (8) - received bump from runner to its inside nearing the bend and fell, regaining its feet and completing the race. A post race veterinary examination was carried out which revealed no injuries.
Race 2	Brocklebanks Dry Cleaners Sprint - C1 - 310	NIKKO BAXTER (1) - bumped from behind entering the first bend. MR BLACK MAGIC (2) - squeezed nearing the bend. M'LADY SADIE (4) - bumped runner to its outside shortly after the start. Inconvenienced entering the bend and forced wide through the bend. Raced wide throughout the home straight. KING KALI (5) - slow away. PUNCH ON JESSIE (6) - boxed first. Bumped runner entering the first bend. PRETTY KEEN (7) - bumped runner to its inside shortly after the start. Inconvenienced entering the bend and forced wide through the bend. DARLEK IAN (9/3) - boxed first. Ran in nearing the bend squeezing runner to its inside. Moved up the track entering the bend inconveniencing runners to its outside.
Race 3	Dave Robbie Photographer Sprint - C1 - 310	TARTAN WATCH (1) - squeezed runner to its outside nearing the bend. Checked off heels on the point of the bend. GOLDSTAR MONTANA (2) - very slow away. Raced wide through the back straight and into the bend. BLACK ROUNDER (3) - jostled with runner to its outside shortly after the start. Squeezed between runners nearing the bend losing ground as a result. Raced wide through the home straight. A post race veterinary examination was carried out which revealed no injuries. TRAJAN (4) - boxed first. Jostled with runner to its inside shortly after the start. Squeezed runner to its inside nearing the bend. PUKEKO RUSTLER (7) - bumped runner to its outside shortly after the start. SOUTHERN RANGER (8) - bumped runner to its inside shortly after the start.
Race 4	Forbury Maiden Stakes - C0 - 545	OPAWA QUEEN (5) - raced wide through the first bend. Raced wide throughout the back straight. Raced wide throughout the home straight. KNOW CHARISMA (6) - bumped by runner to its outside at the start. BLACK MAGS (7) - bumped runner to its inside at the start. Raced wide through the first bend.
Race 5	www.greyhoundsaspets.org.nz - C0 - 310	KOWLOON LIGHTS (1) - Bumped at the start. Bumped runner to its outside entering the home straight. Raced wide through the home straight. Bumped runner to its outside nearing the winning post. GOLDSTAR SHILOAH (4) - bumped runner to its inside entering the home straight. Raced wide through the home straight. Bumped runner to its inside nearing the winning post. DREAM RUNNER (7) - nearing the home straight turned its head towards runner to its inside without making muzzle contact. Pursuant with Rule 55.1(b) this runner was charged with Failing To Pursue the lure for the entirety of the Race, however a post race veterinary examination was carried out which revealed a sore left hip on extension requiring a 21 day stand down. This runner is required to complete one satisfactory trial. LUCKY SCAR (8) - raced wide through the first bend. MITCHAM MATT (9/3) - began awkwardly bumping runner to its inside. Squeezed entering the bend becoming momentarily unbalanced. A post race veterinary examination was carried out which revealed no injuries.
Race 6	Green Island Barber Sprint - C2 - 310	ANOTHER COLD ONE (2) - checked from behind entering the bend. TRICODE BOY (4) - jostled with runner to its inside through the back straight. HALF SILVER FERN (8) - raced wide through the home straight. JINJA CODY (9/1) - slow away. Jostled with runner to its outside through the back straight.
Race 7	NZ Racing Series Graduation (C2-C3) Heats - NZRSq - 545 Heat 1	SEFTON STAN (3) - squeezed runner to its outside at the winning post on the first occasion. Received a bump on the point of the first bend. Raced wide through the home straight. COSMIC STU (4) - checked off heels on the point of the first bend. BLACK DAN (5) - squeezed between runners at the winning post on the first occasion. Bumped runner to its inside on the point of the first bend. JOE BONANZA (6) - boxed first. Squeezed runner to its inside at the winning post on the first occasion. KNOW PUDDING (7) - raced wide through the back straight.

Raced wide throughout the home straight. SEFTON JAY (4) - bumped by runner to its inside entering the bend losing momentum. ELLAND ROAD (5) - bumped on the point of the bend. GOTCHA ZENA (9/8) - raced wide through the bend and throughout the home straight. Got caught in the lure at the conclusion of the race. A post race veterinary examination was carried out which revealed cuts to both front legs.
Race 10	Brian Bagley Driver Licensing Sprint - C3 - 310	LITTLE KRAKATOA (1) - jostled with runner to its outside throughout the back straight losing ground as a result. Checked off heels entering the bend. Raced wide through the bend. AVALANCH CITY (3) - bumped runner to its inside entering the bend. REIGN OF FIRE (4) - boxed first. Bumped runner to its inside entering the home straight. Raced wide through the home straight. GO GUNNA (6) - raced wide throughout. BOSTON POWERS (9/2) - jostled with runner to its inside throughout the back straight. Bumped runner to its outside entering the bend. Bumped runner to its outside entering the home straight.

Checked off heels entering the back straight becoming unbalanced and moving up the track and in turn forcing runners to its outside very wide through the back straight. Raced wide through the back straight. A post race veterinary examination was carried out which revealed no injuries. KNOW STATE (3) - bumped runner to its inside at the start. MING MING (2) - jostled with runner to its outside shortly after the start when attempting to move away from the rail. Raced wide through the home straight. Checked off heels entering the bend and fell, regaining his feet and completing the race. A post race veterinary examination was carried out which revealed no injuries. OPAWA WAIHEMO (4) - inconvenienced by the fallen runner entering the bend. MERTZ (5) - squeezed runner to its outside shortly after the start. Inconvenienced by fallen runner entering the bend.
