Track: Good . Following on from the abandonment of the race meeting at Ascot Park on 13th March the NZGRA arranged for a consultant electrician to visit and work with the club on rectifying issues with the lure and power supply in the back straight. The club electrician has installed an additional power cable to the back straight and is converting the power feed from AC to DC to boost power. An additional problem has been identified with wet sand on the rail and brushes and this would require further attention for future meetings. Extensive testing has been carried out with acceptable timing of the lure from the 390m to the finish line which was the problem area at the abandoned meeting.

Judicial report: (1) PAT ALLIE (R.Wales) was suspended for 28 days under Rule 55.1a for marring in race 1 and is required to complete a Satisfactory Trial before resuming racing. (2) LUCKY BLAIR (R.Wales) was suspended for 28 days under Rule 55.1b for failing to pursue in race 1 and is required to complete a Satisfactory Trial before resuming racing.

Race 1	www.southlandgreyhounds.co.nz - C0 - 457	FORBURY FLYER (JT McInerney) raced without blinkers which have been removed in accordance with Rule 44.17. There was no film coverage available to Stewards on course for this Race initially. LUCKY BLAIR (3), TARTAN WATCH (5) and PAT ALLIE (7) were all subject to post race veterinary checks. After the race Stewards reviewed coverage made available by Trackside. GO BRAT (1) - checked into the straight and lost ground. LUCKY BLAIR (3) - visibly eased up into the turn, then turned head outwards towards greyhound on outside. Ran outwards into the straight checking the trailing runner which fell. A post race veterinary check revealed no injury. Stewards suspended LUCKY BLAIR for 28 days under Rule 55.1b for failing to pursue and is required to complete a Satisfactory Trial before resuming. TARTAN WATCH (5) - ran outwards into the straight severely checking runners to outside. A post race veterinary check revealed no injury. PAT ALLIE (7) - eased into the turn and then turned her head and marred the running of another greyhound before then being checked into the straight and falling. Stewards suspended PAT ALLIE for 28 days under Rule 55.1a for marring the running of another greyhound and is required to complete a Satisfactory Trial before resuming. Having fallen PAT ALLIE was subject to a post race veterinary check which revealed no injury,
Race 2	HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAWN MCLEOD - C3/4 - 390	KNOW RESPECT (1) - bumped and lost momentum on turn. EXPRESS GUNN (2) - checked into the turn, then bumped on turn losing momentum. ABRASADOR (3) - shifted inwards into the turn checking tariling runner. SOZIN'S BLUE (4) - slow to jump losing ground early.
Race 3	ADDED ENERGY DASH - C3 - 390	COCO BANGO (6) - slow to jump losing ground early. ZUGZWANG (7) - ran wide in straight.
Race 4	MR WHIPPY SOUTHLAND - C5 - 390	HOMEBUSH RUFUS (1) - ran outwards from jump checking runner to outside. WHEELCHAIR NORM (4) - tightened on turn losing momentum. MACEY BAXTER (5) - checked shortly after the jump. HOMEBUSH MILES (7) - slow to jump and lost ground. Checked off heels on turn losing ground.
Race 5	NZ Racing Series Advanced Final - NZRSf - 457	THINK TANK (JT McInerney) was a late scratching when found to have a spike wound when taken from the kennels prior to racing. HOMEBUSH BANKER (3) - ran outwards from the jump checking runner to outside. TOM TEE (5) - checked from the jump. KNOW HASSLE (6) - slow to jump. SARCASM (8) - slow to jump.
Race 6	SOUTHLAND & OTAGO PHOTO FINISH - C3/4 - 457	MUST BE RUSTY (4) - shifted outwards at the jump checking runner to outside. PRINCELY GOLD (6) - checked from the jump and tightened into the turn. REGALYN (7) - shifted outwards into turn tightening runner to outside.
Race 7	HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRAHAM TAPIKI - C1 - 457	KNOW DOLLARS (1) - shifted outwards on turn checking runner to outside. DYNA VERNON (5) - checked on turn. ZIPPING RIPLEY (6) - tightened between runners from the jump losing momentum and checked in run to the turn. TOKEN VIKKERS (7) - shifted inwards in run to the turn checking runner to inside.
Race 8	FAREWELL LIAM TIDMARSH - C1/2 - 457	DARLEK IAN (5) - shifted inwards at the jump checking runner to inside. JITTERBUG JEWEL (7) - clipped heels into straight becoming unbalanced and losing ground. DAVE'S PICK (10/4) - checked at the jump.
Race 9	www.bodyaudit.co.nz - C1 - 390	ZIP ZAP ZOE (5) - dictated inwards at the jump. BROKEN PENNILESS (6) - tightened at the jump losing momentum. KOPUTAI (7) - ran wide in straight. SENORITA JULIE (8) - ran inwards from the jump checking runner to inside.
Race 10	[email protected] ph 021657001 - C1 - 390	JOEY BAXTER (4) - checked into turn and bumped another runner losing ground. BIGTIME KENDALL (5) - shifted inwards into turn checking runners to inside. LIGHTNING CRASH (6) - checked at the jump MOUNGA (7) - shifted inwards at the jump checking runner to inside, checked behind runners into the turn. SACRED OPERA (10/3) - checked into turn, bumping another runner and losing ground.
Race 11	FAREWELL CHRIS BOYD - C1/2 - 390	HOMEBUSH SLOAN (2) - checked when crowded between runners entering the bend. HOMEBUSH HAZEL (4) - slow to begin. SOZIN'S ROAR (7) - slow to begin. Jostled with STORMY SUNDAY in the early stages. STORMY SUNDAY (8) - slow to begin. Jostled with SOZIN'S ROAR in the early stages.
Race 12	RACING AGAIN 10TH APRIL - C1/2 - 390	STAR BUCKING (2) - bumped in run to the turn becoming unbalanced and losing ground. SOZIN'S EMPEROR (3) - shifted inwards in run to the turn bumping runner to inside and then falling, checking trailing runners and taking no competitive part in the race. A post race veterinary check revealed no injury. OSKITZ (4) - checked in run to the turn and again into turn by falling runner. . STORMING MACK (5) - shifted inwards in run to the turn checking trailing runner. HOMEBUSH SCRIBE (6) - shifted outwards at the jumpchecking runner to outside. UNVERIFIED (7) - checked at the jump losing ground and again into turn by falling runner.
