Track: Good The track was well presented and the meeting proceeded smoothly.

Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: An inquiry was opened and adjourned into alleged misconduct by licence holders following the running of a Satisfactory Trial before the race meeting. This was due to one of the alleged persons leaving the race course soon after the incident. The Kennel representative from the J.T.McInerney kennel Ms Sammy Stone was questioned regarding the late scratching of GUNNAR BLUEBLOOD from Race 6 and why she had not notified the Stewards when weighing the dog that there was possibly a problem with the dog. Her explanation was noted. KATHLEE in Race 5 was observed to turn her head short of the finish line and was cleared of injury and stood down for 3 months under Rule 55.1 b for a 2nd offence after being stood down in Australia for a 1st offence 16 starts ago and is required to complete a satisfactory trial before next racing. FUNZALO completed a satisfactory trial is now able to continue with the race programme on completion of the stand down period. SOZIN'S FORTUNE was a late scratching from Race 3 due to a small cut under a pad.

Race 1	ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL C2 - C2 - 305	CAWBOURNE MOSS (1) - slow away from the start but made up ground to finish in 3rd place. OPEHU EXPRESS (3) - in contact on the bend and shifted out abruptly forcing other runners very wide. UNO ELEVEN (4) - checked and forced wide on the bend and stayed back to finish last. BIGTIME BEV (5) - forced wide on the bend over extra ground and finished in 2nd last place. TOKEN VIKKERS (7) - slow to begin and was then checked on the bend and lost further ground.
Race 2	WHANGANUI CHRONICLE C2 - C2 - 520	HE'S A SHARKIE (2) - checked going into the first turn and stayed wel back for the remainder. HOT MAYHEM (4) - checked into the first turn and stayed well back for the remainder. CAWBOURNE TAYLOR (6) - checked into the first bend and forced wide. CAWBOURNE RIDGE (7) - checked into the first turn and went back to last and stayed there for the remainder. BIGTIME MACI (8) - shifted in going into the first turn and caused a chain reaction of interference to other runners.
Race 3	J P PRINT PETONE C2 - C2 - 305	BIGTIME KYLIE (2) - checked after the start and got back. Awkwardly placed into the bend and stayed back to finish in last place. ZARA DAIKEN (7) - slow to begin and settled back but made up ground for 5th place. BIGTIME BOY (8) - slow away from the start and then raced wide on the bend but ran on for 4th place.
Race 4	AON CPF C2 - C2 - 520	MIJA SYDNEY (1) - drifted off the back of the field in the back straight and finish last. Was referred to the Vet and stood down for 10 days with tricep pain. BIGTIME HANNAH (2) - raced in the leading group but then drifted over the final stages too finish 6th. Was referred to the Vet and stood down for 14 days with hock pain. CAWBOURNE ZULU (3) - lost her position into the back straight and went back to last but ran on to finish 5th. CAWBOURNE FOXY (7) - brushed together with another runner from the start and settled well back but ran on well to finish 3rd. THREE OF HEARTS (8) - brushed with another runner from the start and got back and stayed there throughout.
Race 5	WANGANUI TOYOTA C5 - C5 - 305	KATHLEE (4) - was observed to turn its head short of the finish line and was referred to the Vet and cleared of injury. Was stood down for 3 months under Rule 55.1 b and is required to complete a satisfactory trial before next racing. CAWBOURNE LIZ (6) - shifted out slightly into the first turn and hampered another runner for a short distance. CAWBOURNE DORA (7) - inconvenienced into the bend and lost momentum and stayed back at the rear for the remainder. BIGTIME HUNTER (8) - raced wide over extra ground going into the bend.
Race 6	FIRST SECURITY C3 - C3 - 520	BIGTIME ROD (2) - in contact and briefly unbalanced into the home straight. COSSIE COOPER (4) - slow to begin and settled back. BIGTIME ACACIA (5) - slow to begin and got back. Checked into first turn and lost momentum. Made up ground well to win. SUB EIGHTEEN (6) - in contact and lost momentum briefly into the home straight. OPAWA DENISE (7) - checked into the back straight and went to the rear and finished in that position.
Race 7	LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C3 - C3 - 305	KING'S CALL (2) - in contact after the start and lost momentum. Went off stride on the bend and finished in last place and referred to the Vet. Has a gracilis muscle injury with a 14 day stand down. BIGTIME MINNIE (3) - in contact after the start and got back. Tightened between runners into the bend losing several lengths and all chance. RUNNING FREER (4) - jostled for some distance on the bend and lost momentum. ZARA ZARA (6) - in contact and jostled with another runner on the bend but recovered to finish in 3rd place CAWBOURNE JOHNO (8) - shifted in going into the first turn and bumped another runner which was checked.
Race 8	PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C3/4 - C3/4 - 520	ZIPPING COBRA (7) - was slow to begin and settled back. Checked off heels into the first turn and shifted a little wide and stayed back at the rear for the remainder.
Race 9	HATRICK DASH C3 - C3 - 305	AGENT ANNA (1) - in contact into the bend and lost momentum briefly but recovered to finish in 3rd place. SPOT ON HEARTY (3) - in contact into the bend and was unbalanced and lost ground and stayed back. BREED APART (6) - shifted out after the start and bumped another runner which lost ground. SCOTTA PIE (8) - bumped after the start and unbalanced and went back to the rear and finished last.
Race 10	THE ROCK 95.2FM C4/5 - C4/5 - 520	JINJA FLASH (1) - began awkwardly and settled at the rear. ASK KING JEFF (3) - raced very wide in the back straight and around the bend covering extra ground and finished well back. FARE DODGER (8) - raced wide in the back straight and around the bend and finished with the rear group.
Race 11	ADEPT ACCOUNTANTS C3/4 - C3/4 - 305	DARK SYRAH (2) - tightened going into the first turn and then shifted out to race wide on the bend and finished last. BIGTIME BLACKIE (3) - crowded into the first turn and checked and then raced wide into the bend over extra ground and finished 2nd last LUNCH SPECIAL (4) - shifted in going into the bend and tightened inside runners which were checked.
Race 12	BOOK YOUR FUNCTION @ HATRICK C3/4 - C3/4 - 305	BIGTIME LUCY (1) - was handy into first turn but was crowded and checked losing ground. SMASH CHARGER (2) - checked off heels into the bend and shifted out into contact with another runner. CELESTIAL ACTION (3) - slow to begin and settled back but ran home well to win the race. BIGTIME AUTUMN (4) - shifted in going into the bend and crowded an inside runner which was checked. TUNA SPEED (5) - was checked when another runner shifted wide into the bend and she never recovered. SCOOTER'S ROSE (7) - was slow from the start but made up ground well to finish 3rd HARD MERCH (9/6) - was badly hampered into the bend losing several lengths and stayed back for the remainder.
