Judicial report: A.Turnwald the Trainer of FANTASTIC FREDDY in Race 4 was fined $ 100-00 under Rule 45.11 when the dog was up in weight by 1.6 kilograms from its last start on 28.12.18. KIRKHAM WEBBY was up in weight by 1.5 kilograms in Race 8 and this was intentional. TOMMY THE JETT was up in weight by 1.6 kilograms in Race 8 and this was intentional. When questioned regarding the reversal of form of ALL BLACK STAR which had run last at his two previous starts before winning well today, Trainer E Duganzich could offer no tangible reason for the improvement.

BIONIC BOY (2) - checked from behind into the bend and went back several places but recovered well to go on and win. GOLDSTAR WILSON (4) - shifted out after the start and crowded outside runners. BIGTIME MARLEY (5) - crowded going to first turn and inconvenienced. BIGTIME ALFIE (6) - crowded going to first turn and lost momentum. Bumped on home turn and stayed back to finish last. OPAWA MARCIE (7) - slow to begin and was then checked on the bend and stayed back to finish 2nd last. BIGTIME BAXTER (8) - slow to begin but recovered to finish in 2nd place.
Race 2	Greyhounds As Pets C1 - C1 - 375	COOL WOLF (3) - checked on the bend losing ground but ran on to finish in 4th place. CAWBOURNE SANDY (4) - began awkwardly losing ground and stayed back throughout. JUDGE ME JACKIE (5) - checked losing several lengths on the bend and finished in last place. BLITZEM GEM (7) - hampered on the bend and lost momentum for a short distance. KIRKHAM WEBBY (8) - raced wide throughout but finished well for 2nd place.
Race 3	J P Print, Petone C2 - C2 - 375	CAWBOURNE MOSS (1) - crowded into the bend and inconvenienced briefly losing ground. BIGTIME PEARL (3) - galloped on rounding the bend and went back to last and finished in that position. BIGTIME IVO (4) - raced onto the heels of another runner and went back to near the rear and stayed there for the remainder. SOZIN'S FORTUNE (8) - slow away from the boxes and then raced wide and stayed well back throughout.
Race 4	Red Snapper Seafoods, Christchurch C3 - C3 - 375	KIRKHAM COBY (5) - in contact after the start and inconvenienced and settled back and stayed there to finish 6th. THREE AMIGOS (6) - bumped and inconvenienced after the start and stayed back to finish 7th. RETAIL MAYHEM (8) - slow to begin and was then forced wide into the bend and stayed back for the remainder.
Race 5	Paul Claridge Electrical C3/C4 - C3/4 - 375	BIGTIME PETE (2) - checked off heels in the home straight and lost momentum briefly. BIGTIME ONFIRE (4) - was obliged to ease to avoid heels approaching the home turn and lost momentum but then finished well for 3rd place. BIGTIME LUCY (5) - crowded from the outside after the start and got back and stayed there throughout the remainder. TAZIA (6) - crowded after the start and got back where she stayed for the remainder. BIGTIME BLACKIE (7) - shifted in after the start and crowded inside runners briefly.
Race 6	Brooks Timing C5 - C5 - 375	FARE DODGER (5) - heavily bumped on two occasions going to first turn and was unbalanced losing momentum. NO TIME TOULOUSE (6) - shifted in abruptly after the start and made contact with another runner on two occasions ZOIE WILLOW (7) - drifted to the rear into the bend and stayed back to finish several lengths last. Was referred to the Vet and found to have a tricep injury with a 14 day stand down. BIGTIME HUNTER (8) - slow to begin and settled back but made up ground for 4th place.
Race 7	Adrian Clark - Bloodstock Consultant C1 - C1 - 457	BIGTIME SAM (5) - slow away from the boxes. BIGTIME LIAM (9/8) - began to lose ground into the bend and finished several lengths last and was referred to the Vet and cleared of injury.
Race 8	Kamada Park C2 - C2 - 457	AZANDEI (2) - began awkwardly and settled back and stayed there throughout the race. THREE OF HEARTS (3) - checked going into the first bend and lost ground. TUFF KNIGHT (6) - checked and shifted wide into the bend and lost ground. MIJA SYDNEY (8) - forced wide over extra ground into the bend and stayed back to finish 7th.
Race 9	Outback Trading Company C2/C3 - C2/3 - 457	CAWBOURNE PALMER (4) - was slow away from the start and stayed back throughout to finish last. BIGTIME ACACIA (5) - slow to begin but improved during the running to finish in 4th place. QUEEN BIG LEAGUE (7) - was checked on the home turn when in 3rd place and lost momentum and drifted to finish 7th.
Race 10	Steve 'The Auctioneer' Davis C3/C4 - C3/4 - 457	MISTER EBBY (1) - was inconvenienced going to the first turn and lost momentum for a short distance. QUISTIS BALE (2) - shifted in and hampered another runner going to the first turn. BIGTIME KIOWA (8) - was slow away from the start and stayed back throughout to finish last.
Race 11	M & M Master Butchers C4 - C4 - 457	IT'S A THREAT (2) - Had the off fore foot caught in his muzzle and missed the start by several lengths but made up ground to finish 5th. Was checked by the Vet as a precaution and cleared. BIGTIME MIA (5) - in contact on the home turn and was unbalanced and went back to finish last. LUNCH SPECIAL (8) - was slow to begin and settled back. Cruised up wide outside the leaders on the home turn but was jostled and dropped back to finish 2nd last.
Race 12	Total Bodyshop Supplies C5 - C5 - 457	ZOU STAR (7) - Was slow to begin and stayed back throughout the race.
