Judicial report: SUPPLEMENTRY:- Christchurch GRC - 7 September 2017 RACE 12 The Livamol Sprint - Trainer R Blackburn reported that following last nights race DIXIE MISS was lame in the right hind leg and will be examined by a veterinarian prior to racing next.

1). AVENGER BALE (A Roberts) - completed satisfactory trial after Failing to Pursue the lure at the The Meadows on the 20 May 2017 and is now permitted to race.

2). INKY LORD (S Hindson) - completed a satisfactory trial in blinkers and now has approval to wear blinkers in a race.

3). DUDLEY FIELDS (R Adcock) - stood down for 3 Months(Second offence) and pending a satisfactory trial after Failing To Pursue the lure in Race 3.

4). ZIPPING NAT (C Weir) - stood down for 3 Months and pending a satisfactory trial after Marring in Race 5.

5). HOMEBUSH MAIA (J McInerney) - stood down for 28 days and pending a satisfactory trial after Marring in Race 6.

6). All available films will be further reviewed in the coming days and any matter arising will be dealt with subject to Rule 11.1 (b).

FERAL STEADFAST (2) - boxed first. Jostled with inside runner in run to the bend. COSMIC BRITANY (3) - placed in restricted room and dragged down entering the bend losing ground. Referred to the veterinarian - cleared of injury. SMASH KING (4) - bumped form the inside early stages then from the outside shortly afterwards. HOMEBUSH BRODIE (5) - jostled with outside runner in run to the bend. Squeezed for racing room prior to the bend before being checked and losing ground. GOLDSTAR BINDI (6) - contacted at the start from the outside. Jostled with inside runner in run to the bend. HOMEBUSH DEMI (7) - came inwards at the start bumping with inside greyhound.
Race 2	Clarkson Sign Studio Dash - C0 - 295	HIGH RETURN (1) - began awkwardly. Bumped from the outside in run to the bend. KAYTEE GIBBS (4) - came in at the start and bumped with inside runner. Contacted from the outside shortly after. HOMEBUSH BODEN (6) - contacted outside runner at the start. Awkwardly placed on heels shortly after and had to check. NOT SHACKLEY (7) - began awkwardly before contacted inside runner. placed o heels and slightly checked entering the bend. FIERY JEMMA (8) - came down the track in the run to the bend contacting several runners.
Race 3	Addington Events Centre Stakes - C0 - 520	MAGIC BRODIE (1) - made possible contact with the running rail entering the final bend and had to steady. EYREWELL VALETTA (3) - bumped from the outside approaching the finish line on the last occasion. HOMEBUSH HUNDY (5) - contacted from the outside early stages. Turned outwards entering the first bend losing ground. Squeezed fro racing room rounding the first bend and had to abruptly steady and check outwards losing further ground. Awkward in its gait rounding the final bend and lost ground with the field. Referred to the veterinarian - found to show signs of muscle tie up. Re-presented to the veterinarian later in the day and found to have an injured right hind Gracilis and Hock with a 10 day stand down issued. TOKEN PICK (6) - began awkwardly. DUDLEY FIELDS (8) - came down the track abruptly at the start contacting inside runner. Voluntarily turned its head inwards and bumped with EYREWELL VALETTA (3) approaching the finishing line on the last occasion. Referred to the veterinarian - cleared of injury. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr R Adcock regarding this greyhounds racing manners at this stage of the race. After hearing submissions tendered by Mr Adcock and viewing all available films Stewards could not ascertain beyond doubt that DUDLEY FIELDS had made muzzle/head contact (Marred) with the greyhound to its inside however were satisfied that it had Failed to Pursue the Lure to which it was stood down for the mandatory 3 months (second offence) and directed it to perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.
Race 4	Islington Tavern Sprint - C0 - 295	LOTS MORE CHEERS (1) - bumped down the track in the run to the bend. Placed in restricted room entering the bend and checked outwards inconveniencing outside runners and itself losing its chance. Referred to the veterinarian - cleared of injury. GOTCHA MILLIE (2) - began awkwardly. Dragged down entering the bend losing its chance. Referred to the veterinarian - cleared of injury. FERAL WHANAU (3) - dictated down the track through the early stages bumping with inside runner. Squeezed for room entering the bend and had to steady. HOMEBUSH JEAN (4) - checked and forced up the track entering the bend. Referred to the veterinarian - cleared of injury. SMASH CHARGER (5) - slow to jump. HOMEBUSH TASHA (6) - squeezed for room entering the bend and lost ground. Checked outwards off heels exiting the bend. CHOP SHOP (7) - came down the track in the run to the bend dictating inside runners down the track.
Race 5	Shirley Vet Clinic Stakes - C0 - 520	KNOW POTENTIAL (1) - slow to jump. GOLDSTAR CHIEF (2) - held up momentarily exiting the bend. GORM THE GREAT (3) - shifted up the track early stages contacting outside greyhound. Continued to shift up the track in the run to the first bend placing pressure on outside runners. FIRED UP JASPER (4) - squeezed for racing room early stages. Had its racing line impeded throughout the run home by inside runner. COSMIC STU (5) - squeezed for racing room early stages. Checked and turned slightly entering the first bend. EYREWELL LUCY (6) - squeezed for racing room early stages. ZIPPING NAT (7) - came down the track early stages contacting inside greyhound. Squeezed for racing room prior to the first bend and had to steady. Checked shortly afterwards losing momentum. Bumped with inside greyhound rounding the first bend. Denied clear running exiting the bend before voluntarily turning its head outwards and making muzzle/head contact with FIRED UP JASPER (4) on several occasions in the home straight. Referred to the veterinarian - cleared of injury. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr C Weir regarding this greyhounds racing manners through the run home. After viewing all available films and hearing submissions tendered by Mr Weir regarding this conduct Stewards were satisfied that the greyhound had breached Rule 55.1(a) in that it had voluntarily turned its head so as to make muzzle/head contact with the runner to its outside and in consequence stood ZIPPING NAT down for the mandatory 3 months (second offence) and directed it to perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.
Race 6	Amber Cleaning Services Sprint - C0 - 295	HOMEBUSH AUSTIN (2) - late scratching prior to stir ups due to be bleeding from a split nail underneath it's left hind foot with a 10 day stand down imposed. LOKIE (4) - checked outwards off heels entering the bend and shifted up the track before being contacted heavily by inside runner. Stewards will follow up the recovery of this greyhound with trainer M Robinson after a communication error failed to have the bitch checked by the veterinarian. HOMEBUSH MAIA (5) - began awkwardly. Shifted up the track making muzzle/head contact with LOKIE(4) rounding the bend. Stewards spoke to kennel representative Mr J McInerney Jr regarding this greyhounds racing manners rounding the bend. After viewing all available films and hearing submissions tendered by Mr McInerney regarding this conduct Stewards were satisfied that the greyhound had breached Rule 55.1(a) in that it had voluntarily shifted up the track turning its head outwards so as to make make muzzle/head contact with the runner to its outside and in consequence stood HOMEBUSH MAIA down for the mandatory 28 days and directed it to perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.
Race 7	Kolorful Kanvas Christchurch Classic Heat 1 - R/Aq - 520 Heat 1	HOMEBUSH CLINT (1) - squeezed for racing room entering the first bend losing ground. HOMEBUSH PATRIOT (3) - squeezed for racing room entering the first bend losing ground. REPLICA RANGO (5) - squeezed for racing room entering the first bend. OPAWA TAB (6) - squeezed for racing room entering the first bend. checked outwards off heels exiting the final bend. GOLDSTAR SPOTTY (7) - came inwards at the start.
Race 8	Kolorful Kanvas Christchurch Classic Heat 2 - R/Aq - 520 Heat 2	PERFECT RESULT (1) - inconvenienced and checked outwards entering the first bend before being clipped from behind. GOLDSTAR HARVEY (2) - checked entering first bend. LEO'S SON (4) - checked entering the first bend when contacting outside runner. HOMEBUSH FLUTEY (5) - checked and dictated wider on the track entering the first bend. PRINCELY GOLD (7) - heavily contacted entering the first bend when contacted from the inside. Weakened inside the final bend. Referred to the veterinarian - cleared of injury.
Race 9	Spectators Bar & Bistro Sprint - C2 - 295	TILT (2) - squeezed for racing room prior to the bend and had to check losing ground. Checked outwards off heels exiting the bend. BURSAR (3) - placed in restricted room entering the bend and lost momentum. COCO BANGO (4) - placed in restricted room entering the bend and lost momentum. RUM GIN MIXER (7) - raced wide rounding the bend.
Race 10	Ron's Muzzle Repairs Ph0272916330 Dash - C2 - 295	BOSSY AFFAIR (1) - slow to jump. Squeezed for racing room entering the bend checking outwards contacting runner to its outside. held up for racing room rounding the bend and had to check outwards. WHOSE HE (2) - boxed first. Slow to jump. Contacted and squeezed for racing room losing ground entering the bend. Checked off heels exiting the bend. CATHY MAREE (4) - slightly squeezed for room entering the bend. ADJUDICATOR (6) - checked first bend losing momentum.
Race 11	Dave Robbie Photographer Dash - C2 - 295	ZUGZWANG (2) - shifted up the track in the run to the first bend placing pressure on outside greyhounds. Placed in restricted room entering the bend having to check and lose ground. IDOL STAR (3) - contacted from the outside in the run to the bend. JUST JAMES (4) - held up for acing room entering the bend and had to steady. ULTRA ACTION (5) - checked inwards off heels in the run to the bend contacting inside runner. Squeezed for room entering the bend and lost momentum. NIPPA - A - SPOT (6) - placed in restricted room rounding the bend and had to check. TOKEN ACE (7) - checked and lost ground rounding the bend.
Race 12	Protexin Sprint - C2 - 295	KNOW STRUGGLE (3) - shortened stride entering the bend and lost contact with the field. Referred to the veterinarian - stood down for 28 days with a torn left gracilis. Trainer G Cleeve advised it was his intention to retire the greyhound. GIANCANA (6) - squeezed early. Checked rounding the bend losing ground. JOEY BAXTER (7) - squeezed early and checked out off heels.
