Track: Dead The lure made firm contact with the 645 trip arm during race 4 and stopped abruptly and this resulted in the race being abandoned. Repairs were quickly carried out and the meeting proceeded at the advertised times. The track was rain affected but was always safe for racing.

Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: Race 4 was abandoned after the lure had made firm contact with the trip arm at the 645 boxes and came to an abrupt stop. It was the Stewards decision that the Greyhounds had gone too far by the time they were caught and the race was duly abandoned. All starters were examined by the Vet and cleared of injury.

Race 1	ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL C0 - C0 - 305	AHUROA MAGIC (1) - slow away from the boxes and settled back. Checked into the first turn losing three lengths and stayed back. Referred to the Vet and found to have a deltoid muscle tear behind the shoulder joint with a 28 days stand down. BIGTIME ASHII (4) - hampered at the start and settled back where she stayed throughout. HOMEBUSH ASHER (5) - inconvenienced when the start was made and settled back and stayed there throughout to finish 6th.
Race 2	WANGANUI CHRONICLE C0 Ht1 - C0q - 520 Heat 1	MONSOON MALABAR (1) - very slow away from the boxes but recovered to make up ground quickly and finished in 4th place. HERE'S HEMI (2) - shared the lead in the back straight but tightened between runners and fell. Regained his feet to finish and was referred to the Vet and found to have triangle muscle and abdominal muscle pain with a 10 days stand down. IDOL LITTLE GIRL (3) - in contact on the first bend and lost momentum and stayed back to finish 7th. BIGTIME LEEROY (4) - shifted out from the start and hampered other runners for a short distance. OPAWA MARCIE (5) - hampered after the start and lost momentum briefly. LADY JELLYBEAN (6) - inconvenienced after the start but recovered to go on and finish in 2nd place. MAINLINE LIL (8) - in contact on the first bend and was slightly unbalanced losing momentum.
Race 3	AON CPF C0 HT2 - C0q - 520 Heat 2	JELLYBEAN JUNKIE (4) - settled back and then lost touch with the field in the back straight but made up ground to finish 7th. DIAMOND GEEZER (6) - the slowest to begin and settled back but made up ground for 4th place. ZARA JINX (7) - raced very wide in the back straight over extra ground but ran on quite well for 3rd place. TUFF TEMPTRESS (8) - midfield down the back straight but then drifted and finished 4 lengths last.
Race 4	PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C0 - C0 - 305	The race was called a No Race after the Lure was caught on the trip arm for the 645 boxes and stopped abruptly. The field pulled up soon after but then ran back and forth before being captured and the Stewards called a No Race as the field had gone too far. All dogs were returned to the kennels and examined by the Vet and cleared of any injuries.
Race 5	HATRICK STAKES C1 - C1 - 520	JUDGE ME JACKIE (4) - was hampered entering the final straight and she went back to the rear. CAWBOURNE MUZZA (6) - was hampered into the first bend and shifted out to race a little wide and stayed well back. IDOL JAN (9/8) - slow away from the boxes and settled back where she stayed throughout the race.
Race 6	J P PRINT PETONE C0 - C0 - 305	MANIMAL (3) - hampered into the bend and lost momentum and stayed back to finish near the rear. SUBWAY KAY (4) - tightened between runners into the bend and fell. Regained her feet and finished the race and was referred to the Vet and found to have quadricep and sartorius muscle pain and abrasions to both hind legs with a 7 days stand down. ROSE AND CROWN (5) - crowded from outside after the start and lost momentum and then raced wide on the bend but ran on for 2nd place. SEDGEBROOK SAINT (6) - slow away from the start and got back but made up ground for 4th. LEGER'S MAGIC (7) - shifted in and crowded another runner into the bend.
Race 7	THE ROCK 95.2FM C1 - C1 - 520	JINJA FLASH (1) - was slow to begin and settled back. In contact into the first bend and lost momentum and stayed back for the remainder. BIGTIME KAEA (2) - was in contact on the home turn and was briefly unbalanced. SUB EIGHTEEN (5) - in contact into first turn but recovered quickly and held his position. MIDNIGHT MOLLY (7) - bumped and lost ground into the first turn and stayed back at the rear for the remainder.
Race 8	HATRICK DASH C1 - C1 - 305	CAWBOURNE BEE (1) - shifted out going to the first turn and contributed to tightening. SMASH FIRE (2) - tightened into the first turn and shuffled back to last and stayed there for the remainder. HURRICANE AL (3) - shifted in and contributed to tightening and a check to another runner. BIGTIME WINNIE (5) - slow from the boxes and stayed well back throughout. CAWBOURNE JOHNO (8) - slow to begin and got well back and stayed there for the remainder.
Race 9	LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C1 - C1 - 520	SWIFT LIBERTY (3) - hampered into the first turn and stayed back for the remainder. THRILLING STAN (4) - got back from the start and stayed there throughout. BRAZIL CAMBARA (5) - settled back and stayed there and finished in 5th place. TUFF JEWEL (6) - hampered into the first turn and then raced a little wide and stayed back to finish last.
Race 10	FIRST SECURITY C1 - C1 - 305	HOMEBUSH DEMI (2) - in contact going to the first turn and lost momentum briefly. PODIUM PHOBIA (3) - slow to begin losing a length. Jostled going to the first turn and was inconvenienced briefly. LITTLE TORNADO (4) - raced wide on the bend over extra ground. BIGTIME DEAN (8) - clipped a heel on the home turn and fell but regained his feet and finished the race. Was referred to the Vet and stood down for 7 days with pain to the right hind sartorius muscle.
Race 11	WANGANUI TOYOTA C1 F - C1 - 305	ALAMEIN TIGER (2) - jostled into the first turn but recovered quickly to go on and finish 2nd. CAPTAIN KATE (4) - jostled and unbalanced into the first turn and went back and finished 2nd last. HE'S A SHARKIE (6) - slow from the boxes and then raced wide into the bend over extra ground. BLACKISH (7) - slow away from the start and raced wide into the bend and stayed back to finish last. ROCKY TOP (9/3) - jostled and unbalanced into the bend and lost momentum and stayed back. HARDAWAY CHIEF (10/5) - slow to begin but made up ground to finish 4th.
Race 12	ADEPT ACCOU7NTANTS C1 F - C1 - 520	KILLER FROST (2) - drifted going into the first turn and eventually finished several lengths last and appeared to tire over the final stages. It was her first start over more than a sprint distance BIGTIME NIBBLES (3) - in contact into the first turn and inconvenienced and he stayed back throughout the remainder to finish 7th. TIDDY CASH (7) - bumped and unbalanced into the first turn and lost ground but recovered to finish in 3rd place.
Race 13	LASER PLUMBING C1d - C1d - 645	VERTA BALE (2) - settled back from the start and went off stride soon after and took no further part in the race. Was referred to the Vet and stood down for 28 days with a torn gracilis muscle on right hind. CRISTIANE CYBORG (5) - hampered soon after the start and lost momentum briefly. BIGTIME CHLOE (7) - checked after the start and went back to the rear but made up ground well to finish in 3rd place. CAWBOURNE ZULU (8) - shifted in from soon after the start and crowded another runner which was checked.
Race 14	MAX REFRIGERATION C1 - C1 - 305	SPIRIT OF NATHAN (3) - involved in jostling going to first turn and lost momentum briefly. INDIGNANT (4) - jostled going to the first turn and lost ground and stayed well back. EPIC SPARK (5) - jostled and checked going to first turn and lost ground and stayed back to finish last. LUCHA (6) - awkwardly positioned in restricted room into the bend and shifted out abruptly on the bend losing momentum.
Race 15	BOOK YOUR FUNCTION @ HATRICK C2 - C2 - 305	STOLE ME CAR (2) - slow away from the boxes and stayed back throughout the race. SPOT WOODSTOCK (3) - slow to begin and settled back. Bumped and unbalanced on home turn. JERICHO WARRIOR (6) - slow from the start but made up ground to finish 3rd. SOZIN'S FORTUNE (9/8) - slow away from the start but recovered well and ran on to win the race.
