Judicial report: Hair Tests and Urine swabs were carried out on all runners entered for the Amazing Chase. BIGTIME NARELLE was a late scratching from Race 8 when found to be In Season. L.Cole the Trainer of MILLIE PRINCE was fined $ 100-00 under Rule 45.11 when the dog was presented down in weight by 1.6 kilograms from the last start on 16.07.2018. Trainers Howe & Woods were fined $ 50-00 under Rule 44.8 (b) when failing to present the registration papers for MAHALA BAY in Race 12.

Race 1	ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL C3 - C3 - 305	CAWBOURNE OWEN (1) - began awkwardly losing ground and he settled back and never improved a lot and finished 6th. CAWBOURNE CHEZZY (5) - was bumped and unbalanced after the start and stayed well back throughout the race. KIRKHAM JASPER (6) - in contact after the start and lost momentum ans stayed well back for the remainder.
Race 2	Ray Huntley Memorial Final C1 - C1f - 520	MISCHIEF VIKING (1) - checked over heels into back straight and shifted out to race wide but recovered to finish in 3rd place. GO RING (3) - in contact from the start and settled back. checked off heels into final bend losing several lengths and all chance. ALL BLACK STAR (4) - in contact after the start and settled back where he stayed throughout the race. BIGTIME MACI (7) - hampered on first bend when avoiding heels. Checked into final bend when another runner came back on her line and she finished last.
Race 3	PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C1dF - C1d - 645	ALLEN MACK (2) - in contact on the final bend and lost ground and stayed back for the remainder CAWBOURNE TAYLOR (6) - checked losing ground into the first corner but recovered well to make up ground and win the race. GRAY BALE (8) - in contact on the final bend and lost momentum. CAWBOURNE ZAYNE (9/5) - slow from the boxes and settled back where he stayed throughout to finish last.
Race 4	ADEPT ACCOUNTANTS C3F - C3 - 520	BIGTIME TALKER (3) - raced wide into the back straight covering extra ground. BIGTIME SERENA (4) - began awkwardly losing ground and she settled back and stayed there throughout to finish 6th. DYNA BOOMER (8) - in contact into the final bend and went back to last and finished in that position. CAWBOURNE FOXY (9/6) - was tightened between runners after the start and settled back where she stayed throughout.
Race 5	WANGANUI TOYOTA C5F - C5 - 305	SIR DUGGIE (2) - Tightened after the start and lost ground. Tightened again into the bend and made contact with the rail losing several lengths. Referred to the Vet. BIGTIME BASHER (3) - dictated in going into the bend and lost ground and he stayed well back. TYSON'S QUEST (5) - shifted in into the bend and crowded inside runners which resulted in checks. FRISKY GAMBLER (10/1) - Crowded after the start and went back to the rear and stayed well back.
Race 6	WANGANUI CHRONICLE C2F - C2 - 520	OPAWA MINE (1) - checked going into the first turn losing several lengths and he stayed back for the remainder. THRILLING EDDIE (3) - was slow away from the boxes losing three lengths but made up ground well for 4th place. BIGTIME ACACIA (4) - checked going into the bend losing several lengths and she stayed back to finish last. ZARA ZARA (6) - hampered into the first corner but recovered quickly. CAWBOURNE SYMSY (8) - checked and unbalanced going into the first turn but recovered to go on and finish in 3rd place.
Race 7	The Formpro Amazing Chase 2018 - INV - 520	The race was run as four separate heats and they were uneventful apart from PINNY MAC losing his footing behind at the start and being classed as falling. PINNY MACK (3) - Lost his footing behind in his initial stride out of the boxes and lost several lengths and was classed as falling and was referred to the Vet.
Race 8	FIRST SECURITY C4 - C4 - 305	BIGTIME DANGER (1) - Was hampered going into the bend and lost momentum and stayed back to finish 6th. BIGTIME ROLL (9/6) - Was the slowest to begin and stayed back throughout to finish last.
Race 9	Visit Whanganui Amazing Chase Consolation Race - INV - 520	IDOL TOM (4) - Was the slowest to begin and settled back and stayed there throughout. WAITOHI (6) - Raced wide over extra ground in the back straight but kept up a strong run to finish 2nd.
Race 10	THE ROCK 95.2FM C4/5 - C4/5 - 520	MONSTER FISH (1) - crowded from the start and momentarily hampered. BIGTIME FOREST (3) - Dictated in after the start and lost momentum. BIGTIME LIAM (5) - shifted in from the start and crowded inside runners
Race 11	LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C3F - C3 - 305	OPAWA BEAR (5) - in contact from the start but recovered quickly BACON MY HEART (6) - bumped from the start and settled back. In contact into the bend and briefly unbalanced. BIGTIME CHRIS (8) - in contact into the bend and was forced a little wide.
Race 12	BOOK YOUR FUNCTION @ HATRICK C4F - C4 - 305	SO OVER IT (2) - crowded and lost ground after the start and stayed well back throughout. BIGTIME CONRAD (3) - checked after the start and lost momentum but recovered to finish 3rd MILLIE PRINCE (4) - tightened and checked after the start and lost ground and stayed back MAHALA BAY (5) - crowded after the start and settled back where she stayed throughout RAIN AND TEARS (6) - shifted in from the start and tightened several other runners which were checked.
