Weather: FineTrack: Good Track was presented in a good racing condition being well maintained throughout. All other equipment operated well.

Health and Safety comment:
Judicial report: The payout for race one was held up for some time due to an issue with a dog # 6 being loaded away in the second row and the starter signalling the lure driver who started the lure as a handler was attempting to finish loading his runner the box was closed before the lure went past the trip to open the boxes.
Due to this the Stewards determined that the dog in box 7 OSTAPENKO after being slow away may have been denied a fair start and was de cleared a late scratching per rule ( 52.9 ) An inquiry was opened and adjourned in to this matter due to tight constraints of race day.
RED WIZARD #2 race 5 was stood down ( failing to pursue ) 1st offence 28 days and to the completion of a satisfactory trial.
BIGTIME WILLOW # 4 race 6 was stood down for 3 months ( second offence under rule 55.1 ) failing to pursue and to the completion of a satisfactory trial.

MISTER BOOZE was down 1.5 kgs today this was a planned decrease THRILLING TREV (1) - began awkwardly slow in to stride worked through the field and was hampered when running on to heels racing around the first bend. ZARA JINX (4) - slowest away forced widest around the first bend as runner to his inner checked outwards and raced widest there after. RACE ME HOME (5) - hampered in to the first bend for some strides as runner to her outer lay inwards BIGTIME BAXTER (6) - held up on heels for some strides racing in to the first bend . MISTER BOOZE (7) - climbed over heels racing around the first bend losing some ground. STORMIN' HOME (9/3) - clipped from behind when leading around the first bend gave ground nearing the far bend |

SEFTON BREW (3) - tightened and jostled soon after the start BIGTIME MARLEY (4) - dictated across from the start hampering runners to her inner for several strides. SEDGEBROOK SAINT (6) - slow away angled inwards across heels and became unbalanced for some strides in the run in to the bend ARM TURNER (9/5) - angled across from the start causing tightening and checks to several runners to his inner in the run to the bend. |

| Race 5 | WANGANUI TOYOTA C0 - C0 - 305 | RED WIZARD referred to the vet where no abnormalities were found Trainer shown replay and after hearing submissions the dog has been stood down ( failing to pursue ) 1st offence 28 days stand down and to the completion of a satisfactory trial. RED WIZARD (2) - ran outwards from the jump and turned his head outwards on a couple of occasions in the run to the bend was referred to the vet HOPCORN (3) - checked at the start and stumbled for a stride last in to the bend made good ground along the inner thereafter to finish in to 3rd placing at the line. BLUE WHIZZ (4) - forced outwards soon after the start for some strides LIBERTY BLUE (5) - hampered when jostled for some strides in the run to the bend and was unbalanced and lost momentum and ground racing in to the bend when coming back off heels. |

BIGTIME WILLOW referred to the vet and was found to have pain in the right hind quadriceps area a 7 day stand down was recommended.
The kennel rep for BIGTIME WILLOW was shown a replay of the race with the run to the line where the dog turned her head inwards for some strides after hearing submissions the dog has been stood down for 3 months ( 2nd offence ) and to the completion of a satisfactory trial. THRILLING STAN (3) - bumped twice in the run to the first bend losing ground back to last in the running BIGTIME WILLOW (4) - led out in to the first bend challenged for the lead racing to the far bend checked when clipped on the top bend angled out over heels to be widest on the home turn turned her head in towards runner to her inner for several strides and was referred to the vet OPAWA TAI (7) - slowest away angled across bumping in to runner to her inner twice in the run to the bend GO SHOW (8) - attempted to angle across racing to the far bend tangled with another runner and fell recovered to his paws but was caught on the home turn and was referred to the vet |

HOMEBUSH REIKO referred to the vet was found to have pain in right front deltoid muscle 7 right deep pectoral muscle a 7 day stand down was recommended. COOL WOLF (2) - handy early came back off heels losing momentum and ground racing in to the bend raced wide thereafter. DREAM ON DREAMER (3) - handy to the bend checked and lot momentum and ground. HOMEBUSH RIEKO (8) - handy to bend checked and lost momentum and ground finishing in the rear at the line was referred to the vet. |

ARTHUR'S CROWN (2) - soon after the start angled outwards hampering runners and as a result was jostled for some strides when going back in. SLY JOHN (4) - hampered soon after the start recovered well. HOMEBUSH KAZZY (5) - held up in behind runners racing to the bend made ground in latter stages. COLLECT A DREAM (6) - checked in to bend and ran wide becoming very unbalanced for some distance finishing in the rear at the line was referred to the vet. BIGTIME LOVIE (7) - angled across in to the bend jostling with runner to his inner for a few strides LIGHT CRUISER (8) - angled across from the jump handy to bend was then hampered between runners came back off heels losing momentum and ground. LEO'S SON (9/3) - checked soon after the start was jostled in to the bend and clipped from behind losing momentum and ground. |

KAYTEE GIBBS (4) - hampered for a couple of strides in to the bend when racing in tight quarters checked again soon after losing momentum and ground. SHAMROCK GREEN (5) - held up in to the bend when racing in tight quarters. SCOOBASI referred to the vet to be advised. CIARA (2) - severely tightened and checked in to the bend and fell recovered to her paws to finish on to the lure was referred to the vet. PRETTIEST EYES (3) - hampered and lost ground racing in to the bend. GO SLICK (4) - angled across sharply in to the bend causing severe tightening to runners to his inner and was almost dragged down losing all chance and was referred to the vet CAWBOURNE SYMSY (7) - checked from behind in to the bend SCOOBASI (8) - severely hampered racing in to the bend losing all chance and was referred to the vet |

This is a recurring injury for this dog and the connections have indicated they will not be persevering with this dog as a racing proposition in the future. KINETIC SHADOW (4) - slowest away settled back made some ground latter stages. CAWBOURNE JEFF (6) - away well in the initial stages dropped back to a clear last in the running in to the bend and was unable to improve there after and was referred to the vet NIAMH'S WAY (7) - hampered and lost momentum in to the bend was unanble to get back in to contention. VIKING ASH (9/8) - raced wide throughout. |
