Track: Good The track was well presented and the meeting proceeded reasonably smoothly.
Scales: Checked and correct
Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: ARM TURNER was a late scratching from Race 1 due to an injury. CAPTAIN KATE was a late scratching from Race 7 due to a cut front foot. TIDDY CASH was down in weight by 1.8 kilograms and this will be referred to the JCA for adjudication under Rule 45.11 as this is a repeat offence. TIDDY CASH was a late scratching from Race 11 at the request of the Trainer and as the dog had been cleared to race by the Vet and was deemed to be a scratching without valid reason under Rule 40.7,a stand down of 28 days was imposed. Trainer J.McInerney is to be charged under Rule 40.3 with a non valid withdrawal. EIGHT OH THREE was a late scratching from Race 13 after escaping from the Handler and suffering bruising and grazing to a hind leg.

SLAM IT (2) - hampered after the start when forced off line. Crowded going into the bend and lost momentum. SLICK AS JEWELS (3) - hampered when forced off line after the start. Crowded going into the bend and lost momentum briefly. SKELDALE (4) - shifted out approaching the home straight and forced another runner very wide. AHUROA MAGIC (5) - Forced very wide into the home straight and stayed back to finish last.
Race 2	WHANGANUI CHRONICLE C0 - C0 - 305	WAY ANCHOR (3) - slow away from the start. Crowded into the bend and made contact with the rail and referred to the Vet and stood down for 14 days with a cut over a toe joint. CHEEKA (4) - slow to begin and got back in the early stages but made up some ground. SLY JOHN (5) - checked losing ground from the start but recovered quickly. SAHARA DREAM (6) - shifted in abruptly from the start causing a check. Crowded another runner into the bend. Ran wide into the bend and was then in contact losing several lengths and finished last.
Race 3	AON CPF C0 - C0 - 520	RACE ME HOME (3) - was the slowest away from the start. Shifted out into first turn and caused a check. Ran on well to finish 3rd. STORMIN' HOME (4) - shifted out from the start and crowded the runner to his outside. MAGIC MARIA (5) - crowded after the start. Stayed well back and finished last and referred to the Vet and stood down for 28 days with a gracilis muscle injury. BIONIC BOY (6) - checked going into the bend and lost ground and stayed well back.
Race 4	WANGANUI TOYOTA C0 - C0 - 305	YEE COO COO (2) - was slow to begin and settled back but did make up some ground. CASSIA (3) - slow away from the start and settled back. Checked over heels and ran wide into the home straight.
Race 5	J P PRINT PETONE C1 - C1 - 520	PIKO PIKO (2) - jostled early in the race and lost momentum. ZIPPING COBRA (4) - received an interrupted run to the first turn and was checked and fell. Finished the race and referred to the Vet and stood down for 5 days with toe joint and rump pain. CAWBOURNE FOXY (6) - Jostled after the start but recovered quickly. DYNA BART (9/5) - checked by the fallen runner into the first turn losing several lengths and stayed well back.
Race 6	ADEPT ACCOUNTANTS C1 - C1 - 305	BELLA JADE (1) - was bumped and then jostled going to the first turn and went back to last and stayed there. SOZIN'S TREASURE (4) - was inconvenienced after the start and got back. Jostled and lost momentum briefly into the first turn. BIGTIME LOVIE (6) - crowded and inconvenienced after the start but recovered to go on and win.
Race 7	LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C1 - C1 - 305	EMPTY POCKET (1) - slow to begin and settled back. GOTCHA PENNY (2) - began awkwardly and got back and stayed there throughout. HOMEBUSH RIEKO (3) - slow to begin and lost three lengths but made up ground for 3rd place. ROCKY'S TO MUCH (4) - jostled going into the bend and lost momentum. EPIC STYLE (9/5) - jostled going to first turn and was inconvenienced and lost ground and stayed well back.
Race 8	CHRISTMAS AT THE RACES HERE DECEMBER C1 - C1 - 520	BANSHEE REEL (6) - was crowded from outside going to the first turn and was eventually checked to the rear and stayed well back. CAWBOURNE SYMSY (7) - lay in for some distance going to the first turn and checked another runner.
Race 9	THE ROCK 95.2FM C1 - C1 - 305	MR. POSTMAN (1) - crowded going to the first turn and was shuffled back to the rear and stayed back. HOTDOG SHANNON (2) - tightened an inside runner into the bend. FLYING CANARY (4) - slow to begin. Shifted in and tightened an inside runner into the bend. Checked on the bend and went back to the rear and stayed there for the remainder.
Race 10	HATRICK DASH C1 - C1 - 305	MAGMA (3) - was the slowest to begin and settled back. Raced wide over extra ground on the bend and finished well back. BIGTIME MURPHY (4) - checked over heels on the home turn and finished in 2nd last place. SIMPLE REQUEST (5) - drifted on the bend and finished lengths last. Was referred to the Vet and stood down for 28 days with possible fractures to hind metatarsals.
Race 11	FIRST SECURITY C1 - 1 WIN - C1 - 520	KUSHKA (1) - crowded into first turn and settled at the rear and stayed back throughout. BIGTIME BRIDGET (7) - checked in early stages and got back. Forced wide into first bend and stayed well back for the remainder.
Race 12	BOOK YOUR FUNCTION @ HATRICK C1 FINAL - C1f - 305	MINI MANSION (2) - tightened from the outside into the bend and was shuffled back to last and stayed well back. UNO ELEVEN (3) - shifted in and crowded an inside runner into the bend. IDOL PATCHES (4) - tightened between runners from the start and got back. ZARA ZARA (5) - inconvenienced into the bend and went back to the rear and stayed back. IDOL JAN (6) - checked from behind into the bend and was unbalanced losing ground and stayed back.
Race 13	PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION CONSOLATION C1 - C1 - 305	PAT PATTERSON (4) - jostled going to the first turn and was inconvenienced and lost momentum. WATCH YOUR BACK (5) - checked from the start and settled back. Bumped and unbalanced into the bend and lost momentum. CAWBOURNE JEFF (7) - jostled with another runner going to first turn and went back to the rear and stayed there.
Race 14	LASER PLUMBING C0/1D - C1d - 645	ROSE AND CROWN (4) - checked from the start and settled back and stayed there throughout. ARDEN EMGRAND (5) - checked from the start but recovered quickly without losing ground and went on to win. IT'S A THREAT (7) - shifted in abruptly and checked itself and another runner from the start.
Race 15	MAX REFRIGERATION C1 - 1 WIN - C1 - 305	CAWBOURNE BEE (1) - slow to begin and settled back but made up ground to finish 4th. COLLECT A DREAM (7) - slow away from the boxes and was then checked going to first turn losing three lengths. Made up ground well for 5th place.
