Track: Good Following race 6 stewards were alerted by the starter to an issue with the track approximately 50 metres past the finishing post where some matting had become exposed quite wide on the track. The issue was rectified and monitored throughout the remainder of the meeting. Club management advised that they were intending to put more sand on the track in the coming days.
Scales: Correct at checked weights.
Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: 1) AWESOME ANNIE (race 8) was a late scratching at kenneling when found to be in season. ~~ 2) OPAWA MAGIC (race 2) was a late scratching at kenneling when found to be in season. ~~ 3) YI FENG (race 9) was stood down for 3 months (second offence) pursuant with Rule 55.1(b) and required to complete a satisfactory trial.

HOMEBUSH SECRET (5) - inconvenienced nearing the point of the bend from runner to its inside. Inconvenienced nearing the home straight. SHAW WINNER (6) - slow away. Checked off heels entering the bend, momentarily being forced over additional ground. GUILTY ROGUE (7) - checked from behind entering the bend. Ran in nearing the home straight inconveniencing a runner to its inside.
Race 2	SOUTHLAND & OTAGO PHOTO FINISH - C0 - 457	OPAWA JANE (2) - hampered at the point of the bend. ZARA FAB (7) - ran wide at the point of the bend checking runner to its outside losing ground. As a result of the check a post race veterinary examination was carried out which revealed no injuries. OPAWA QUEEN (8) - checked by runner to its inside at the point of the bend. KNOW LEGEND (9/3) - slow away. GEM (10/4) - ran in entering the bend checking off heels.
Race 3	HAPPY BIRTHDAY KRISTY - C2 - 457	DOUBLE SPEED (3) - bumped runner to its outside at the start. ZIPPING RIPLEY (4) - bumped from runner to its inside at the start. SEFTON STAN (5) - bumped runner to its outside shortly after the start. SMASH REBEL (6) - bumped from runner to its inside shortly after the start. KNOW EQUAL (8) - slow away and raced wide throughout.
Race 4	CONGRATULATIONS "THE DEVIL" - C4/5 - 390	BLACK TORI (1) - bumped runner to its outside entering the bend. LORD LOUIE (2) - squeezed runner to its outside when attempting to move away from the rail entering the bend becoming unbalanced. NOZZNO FEAR (6) - forced wide on the bend. OPAWA JUMPER (7) - squeezed runner to its inside entering the bend. SERGESS (8) - led for the majority of the race and appeared to lose stride nearing the finish with a post race veterinary examination revealing cramped gacilis muscles. BOTANY COLD (9/3) - squeezed between runners entering the bend becoming unbalanced and moving wider.
Race 5	MR WHIPPY SOUTHLAND - C3/4 - 457	BERTIE ALLEN (1) - checked off heels nearing the bend. HANKENSTEIN (2) - contacted by runner to its outside nearing the bend. GO ALL LIN (4) - checked on home turn by runner to its inside becoming unbalanced and moving wider on the track as a consequence. KETCHIKAN BLUE (5) - ran in nearing the bend contacting runner to its inside. Checked off heels on the home bend, in turn checking runner to its outside. KNOW HASSLE (6) - checked off heels entering the home straight when attempting to move away from the rail.
Race 6	[email protected] - C3 - 390	MICK THE MOWER (4) - jostled with inside runner before entering the bend. IT'S A JOKE (10/3) - jostled with inside runner before entering the bend.
Race 7	ORETI BEACH RUN - C1 - 457	SPRINGHEEL JACK (5) - slow away. Moved wider on the track nearing the home turn and stayed wide throughout the run home. GO GUNNA (6) - slow away and raced wide throughout. KOPUTAI (8) - raced wide throughout the back straight.
Race 8	www.southlandgreyhounds.co.nz - C1 - 457	BRUISER'S DAY (2) - moved inwards nearing the bend contacting runner to its inside and losing considerable ground. A post race veterinary examination revealed no injuries. KNOW REFUSAL (5) - moved out shortly after the start checking runner to its outside. Raced wide throughout. LONG LIVE LOVE (7) - checked shortly after the start. Contacted runner to its outside nearing the bend.
Race 9	ASCOT PARK CONSORTIUM - C1 - 390	PRETTY KEEN (4) - inconvenienced in the run to the line by runner to its inside. FORBURY FLYER (6) - ran out shortly after the start bumping runner to its outside. YI FENG (7) - moved outwards entering the home straight and turned its head towards a runner to its outside without making muzzle contact. Pursuant with Rule 55.1(b) this greyhound is stood down for 3 months (second offence) and required to complete a satisfactory trial. A post race veterinary examination revealed no injuries. Re-examined 29/11/18 at Addington and 28 day injury found.
Race 10	ADDED ENERGY DASH - C4 - 390	DEBBIE BAXTER (1) - slow away. LOCO LOLA (2) - contacted by runner to its outside nearing the bend losing momentum. Checked off heels entering the bend appearing to lose stride. A post race veterinary examination revealed no injuries. TEE AN' CEE (4) - squeezed between runners at the start. Ran in nearing the bend contacting runner to its inside. FLAMING SAMBUCA (6) - contacted runner to its inside nearing the bend. OHOKA ALEX (7) - slow away.
Race 11	TONI@BODYAUDITSOUTH PH 021657001 - C3 - 390	ZIPPING LANCE (4) - checked off heels on the point of the bend losing ground. TUBBY KEVIE (5) - ran out nearing the bend coming into contact with runner to its outside. MITCHAM FAYE (7) - ran in nearing the bend coming into contact with runner to its inside. Checked runner to its outside when attempting to move away from the rail entering the home straight and losing momentum. SMASH BOMBER (8) - checked entering the home straight.
Race 12	GREYHOUNDSASPETS.ORG.NZ - C2 - 390	NIPPAOFSAMBUCCA (1) - bumped by runner to its outside entering the bend. ASTRO TIPPLE (2) - jostled throughout the back straight with runner to its outside. HOMEBUSH SCORPIO (3) - jostled throughout the back straight with runner to its inside. LIGHTNING CRASH (5) - bumped runner to its inside entering the bend. SHIFT THE BLAME (7) - raced wide throughout the home straight.
Race 13	SOUTHERN LIGHTS AT STUD - C1 - 390	NORTON BAXTER (2) - bumped from runner to its outside shortly after the start. MAGIC TRACEY (3) - bumped runner to its inside shortly after the start. SLY BET (4) - raced wide throughout the home straight. JINJA CODY (5) - checked off heels shortly after the start when looking to move towards the rail. HOMEBUSH JASPER (7) - inconvenienced near the point of the bend when racing back in the field.

CHASING GREAT (4) - ran out at the start squeezing runners to its outside. HOMEBUSH MIKEY (5) - squeezed between runners at the start. Bumped runner to its inside shortly after the start when looking for the rail. Checked runner to its inside nearing the bend. NIPPA JOY (6) - squeezed between runners at the start. LONELY BAXTER (7) - ran in at the start squeezing runners to its inside.
Race 15	RACING AGAIN 11 DECEMBER - C1 - 390	HOMEBUSH CLINT (1) - checked heels of runner in front nearing the bend. SHOE FLY (2) - pushed off balance entering the bend. VALYRIAN STEEL (4) - dragged down by runner behind nearing the bend. DREAM HARD (6) - checked at the start. Raced wide throughout the home straight. HOMEBUSH CARL (8) - checked and fell entering the bend, regained his feet and completed the race. A post race veterinary examination was carried out which revealed no injuries.
