Weather: FineTrack: Good Track was presented in a very good racing condition being well maintained throughout the meeting. All other equipment operated well.
Scales: Correct at all weights.
Health and Safety comment:
Judicial report: Trainer R Adcock was fine $ 50-00 under the minor infringement rule ( 44.8b ) after failing to present the papers for Invincible Sue in race 7.
The Starter was spoken to after the running of race 10 after he put the no 9 box no on box 5 in stead of box 6 - the no 9 dog BIGTIME MICHELLE did start from the correct box of 6.
Train C Morris applied to the Stewards to remove the endorsement rule ( 55.7 ) on the papers of SPIRIT OF NATHAN with this dog having completed 10 clear runs.

Race 2 | WANGANUI CHRONICLE C2/3 - C2/3 - 305 | BLACKJACK MAN ( 2 ) - bumped and checked racing in to the bend - bumped with outside runner soon after entering the bend was unable to improve there after. DE BLONDE ( 3 ) - soon after the start tightened and jostled between runners checked out over heels losing ground to the rear -bumped racing around the bend when well back was unable to get back in to contention. CLOVER VICTORIA ( 4 ) - bumped and jostled between runners racing to the bend- hampered and held up for a few strides entering the bend when looking to improve entering the bend. OPAWA HARRY ( 5 ) - hampered for a couple of strides when bumping with runner on his inner racing in to the bend. |
Race 3 | LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C3 FINAL - C3f - 305 | KIRKHAM JASPER ( 5 ) - soon after the start bumped with runner on his outer for a stride or so was unable to get in to contention there after. ASTERIA ( 8 ) - bumped when racing in midfield around the bend failed to improve from there. MIKACHU ( 9/4 ) - bumped soon after the start . |
Race 4 | ADEPT ACCOUNTANTS C2 - C2 - 520 | PIKO PIKO CONNER ( 1 ) - checked from behind when leading in to the first bend MILLIE PRINCE ( 2 ) - fav dwelt slightly at the jump jostled and bumped for some distance then made contact with the rail entering the first bend losing more ground back past midfield -attempted to make ground along the back straight and around the bend could not finish off finishing towards the rear and was referred to the vet where no abnormalities were found. CHIP OFF BLOCK ( 4 ) - severely tightened and checked racing in to the first bend losing momentum and ground - recovered to finish in to 4th placing at the line. AUDACIUOS ASSASSIN ( 5 ) - in the run to the first bend was tightened and jostled catching heels between runners losing momentum -soon after was checked again back to the rear and finished several lengths last at the line and was referred to the vet where no abnormalities were found. THRILLING ROCKY ( 6 ) - angled across in to the body of the field and bumped runners on the inner racing in to the first bend. BIGTIME BUSTER ( 7 ) - checked and tightened racing in to the first bend losing momentum and several lengths. |
Race 5 | J P PRINT PETONE C4 - C4 - 305 | HOMEBUSH MINNIE ( 3 ) - hampered for a stride or racing in to the bend. BIGTIME CONRAD ( 4 ) - angled outwards soon after the start -raced widest around the bend bumped slightly on the home running extremely wide in to the home straight. BIGTIME BASHER ( 5 ) - bumped soon after the start. THREE AMIGOS ( 6 ) - bumped with inside runner soon after the start -hampered racing in to the bend for a couple of strides -attempted to angle out across heels on the home turn then changed ground inwards. |
Race 6 | NZ Futurity (Group 1) Heats 1 - R/Aq - 520 Heat 1 | BIGTIME WINDLE ( 2 ) - angled outwards soon after the start causing bumping and checks to runners in behind for a few strides. KIA TERE ( 3 ) - checked soon after the start losing momentum and some ground. BIGTIME CALEB ( 4 ) - checked soon after start angled in across heels for clear running. OPAWA TAB ( 5 ) - checked between runners soon after the start -angled outwards racing widest in to and around the first bend. EDGE OF TOWN ( 8 ) - forced to race wide in to and around the first bend and along the back straight -was able to angle down towards the rail in the run across the top bend. |
Race 7 | NZ Futurity (Group 1) Heats 2 - R/Aq - 520 Heat 2 | OPAWA ROOSTER ( 1 ) - went back racing around the first bend checked out widest over heels in the run to the back straight. INVINCIBLE SUE ( 2 ) raced back -attempted to improve racing across the top bend was held up for a couple of strides was unable to improve from there. DYNA DAVE ( 4 ) - bumped entering the first bend. BIGTIME BUCKO ( 7 ) - checked in to the far bend when racing between runners. BIGTIME FRED ( 8 ) - caught out wide and checked racing around the first bend. |
Race 8 | NZ Futurity (Group 1) Heats 3 - R/A - 520 | BIGTIME PHANTOM ( 1 ) - tightened and eased in to the first bend went back to a clear last in the running failed to improve there after was referred to the vet and was found to have pain in the right carpus a 21 day stand down was recommend and a satisfactory trial is required to be completed. ASK KING JEFF ( 2 ) - ran in to runner on his outer at the start -checked out and over heels racing in to the first bend losing ground - made good ground wide out around the top bend finished on in the run to the line. SHALLY PALLY ( 3 ) - bumped at the start - jostled for a couple of strides going sideways for a stride or so with runner on his inner on the home turn. BIGTIME EVE ( 4 ) - hampered and jostled for a couple of strides with runner on her outer on the home turn and hampered again in the run to the line TYSON'S QUEST ( 6 ) - held up nearing the home turn for some strides and was unable to find a gap until the latter stages of the run to the line. |
Race 9 | NZ Futurity (Group 1) Heats 4 - R/A - 520 | ME JANE ( 1 ) - led out -vied for the lead to the far bend -weakened in the run to the line. LORD LOUIE ( 4 ) - angled outwards soon after the start causing bumping and checks to runners on his outer. BIGTIME LEVI ( 5 ) - fav dictated out wide soon after the start -settled midfield attempted to make ground widest around the field effort told in the run home. EGOMANIACAL ( 6 ) - tightened and forced back off heels soon after the start settled back made good ground there after. IDOL TOM ( 7 ) - bumped and checked soon after the start and was further hampered for some strides in the run to the first bend. |
Race 10 | AON CPF C 2/3 - C2/3 - 520 | AMY BALE ( 3 ) - checked soon after the start losing momentum settled back and was unable to improve thereafter. BIGTIME MONTY ( 4 ) dictated across soon after the start resulting in going back catching heels - hampered for some strides when running on to heels in the run around the first bend. - BIGTIME ONFIRE ( 5 ) - angled across from the jump causing checks to a couple of runners on his inner. JINJA LOREN ( 7 ) - angled across soon after the start bumping in to runner on her inner and becoming unbalanced for a couple of strides BIGTIME MICHELLE ( 9/6 ) - bumped soon after the start settled back. |
Race 11 | PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C4/5 - C4/5 - 305 | LUNCH SPECIAL ( 1 ) - began awkwardly and was last away by several lengths -he made good ground along the inner around the bend where he abruptly checked out wide over heels on the home checking runner on his outer. BIGTIME PINK ( 7 ) - attempting to improve wide out when severely checked on the home turn losing momentum and ground. |

OPAWA LYON ( 8 ) - missed the jump by 5 or so lengths- improved along the inner around the bend finishing in midfield. BIGTIME BEV ( 10/6 ) - raced handy wide out to the home turn where she became awkwardly balanced on the home turn running wide losing ground. |
