Judicial report: BIGTIME IVO ( G & S Fredrickson ) applied to have the endorsement cancelled ( rule 55.7 ) with the greyhound having completed over the required 10 clear runs as at the 8-8-2018.
SIR DUGGIE ( race 3 ) - escaped the handler during pre race parade - was caught soon after and underwent a vet check and was cleared to start.
The clip on the dogs collar came off - Stewards inspected the gear which is in good condition.
PIRATES CURSE race 9 ( rule 38.9 ) stood down to complete a satisfactory trial.

ALLEN MACK (3) - hampered and lost ground racing in to the bend on the first occasion -made ground strongly in the run to the line. CAWBOURNE BRANDY (7) - raced widest throughout. |
Race 2 | WANGANUI CHRONICLE C2 F - C2f - 305 | HOMEBUSH SHEA (1) - began awkwardly - tightened and checked losing momentum and ground racing in to the bend was unable to get in to contention thereafter. NAHARIS (2) - tightened and checked racing in to the end made good ground in the run to the line. NIPPA-A-SPOT (4) - forced across severely tightening runners on his inner racing in to the bend- checked off heels racing across the top bend. KIWI BAXTER (5) - contacted in the hindquarters pushed inwards and jostled for a few strides racing in to the bend. CAWBOURNE CRUZ (8) - angled inwards racing to the bend causing tightening and checks to several runners for some strides. |
Race 3 | ADEPT ACCOUNTANTS C4/5 - C4/5 - 305 | SIR DUGGIE escaped from the handler pre race parade and went a distance before being captured - was checked over by the vet and was cleared to start. LOVER (4) - moved outwards making contact with runner wider out- made contact with runner on the inner racing in to the bend then ran wide. ALLEGRO GUN (6) - bumped and was unbalanced for a few strides in the run in to the bend. |
Race 4 | J P PRINT PETONE C2 Ht1 - C2q - 520 Heat 1 | ZARA ZARA (1) - bumped and checked racing in to the far bend. CAWBOURNE RIDGE (5) - bumped and checked racing in to the far bend RUMORS (7) - fav- bumped soon after the start- bumped again when held up racing in to the bend on the first occasion -checked again and pushed wide soon after and struck trouble every time she attempted to improve running on when clear in to 5th placing at the line. ZARA ZOE (8) - checked in to the far bend when attempting to improve between runners losing momentum back towards the rear. |
Race 5 | LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C2 Ht2 - C2q - 520 Heat 2 | TAMMY'S FIRE (1) - came out off heels contacting hindquarters of runner ahead losing ground was unable to get in to contention there after. BIGTIME KATE (2) - fav- checked when contacted by outside runner racing in to the bend on the first occasion. THRILLING EDDIE (3) - began awkwardly for a stride or so BIGTIME FLYER (4) - moved outwards from the jump forcing runners FANTASTIC TEDDY (5) - checked and contacted from behind racing in to the bend on the first occasion. MISCHIEF VIKING (6) - slowest away RETAIL MAYHEM (8) - checked and forced widest in the run around the bend on the first occasion - made ground strongly to the line in the latter stages. |
Race 6 | AON CPF C2 Ht3 - C2q - 520 Heat 3 | BIGTIME SANDY (1) - led in to the bend on the first occasion - drifted out widest covering extra ground throughout the rest of the race. CAWBOURNE SYMSY (2) - slow away -caught a heels racing in to the bend on the first occasion. BIGTIME SERENA (6) - slow away |
Race 7 | FIRST SECURITY C2d - C2d - 645 | NITEHAWKE ROSE was found to have a right quadriceps muscle injury a 10 day stand down was recommended. CAWBOURNE PALMER (2) - bumped and jostled for a few strides soon after the start. NITEHAWK ROSE (3) - jostled between runners racing from the boxes -dropped back to the rear and was unable to improve thereafter referred to the vet OCEAN GAMBLER (4) - was bumped and jostled for a few strides soon after the start. |
Race 8 | THE ROCK 95.2FM C4/5 - C4/5 - 520 | SPARE SOME TIME referred to the vet clear of abnormalities. SPARE SOME TIME (1) - raced handy in to and around the bend on the first occasion- was checked and went back quickly to the rear racing in to the back straight was unable to improve thereafter was referred to the vet QUISTIS BALE (3) - hampered in the run in to the bend on the first occasion when attempting to improve - made ground along the inner to be handy on the home turn when clipped from behind losing momentum for a couple of strides MILLIE PRINCE (6) - angled in across the face of and checking runner on his inner racing in to the back straight. DJAY DYNAMIX (8) - fav- only fairly away forced to race widest in to and around the bend on the first occasion - improved through the field and clipped heels on the home turn when improving rapidly losing momentum and ground when balanced up finished strongly to the line |
Race 9 | Wanganui Stayers Final (Group 2) - C2df - 755 | PIRATES CURSE was referred to the vet and was found to have a right hip support muscle injury a 14 day stand down was initially recommended.
Trainer D Fahey later in the meeting requested a further vet assessment with the dog receiving further treatment with a 21 day stand down recommended
The Stewards have stood the dog down also for a satisfactory trial -due to an unsatisfactory performance.
PIRATE'S CURSE (8) - last away bumped racing in to the first bend -dropped back to the the rear by several lengths racing in to the home straight on the first occasion -ran on to the back of tiring runners nearing the home turn to finish in 6th placing at the line was referred to the vet |

FRISKY GAMBLER (5) - checked in to the bend when clipped from behind NIPPA EEL (7) - bumped and ran wide racing on to the top bend -angled in after the line making contact with the rail was referred to the vet.where a 10 day stand down was recommended |
Race 12 | BOOK YOUR FUNCTION @ HATRICK C4 - C4 - 305 | BIGTIME MINNIE (1) - attempted to angle outwards soon after the start making contact and being pushed back in by runners on her outer and being checked back to the rear as they raced in to the bend AL'S APPRENTICE (2) - crowded in to the bend losing ground- ALLEGRO LASS (3) - tightened and jostled for some strides in the run to the bend and ran wide losing ground. BIGTIME VICTORY (4) - bumped soon after the start BIGTIME CONRAD (5) - checked at the start angled out across heels racing widest to and down the home straight. MISSING ALLEGRO (6) - attempted to angle across from the jump jostled with runners on her inner for a couple of strides BENNY BURRITO (7) - hampered for some distance when unable to clear heels and being jostled and stumbled for a stride in the run in to the bend |
