Judicial report: 1) GRANNY MAGNET (J Dunn), which was stood down on 3 November for failing to pursue the lure, was represented to Veterinarian Lesley Roberts on 6 November and found to have a serious injury. In consequence the stand down was rescinded as per Rule 55.5 with the dog having to complete a Satisfactory Trial before resuming. 2) A postmortem completed on OPAWA SHORT, which died at the completion of Race 12 on 2 November, revealed that the most probable cause of death was a brain injury after falling to the track at the lure. 3) CROTTY (A Bradshaw) was withdrawn prior to the box draw for the NZ Cup Semi Finals due to a torn webbing with a veterinary certificate supplied. 4) OPPIE BALE (C Roberts) was a late scratching from Race 5 on retrieval from the kennels when found to be in season.

Race 2	Christchurch Casino NZ Greyhound Cup Semi 2 - C5q - 520 Heat 2	COSMIC ODETTE (1) - Shifted up track in run to first bend. ALLEN HADRIAN (3) - Tightened early stages losing ground. Improved inside runners into first bend forcing them wide. MAZU (6) - Slow to jump. Pushed down track in run to first bend. Checked first bend losing ground. SHANTUI (7) - Slow to jump. Ran inwards in run to first bend.

OPAWA TIMO (2) - Angled outwards home turn pushing runner wide. QUISTIS BALE (3) - Ran outwards into first bend contacting outside runner. Pushed wide home turn. FAIR PIPPA (4) - Contacted by inside runner into first bend. MUST BE RUSTY (5) - Tightened end of back straight and lost ground. HELSKI BALE (6) - Ran outwards early stages hampering outside runners. Ran sharply inwards into first bend making solid contact with the rail and losing ground. Assessed by vet and cleared of injury. TOM TEE (7) - Hampered by inside runner early stages.
