Judicial report: SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT.

1). The J.C.A received a Review lodged by Mr. R Wales against a decision handed down by the Racing Integrity Unit Stewards at Christchurch GRC's Meeting on the 23rd November 2018. The Stewards determined, under the provisions of Greyhound Racing New Zealand's Rule 55.1.b, that his greyhound OUR SIMBA’ had failed to pursue the lure during Race 2, ThePower Farming Canterbury Stakes . Subsequently, 'OUR SIMBA' was suspended for 28 days and ordered to undergo a satisfactory trial prior to being nominated for any further races. At the hearing held on the 4th December 2018 at Addington raceway the J.C.A, having viewed the replay vision and taking into account evidence tendered by Stewards and Mr Wales, found that it was correct for the Stewards to form the opinion that the greyhound 'OUR SIMBA' had failed to pursue the lure and the review was dismissed.~~

2). OTAGO GRC - 8th November 2018 - A JCA hearing was held today at Addington Raceway to determine if the late scratching of greyhounds from the kennels of J Jopson, C Steele, A Bradshaw and A Lee at the above said meeting were without valid reason, as provided in GRNZ Rule 40.3. After hearing submissions from Stewards and the respective trainers the JCA reserved their decision.

JUDICIAL REPORT.

1). Handler S Chambers was fined $50.00 for failing to catch a greyhound from the McInerney kennel as arranged in Race 3.~~

2). All available films may be further reviewed in the coming days and any matter arising will be dealt with subject to Rule 11.1 (b).

JADED AFFAIR (8) - bumped with inside runner rounding the bend losing balance.
Race 2	A2C Asphalt 2 Concrete Ph 0800222583 Dash - C3 - 295	CULVIE JAY DEE (1) - jostled with outside runner prior to the bend before being placed in restricted room having to steady and lose ground. SMASH REWARD (2) - checked outwards off heels shortly after jumping. DUSKY BREW (3) - jostled with inside runner prior to the bend before being placed in tight quarters between runners having to steady as a consequence. FERAL KAIAKA (4) - checked outwards off heels shortly after jumping bumping with outside runner. HOMEBUSH MILES (6) - contacted from the inside early stages. Awkwardly placed behind runner rounding the bend losing momentum. COSMIC RICHIE (7) - bumped from the inside early stages. Obliged to shift off heels prior to entering the bend.
Race 3	Springston Hotel Stakes - C2 - 520	KNOW CONCLUSION (3) - squeezed for racing room on jumping. BUSY FLASH (4) - came inwards at the start placing inside runner at a disadvantage. Bumped from the outside entering the first bend. SMASH GATOR (5) - squeezed for racing room first bend before running up the track. HEAR THIS (6) - squeezed for racing room first bend. LITTLE SECRET (7) - backwardly placed to the outside of runners entering the first bend. BLACK DAN (8) - wide first bend.
Race 4	Glenbyre Tavern Sprint - C3 - 295	INSIDE AFFAIR (1) - shifted up the track rounding the bend inconveniencing outside runner. Shifted down the track exiting the bend again inconveniencing trailing runner. Bumped from inside entering the home straight into outside greyhound. IDOL GEORGIE (2) - shifted outwards entering the bend colliding with outside greyhound and losing momentum. MITCHAM FAYE (3) - began awkwardly. Contacted from the inside entering the bend. AUSSIE HOON (5) - placed in restricted room early stages having to shift ground outwards. Inconvenienced rounding the bend. Bumped outside runner entering the home straight. COLD AFFAIR (6) - awkwardly placed on heels rounding the bend losing momentum. Obliged to check off heels exiting the bend. Contacted inside runners hind quarters entering home straight. WE ROCKING (7) - awkwardly placed on heels rounding the bend having to check.
Race 5	Thursday Place Pick Sprint - C4 - 295	OPAWA WAIHEMO (3) - heavily bumped from the outside prior to the bend. ELODEA (6) - bumped down the track early stages. Checked outwards off heels exiting the bend. DISSIDENT (7) - forced down onto inside runner early stages. Contacted by outside runner prior to the bend. BLACK TORI (8) - force inside runner down the track early stages. Continued down the track and bumped with inside runner prior to the bend.
Race 6	Kaisa Earthworks Ph 0272073323 Dash - C4/5 - 295	NOZZNO FEAR (2) - jostled with outside greyhound in the run to the bend. Placed in restricted room rounding the bend and was obliged to check outwards off heels. HIGH DREAMER (3) - jostled with inside greyhound in the run to the bend. Squeezed for racing room rounding the bend. JINJA ELLIE (6) - bumped with inside greyhound exiting the bend. CASH A ROO (8) - bumped with outside greyhound exiting the bend.
Race 7	Christchurch Casino Stakes - C2/3 - 520	FROSTY BLAZE (1) - checked of heels rounding the first bend. UMBRIDGE BALE (3) - checked off heels in the run to the bend. Squeezed between runners shortly afterwards losing momentum. SMASH CALLING (7) - awkwardly placed between runners entering the first bend being dragged down and losing ground. Referred to the Veterinarian and found to have superficial grazing to both hind legs with a 7 day stand down imposed. PANEL BEATER (8) - checked when awkwardly placed to the outside of runners entering the first bend.
Race 8	Crate & Barrel Hotel Sprint - C4 - 295	SERGESS (1) - had to steady when placed in restricted room entering the bend. OHOKA ANGEL (2) - jostled with outside runner early stages. KNOW SWEAT (3) - jostled with inside runner early stages. ANOTHER BELLE (6) - lost momentum when placed in restricted room between runners entering the bend. COME A GUSTER (7) - came out of the boxes awkwardly losing any competitive chance it may of had. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury.
Race 9	Flair Bitches Feature - SPEC - 520	MING MING (1) - jostled with outside greyhound in the run to the first bend. Jostled with outside runner throughout the back straight. KIACATOO FEVER (5) - slightly contacted shortly after jumping. VIKTORIA VIKKERS (6) - began awkwardly brushing the hind quarters of inside runner. Jostled with inside runner throughout the back straight. AMY BALE (8) - wide first bend. MINA ALLEN (9/3) - jostled with inside greyhound in the run to the first bend.
Race 10	Steve Anngow Drapes & Blinds Ph0272719588 Dash - C4/5 - 295	FLOWER BOMB (2) - checked outwards off heels rounding the bend making contact with outside runner. As a result was turned and shifted up the track impeding outside greyhound. DIZZY BANJO (3) - checked and lost momentum rounding the bend. Again checked entering the home straight. CHITINA TIN (4) - checked rounding the bend losing momentum checking trailing runner. DETECTIVE DASH (5) - checked and lost ground rounding the bend. Contacted outside runner entering the home straight. ROCKET RACCOON (6) - jostled with inside greyhound rounding the bend and lost balance for a stride. Found to have a split webbing post race with a 14 day stand down imposed. SMASH WILD (7) - forced wide rounding the bend. BOTANY COLD (8) - jostled with outside greyhound rounding the bend.
Race 11	Active Electrical Christchurch Stakes - C4/5 - 520	AVENGER BALE (1) - awkwardly placed on heels entering the first bend. Bumped with outside runner when racing in the back straight. EGOMANIACAL (2) - checked inwards off heels in the run to the first bend. DAVID'S LEGACY (4) - contacted from behind entering the first bend. Weakened final bend. Referred to the Veterinarian with no abnormalities detected. Stewards will follow up the recovery of this greyhound in the coming days. BOOKIE MONSTER (5) - bumped with inside runner when racing down the back straight. Squeezed for racing room shortly afterwards losing ground. DYNA DAVE (6) - contacted outside runner entering the first bend. GOLDSTAR ASHTON (9/8) - contacted from the inside entering the first bend.
Race 12	Livamol Dash - C4 - 295	SPECIAL AFFAIR (3) - bumped with outside runner on jumping. Squeezed for racing room shortly afterwards. Contacted from the outside entering the bend losing its balance and ground. Jostled with outside runner for a period thereafter. MITCHAM READO (4) - bumped with inside runner on jumping. Squeezed for racing room shortly afterwards. Contacted inside runner entering the bend. EYREWELL TANGO (5) - squeezed for racing room shortly after jumping. Jostled with inside runner rounding the bend. SPARKLING TERRA (6) - came down the track in the run to the bend placing pressure on inside runners. TWIZEL STORM (8) - slow early.
