Track: Good The track was presented in good order and the meeting proceeded smoothly.

Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: TORPEDO TUCK was qualified to start in race 8 but was withdrawn before the draw with a shoulder injury and stood down for 28 days to and including 29.01.2018. YOKO RAMA was also qualified to start in the same race but is now deceased and the Trainer will take the necessary steps to update the NZGRA on the circumstances of the death. LITTLE SCAMP won race 13 and was nominated for a swab but the instruction was not passed to the Trainer by the Security Guard and as a result, the bitch was released as it was considered by the Stewards to be a breach of the normal security arrangements.

LUCHA (3) - Shifted out over heels on the bend and checked another runner. BOSTON POWERS (4) - Shifted out on home turn and was in contact but recovered to finish 2nd. SMILING SID (5) - Forced wide into the bend over extra ground. BIGTIME KAEA (7) - Hampered and forced wide into the bend and stayed back. CAWBOURNE ROB (8) - Checked and lost ground on the bend and stayed back.
Race 2	J P Print, Petone C1 - C1 - 375	The start was delayed by 2 minutes due to a broken muzzle having to be replaced. HOMEBUSH FREDA (5) - Checked off heels on the bend and lost momentum and stayed back for the remainder. FORKNER BALE (8) - Was slow to begin losing two lengths.
Race 3	Greyhounds As Pets C2 - C2 - 375	OPAWA BUCKS (5) - Was checked going into the bend losing three lengths and stayed back to finish in 7th place.
Race 4	Affordable Pet Accessories C2/3 - C2/3 - 375	CAWBOURNE STEELE (2) - Was checked and fell going into the bend when unable to avoid a fallen runner. Regained her feet and finished the race and was referred to the Vet and found to have hip bruising. BIGTIME NARELLE (6) - Was checked and fell on the bend but regained her feet and finished the race. Was referred to the Vet and cleared of injury. BIGTIME RANSON (7) - Was badly hampered by a fallen runner losing several lengths and all chance.
Race 5	Use Petraveller.com.au C4/5 - C4/5 - 375	BEAR INDA SQUARE (5) - Checked on the bend and went back onto another runner and stayed back to finish in last place. BIGTIME SUGAR (9/3) - Checked on the bend by a runner dropping back and he stayed well back for the remainder.
Race 6	TAB Supports Greyhounds C2/3 - C2/3 - 375	BIGTIME TAYLOR (1) - Was crowded from the outside going to the first turn and was shuffled back to the rear and stayed well back. KIRKHAM JASPER (5) - Was also crowded going to the first turn and he went back to the rear and stayed there.
Race 7	Ionlyflyfirstclass.com C0 - C0 - 457	TRENDY VAL (1) - Hampered in the early stages and settled back where she stayed throughout. BIGTIME ON TRACK (9/4) - Inconvenienced early in the race and settled back and stayed there for the remainder.
Race 8	TAB Fixed Odds C0 Final - C0f - 457	BIGTIME KYLIE (3) - Was handy enough on the bend but then received an interrupted run and went back through the field and finished in 7th place.
Race 9	Outback Trading Company C1 - C1 - 457	The race was all clear.
Race 10	Steve 'The Auctioneer' Davis C1/2 - C1/2 - 457	BIGTIME WELLDONE (7) - Was bumped and forced out over extra ground going into the bend and stayed back to finish last. BIGTIME BRUCIE (8) - Checked out over heels going into the bend and lost momentum and stayed well back for the remainder.
Race 11	Adrian Clark - Bloodstock Consultant C3 - C3 - 457	BIGTIME REDO (8) - Was the slowest to begin and stayed well back throughout.
Race 12	M&M Master Butchers C4/5 - C4/5 - 457	BIGTIME MIA (1) - Began very awkwardly losing several lengths and all chance. HE CAN YODEL (3) - Was awkwardly positioned between runners going to the first turn and was checked losing momentum and stayed well back. BIGTIME LEVI (5) - Also began awkwardly losing ground but recovered to make up ground well and win the race.
Race 13	Brooks Timing C1 - C1 - 375	SASHA MCBELL (2) - Crowded from the outside at the start and settled back where he stayed throughout. HOMEBUSH MANU (3) - Crowded when the start was made and settled back and stayed there. BACON MY HEART (4) - Crowded from the outside and got back from the start and never recovered. WHITE COMET (5) - Shifted in abruptly from the start and caused crowding and checks to several runners.
Race 14	Paul Claridge Electrical C1 - C1 - 375	TIGER UPPERCUT (2) - Checked on the bend and lost ground and stayed back. CAWBOURNE JOHNO (4) - Checked on the bend and stayed back to finish in the rear group.
Race 15	Personal Protective Services C1 - C1 - 375	THRILLING STAN (9/6) - Raced wide throughout covering extra ground and finished in 5th place.
