Track: Good The track was presented in good order and the meeting proceeded smoothly.

Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: Trainer C.Morris was charged under the provisions of Rule 44.8 b when failing to present the registration papers for PHANTOM WAY in race 9. However, Ms Morris did not admit the charge and the matter is to be referred to the J.C.A for consideration.
Trainer W.Kite admitted a breach of Rule 62.1 o of the Minor Infringement Table in that she was negligent when placing her Greyhound AL'S APPRENTICE into the starting boxes with its collar on and a fine of $ 200-00 was imposed. Starter J.Richardson admitted a breach of Rule 48.12 and Penalty Rule 62.1 o in that he allowed a Trainer to remove a greyhound from the Starting Boxes, remove the collar and then place the greyhound back in the boxes. As a result, a fine of $ 200-00 was imposed.

Was checked again when tightened between runners going into the bend but made up ground well to finish in 4th place. BARK MY WORDS (4) - Was checked when the start was made and settled at the rear but did make up[ some ground to finish 5th. UNPROFOUND (5) - Raced wide on the bend and into the straight but ran on well to finish 3rd.
Race 2	WANGANUI CHRONICLE C0 - C0 - 520	BIGTIME SANDY (1) - Shifted out going into the first corner and caused checks to other runners. TRENDY VAL (5) - Was hampered and forced wide into the first bend and lost momentum. WHITE COMET (8) - Forced wide into the first bend covering extra ground and stayed well back for the remainder. BIGTIME RILEY (9/3) - Was tightened between runners going to the first turn and was checked and settled at the rear.
Race 3	METEOR OPD WANGANUI C0 - C0 - 305	BARK KNOPFLER (1) - Was very slow from the boxes losing several lengths but made up ground very well to finish in 3rd place. STAR SECRET (3) - Raced very wide on the bend and into the home straight covering extra ground and finished in last place. AHUROA MAGIC (4) - Shifted out on the bend and entered the straight very wide on the track. PIKO PIKO DAWN (7) - Raced wide covering extra ground but still finished 4th. SUBWAY KAY (8) - Also raced wide covering extra ground and finished well back.
Race 4	ADEPT ACCOUNTANTS WANGANUI C0 - C0 - 305	CAREFREE HIGHWAY (1) - Was tightened and checked going into the first turn and lost ground. CASH PERSON (2) - Crowded and lost his position going into the bend and he stayed back to finish in 2nd last place. ZIGGY ATTACK (3) - Shifted in and checked runners drawn further in going into the bend. HOMEBUSH BOW (6) - Was the slowest to begin and raced at the tail of the field and finished several lengths last and was referred to the Vet and found to have quadricep and shoulder pain.
Race 5	THE ROCK 95.2FM C1 - C1 - 520	CAWBOURNE ANGUS (1) - Was slow to begin and settled at the rear but gradually made up ground and finished 2nd. ROCKY'S TO MUCH (4) - Was handy entering the home straight but checked over heels and lost momentum. OPAWA GAIL (5) - Shifted out on the first bend and raced wide for the remainder and finished last. SECRET AGENDA (7) - Was forced wide on the first bend over extra ground. FOREVER AND EVER (9/8) - Was slow to begin and stayed well back throughout.
Race 6	J P PRINT PETONE C1 - C1 - 305	GRAEMES PICK (1) - Was jostled and lost ground going into the bend. DEMAN BLUE BLOOD (2) - Was tightened adjacent to the rail going into the bend and was checked back to the rear and stayed there for the remainder. JAMAICA MISTAICA (3) - Was jostled and lost ground going into the bend and stayed back for the remainder. PARIS GLOBAL (4) - Was jostled in the race to the first corner and was unbalanced but recovered to finish in 3rd place.
Race 7	AON CPF C1 - C1 - 520	RALLY SARIOUS (2) - Raced in a handy position until 300 metres to run then drifted and finished several lengths last and was referred to the Vet and cleared of injury. The distance of the race was possibly outside the dogs capabilities as he has only ever had three distance races. CHIP OFF BLOCK (4) - Was checked and lost ground when a weakening runner came back on her running line and she lost several lengths.
Race 8	PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C1 - C1 - 305	OPAWA ALEX (1) - Shifted out from the start and checked over heels and settled back. Was then bumped from the outside and was unbalanced for a short distance. Was referred to the Vet for assessment and cleared of injury. HOMEBUSH FREDA (5) - Shifted in abruptly from the start and bumped with another runner and settled back where she stayed for the remainder.
Race 9	FIRST SECURITY C1 - C1 - 520	CAWBOURNE JAZZY (5) - Checked off the back of another runner going into the first bend and shifted out to race wide. RUBBED OUT (6) - Checked from behind and unbalanced going into the first bend. CAWBOURNE KAI (7) - Forced wide into the first bend losing several lengths and stayed back for the remainder. BRADAM BEGINS (8) - Was forced wide on the first bend over extra ground but recovered to go on and win the race.
Race 10	WANGANUI TOYOTA C1 - C1 - 305	BACON MY HEART (4) - Was involved in jostling for a short distance after the start and lost ground but recovered to finish in 4th place. NDORA (5) - Was jostled after the start and settled back where she stayed throughout. Was referred to the Vet at the Trainers request and stood down for 14 days with a hip injury. SIOUX BAXTER (6) - Was crowded and jostled after the start losing several lengths and she stayed well back.
Race 11	LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C1 - C1 - 520	CAWBOURNE BETTSY (6) - Was very slow to begin losing five lengths and he stayed well back and finished with the tailenders.
Race 12	BOOK YOUR FUNCTION @ HATRICK C1 - C1 - 305	BARK ROSANOWSKI (3) - Checked off the heels of another runner which came back into her line and they both lost several lengths and all chance. THRILLING MIA (6) - Was tightened going into the bend and went back and then out wide into the bend losing several lengths and finished last.
Race 13	HATRICK DASH C1 - C1 - 305	The start was slightly delayed when AL'S APPRENTICE (1) - Was initially placed in the boxes with its collar on, was then taken out, the collar was removed and the dog put back in the boxes. ( Refer to the Judicial section ) SOZIN'S GALAXY (3) - Shifted out after the start and bumped anther runner which was checked. HELLO IT'S ME (4) - Was bumped after the start and unbalanced losing ground and she went back to last and finished in that position.
Race 14	MAX REFRIGERATION WANGANUI C1 - C1 - 305	CYNDI ACTION (1) - Was checked going into the bend and lost three lengths. BIGTIME MARK (4) - Was slow to begin and settled back but made up ground to finish in 2nd place. AMY BAXTER (7) - Was checked going into the bend losing four lengths and she stayed back to finish last.
Race 15	LASER PLUMBING WANGANUI C1 - C1 - 305	WATCH YOUR BACK (1) - Was crowded going into the bend and checked losing two lengths but made up ground for 4th place. AGENT ANNA (2) - Was crowded from the outside going into the bend and lost two lengths but recovered to finish in 3rd place. CAWBOURNE HINT (6) - Was checked on the bend and lost ground, going back to last and finishing in that position.
