Track: Dead The track was dead initially but was upgraded to good following Race 8.

Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: MITCHAM MOODY in Race 8 was a late scratching with a toe laceration. BUDDY LOADED in Race 8 was up in weight by 1.6 kilograms and this was intentional. MINI MANSION was trialing prior to the races and received a laceration to the left hind with a 14 days stand down imposed. STAR MECHANIC in Race 14 was down in weight by 3.1 kilograms and after taking the dogs temperature, the Vet cleared the dog to race. BIGTIME PEARL in Race 9 was a late scratching due to pyrexia. BLAZIN' CARTER in Race 10 was observed to turn his head in towards the inside runner entering the home straight. However the available films did not conclusively confirm that marring had occurred and BLAZIN ' CARTER was referred to the Vet and the inspection revealed that the dog had suffered a right hip support injury with a 28 days stand down imposed and the dog is required to complete a satisfactory trial before next racing.

DINO THE FOX (2) - jostled from the start and lost momentum for a short distance. SAHARA PIPPA (3) - was crowded after the start and inconvenienced. Checked over heels into the bend and lost momentum. CLANSMAN DOUGLAS (9/4) - shifted in abruptly from the start and crowded and inconvenienced inside runners briefly.
Race 2	Greyhounds As Pets C1 - C1 - 375	TAKE ACTION (2) - shifted out on the turn and bumped with another runner. BIGTIME JOSHY (3) - checked over heels after the start and settled back and stayed there throughout. BIGTIME BOY (4) - bumped and unbalanced on home turn and lost momentum. THRILLING STAN (6) - began awkwardly and settled back but made up some ground for 5th place.
Race 3	Affordable Pet Accesories C1 - C1 - 375	BIGTIME CLEVER (5) - slow away from the start and settled at the rear. CAWBOURNE ZAYNE (7) - slow to begin and got back. Momentarily faltered on the bend losing several lengths but recovered quickly. Referred to the Vet and stood down for 10 days with a hock injury. VAN JACK (8) - slow to begin and settled back but ran on well to finish 2nd.
Race 4	Use Petraveller.com.au C1 - C1 - 375	JAX JEWEL (4) - slow to begin losing four lengths but made up some ground for 5th place. COOL WOLF (6) - raced wide on the bend and into the straight but kept up a strong run to win. HOMEBUSH CLINT (9/2) - began awkwardly and settled back and stayed there throughout. Referred to the Vet and stood down for 10 days with a quadricep injury.
Race 5	Ionlyflyfirstclass.com C1 - C1 - 410	AZANDEI (4) - tightened between runners after the start and lost momentum. crowded soon after and lost further ground. Finished several lengths last and was referred to the Vet and cleared of injury. SLAM IT (5) - shifted in after the start and crowded two inside runners which lost ground. TIDDY CASH (9/2) - crowded after the start and lost ground and stayed well back for the remainder.
Race 6	J P Print, Petone C2 - C2 - 375	BLUE PRECISION (2) - hampered from the start and lost momentum. JINJA RULES (3) - inconvenienced from the start and lost ground but recovered to finish 3rd. HOMEBUSH BELLE (4) - shifted in from the start and hampered two inside runners for a short distance. CRACKLE (7) - in contact into the bend and was unbalanced and stayed back to finish last. EYE KNO (8) - in contact and was unbalanced losing momentum and stayed well back.
Race 7	Red Snapper Seafoods, Christchurch C2 - C2 - 375	IDOL ALAN (2) - tightened between runners from the start and settled back but made up ground for 3rd. MAHALA BAY (4) - in contact on home turn and unbalanced but recovered to win the race. BROKEN WALLET (6) - bumped and unbalanced into the bend when racing at the rear. CAWBOURNE MOSS (7) - in contact on home turn and was briefly unbalanced. EL HEFE (9/5) - bumped and lost ground when racing at the rear and stayed back to finish last.
Race 8	Paul Claridge Electrical C2/C3 - C2/3 - 375	KIRKHAM COBY (5) - raced wide on the bend over extra ground. LITTLE SCAMP (8) - was the slowest to begin but made up ground to finish 3rd.
Race 9	Outback Trading Company C2/C3 - C2/3 - 375	CAWBOURNE AGAR (3) - slow away from the start and stayed back throughout. APRICITY (9/8) - slow to begin and settled back and stayed well back.
Race 10	City of Palmerston North Golden Chase 29th March, 2019 Stakes - C4/5 - 457	ARDEN EMGRAND (3) - shifted ground going to first turn and jostled with another runner. Was bumped entering the home straight and lost momentum. BIGTIME LEVI (7) - jostled going to first turn and was briefly unbalanced. BLAZIN' CARTER (8) - involved in jostling going to first turn and lost momentum. Shifted in entering home straight and turned his head and referred to the Vet and stood down for 28 days with a hip support injury.
Race 11	Brooks Timing C4 - C4 - 375	FANTASTIC TEDDY (3) - checked into the bend and lost ground. PLAN STAN (4) - checked into the bend and forced wide losing ground. BIGTIME STEVE (5) - galloped on and severely checked into bend losing all chance. Referred to Vet and stood down for 10 days with pectoral muscle pain. THREE AMIGOS (6) - checked into bend but recovered to finish 3rd. FARE DODGER (9/2) - checked into first turn and stayed back to finish in 2nd last place. BIGTIME BLACKIE (10/1) - checked and lost ground into the first turn .
Race 12	Kamada Park C4/C5 - C4/5 - 375	MIKACHU (1) - crowded after the start and lost momentum briefly. BIGTIME PETE (2) - crowded from the start and again into the bend and went back to the rear and finished last. BIGTIME BASHER (3) - shifted in abruptly from the start and crowded inside runners. Checked into first turn and went back to near the rear and stayed back. BIGTIME HUNTER (7) - slow to begin and stayed back throughout SMASH CHARGER (8) - slow away from the start and settled back but ran on to finish in 2nd place.
Race 13	Steve 'The Auctioneer' Davis C1 - C1 - 457	OPAWA HENRY (2) - slow to begin and lost two lengths. FLYING HUEY (5) - slow from the start and settled back and stayed there throughout. BLAZIN' SAVANNAH (7) - began well but drifted going into bend to be a clear last. Went back to the inside and finished well into 4th position.
Race 14	M & M Master Butchers C1/C2 - C1/2 - 457	DIAMOND GEEZER (7) - slow from the boxes and settled well back where he stayed throughout. STAR MECHANIC (10/8) - was one of the slowest to begin and after not racing for two months, he drifted to finish several lengths last.
Race 15	Total Bodyshop Supplies C2/C3 - C2/3 - 457	CAWBOURNE TAYLOR (3) - in contact after the start and lost three lengths and stayed well back throughout the remainder. CAWBOURNE ZULU (4) - in contact and lost momentum after the start and stayed back to finish last.
