Track: Good The problems with the sprint boxes which occurred on Wednesday, continued today even allowing for the fact that the electrician had tested the electrical system since Wednesday and was satisfied that the problem had been resolved. After initially appearing to be working well, they again failed to open during trials and the Starter returned to hard operated starts for the entire program. The track was presented in good order and the meeting proceeded smoothly and concluded on time.

Race 1	ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL C2 Ht1 - C2q - 305 Heat 1	TYNECASTLE FLYER escaped from the Handler for a brief period prior to parading to the start and was examined by the Vet and cleared to race. MANLY MONKEY (3) - tightened between runners from the start and settled back and stayed there. BIGTIME BOY (7) - Raced wide throughout covering extra ground. KINETIC SHADOW (9/2) - slow to begin and settled back where she stayed throughout. In contact on home turn and lost momentum. SOZIN'S ANGEL (10/6) - in contact and lost momentum on the home turn and finished last.
Race 2	WHANGANUI CHRONICLE C2 Ht 2 - C2q - 305 Heat 2	BIGTIME HUNTER (1) - slow to begin and settled back but recovered to go on and win. ZARA DAIKEN (3) - slow away from the boxes and settled back. Checked going into the bend and stayed back to finish 6th. MAKING IT UP (4) - slow from the start and got back. Checked into the bend and stayed back to finish 7th. ANOTHER FLAG (6) - tightened between runners on the bend losing several lengths and stayed back for the remainder.
Race 3	FIRST SECURITY C2 Ht3 - C2q - 305 Heat 3	SET THE LIMIT (1) - shifted out into the bend and checked another runner on the outside. BILLY'S CHURN (2) - checked going into the bend and lost momentum but made up ground for 3rd place. BIGTIME HANNAH (3) - checked another runner into the bend and was then bumped and unbalanced into the bend and stayed back to finish last. SOZIN'S FORTUNE (4) - shifted ground from the start and tightened another runner briefly. DE BLONDE (5) - tightened between runners from the start and settled back. Bumped and forced wide in to the bend and stayed well back. FANTASTIC TEDDY (6) - shifted ground in from the start and tightened another runner. JERICHO WARRIOR (7) - crowded from the start and lost momentum. SLY CARL (8) - shifted ground from the start and inconvenienced another runner for a short distance.
Race 4	THE ROCK 95.2FM C3 FINAL - C3f - 520	DYNA VERNON (2) - bumped and forced wide into the bend. checked again soon after losing further ground and stayed well back. BIGTIME LIAM (3) - checked after the start and settled back where he stayed throughout and finished 2nd last. TUNA SPEED (6) - hampered and inconvenienced for a short distance into the first bend and lost ground CAWBOURNE RIDGE (8) - inconvenienced into the first bend and lost momentum briefly. BIGTIME KATE (10/5) - checked going into the first bend and went back to the rear and stayed there throughout the remainder.
Race 5	LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C5 - C5 - 305	SMASH CHARGER (6) - tightened between runners from the start and settled back and stayed there throughout. SCOOTER'S ROSE (7) - jostled and unbalanced from the start and settled back and stayed there. BIGTIME EVE (8) - checked on the bend and lost ground and never recovered.
Race 6	PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C2 - C2 - 520	LITTLE JUZZY (3) - tightened between runners from the start and settled at the rear and stayed well back throughout. ELECTRICAL STORM (4) - checked going into the final bend and went back to the rear and stayed there for the remainder.
Race 7	FIRST SECURITY C3 - C3 - 305	RUNNING FREER (1) - was the slowest to begin and settled back but made up ground well to finish in 3rd place. JUSTA GIFT (3) - was jostled and bumped on more than one occasion going into the bend and lost momentum. CAWBOURNE AGAR (6) - checked into the bend and inconvenienced for a short distance and stayed well back. GOTCHA MILLIE (7) - checked from behind into the bend and was inconvenienced for a short distance. NOT SHACKLEY (8) - checked going into the bend and ran a little wide.
Race 8	THE ROCK 95.23FM C2/3 - C2/3 - 520	IT'S A THREAT (2) - was awkwardly positioned into the first turn and was shuffled back to the rear but made up some ground to finish in 4th place. DIDDILEE (7) - was slow away from the boxes and settled at the rear and stayed well back throughout. BIGTIME TALKER (8) - raced wide into the back straight over extra ground.
Race 9	WANGANUI TOYOTA C4 - C4 - 305	BIGTIME ROLL (1) - slow away from the start and settled back but ran on to finish in 4th place. ALAMEIN STRYDA (2) - settled well back and stayed there throughout to finish last. CAWBOURNE MEZZA (3) - slow from the start and stayed well back throughout.
Race 10	CHRISTMAS AT THE RACES HERE DECEMBER C4 - C4 - 520	ALL ABOUT SPACE (4) - was crowded going to the first corner and went back to the rear and stayed well back throughout. CAWBOURNE PALMER (5) - was awkwardly placed going to the first corner and was shuffled back to the rear where he stayed throughout the race.
Race 11	J P PRINT PETONE C3 - C3 - 305	EYE KNO (1) - checked off heels into the bend and lost momentum briefly. CAWBOURNE CHEZZY (3) - in contact into the bend and unbalanced and was checked from behind soon after and stayed back to finish last. PODIUM PHOBIA (4) - bumped from the inside into the bend and was briefly unbalanced losing momentum. BIGTIME IVO (5) - was the slowest to begin and settled back. Checked going into the bend when racing onto the back of another runner and stayed back to finish 7th.
Race 12	BOOK YOUR FUNCTION @ HATRICK C3 - C3 - 305	THREE AMIGOS (2) - began very awkwardly losing several lengths but made up some ground to finish 5th. MAHALA BAY (5) - checked going into the bend and lost ground and stayed well back. OPAWA BEAR (7) - in contact into the bend and ran wide losing ground and stayed well back. BIGTIME KYLIE (8) - came into contact with another runner into the bend and they both ran wide and lost momentum.
