Track: Good The track was presented in good order and the meeting proceeded smoothly.
Scales: Checked and correct
Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: Trainers G & J Clarke were unable to attend the meeting due to illness and were unable to arrange for somebody to transport their dogs to the meeting and they were all scratched. Mr and Mrs Clarke were requested to supply medical certificates to the stewards.
FORKNER BALE ( Race 11 ) is required under the provisions of Rule 38.9 to complete a satisfactory trial before next racing due to an unsatisfactory performance.

Race 1 ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL C0 - C0 - 305 CARRICK (1) - Tightened adjacent to the rail going into the bend and lost ground. UNPROFOUND (2) - checked going into the bend and lost ground and then raced a little wide on the bend and finished well back. AHUROA MAGIC (3) - Jostled and unbalanced going into the bend and then raced wide over extra ground and finished 2nd last. HOMEBUSH GRACIE (4) - Was down in weight by 2.1 kilograms and this was intentional. Began well but was then awkwardly placed in restricted room going to the first turn and checked back to the rear and stayed there for the remainder of the race.
Race 2 WANGANUI CHRONICLE C0 - C0 - 520 LAST MAN ALIVE (3) - Was checked and lost two lengths going to the last bend. HOWLIN ACE (4) - Was checked after the start and again goig into the first bend and lost momentum on both occasions. CAWBOURNE BETTSY (6) - Was the slowest to begin but quickly made up ground and with the benefit of a clear run through on the inside, went on to win the race. BIGTIME RILEY (8) - Was slow to begin and stayed back throughout to finish in last place.
Race 3 METEOR OPD WANGANUI C0 - C0 - 305 MISS MUFFET (1) - Was tightened adjacent to the rail going into the first turn and was shuffled back to last and stayed well back for the remainder. CASH PERSON (3) - (Fav ) Was one of the slowest to begin but made up ground until checked on the bend losing four lengths and stayed well back. Was referred to the Vet and found to have pain in both front tricep muscles and hind quadricep muscle. HELLO IT'S ME (5) - Began awkwardly and settled at the rear but made up ground well to finish in 3rd place.
Race 4 ADEPT ACCONTANTS C0D F - C0d - 645 CAWBOURNE WESTY (7) - Tailed the field throughout and finished several lengths last. Appeared awkward in his galloping action and was referred to the Vet and found to have pain in both wrists.
Race 5 J P PRINT PETONE C1 - C1 - 520 IDOL JAZZ (4) - Was tightened at the start and lost momentum when runners either side shifted ground but she made up ground well to win the race. CAWBOURNE SKEETA (7) - Was bumped and unbalanced on the first bend and lost ground. OPAWA BUCKS (10/3) - Shifted ground on the first bend and contacted another runner which was inconvenienced.
Race 6 THE ROCK 95.2FM C0 - C0 - 305 PARIS GLOBAL (3) - Was tightened and checked losing ground going into the bend but recovered to finish in 4th place. UNGRATEFUL (5) - Began awkwardly losing ground and then raced wide and stayed back to finish last. WARRIOR TONY (6) - Was checked losing several lengths going into the bend and stayed well back for the remainder.
Race 7 AON CPF C1 - C1 - 520 BANSHEE REEL (4) - Bumped and unbalanced going into the first turn and lost momentum and stayed well back. BIGTIME TALKER (6) - Was hampered when the start was made and was inconvenienced for a short distance. BIGTIME EVE (7) - ( Fav ) Was checked from the start and settled well back. IVANHOV (9/5) - Shifted ground from the start, making contact and losing ground and stayed back at the rear throughout.
Race 8 PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C1 - C1 - 305 NDORA (3) - Was checked after the start losing several lengths and she then raced very wide on the bend and into the straight and finished last. Was referred to the Vet and found to have pain in latissimus dorsi, left tricep and left hind sartorius muscles. IF IT FITZ (4) - Was checked after the start and lost ground and she stayed well back throughout.
Race 9 FIRST SECURITY C1 - C1 - 520 OPAWA GAIL (5) - Was checked from behind going into the back straight and she lost momentum and then raced wide on the final bend and finished last.
Race 10 WANGANUI TOYOTA C1 - C1 - 305 BIGTIME MARK (5) - Was slow to begin losing two lengths but made up ground to finish in 4th place. OPAWA JANET (6) - Was slow away from the boxes and then raced wide over extra ground and finished well back in 7th place.
Race 11 LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C1 - C1 - 520 PATTY BOY (1) - Was checked from behind entering the back straight losing several lengths and he stayed well back for the remainder. FORKNER BALE (2) - Drifted from the end of the back straight and finished a distance last and was referred to the Vet and cleared of injury. FORKNER BALE is now required to complete a satisfactory trial before next racing. BIGTIME LIAM (6) - (Fav) One of the slowest away from the boxes and was awkwardly placed going to the first bend and was shuffled back to last. He was then held up behind a weakening runner for some distance going into the final bend and finished in 6th place.
Race 12 BOOK YOUR FUNCTION @ HATRICK C1 - C1 - 305 WATCH YOUR BACK (4) - Jostled with another runner for some distance going to the first turn and around the bend and they both lost ground and finished at the rear. BIGTIME BUSTER (7) - lLay in on another runner for some distance going to the first turn and around the bend and they were both unbalanced and finished at the rear. JAMAICA MISTAICA (9/6) - Was slow to begin losing two lengths but did make up some ground for 5th place.
Race 13 HATRICK DASH C1 - C1 - 305 JET PACK (7) - Was slow away from the boxes and settled back where he stayed throughout to finish last.
Race 14 MAX REFRIGERATION C1 - C1 - 305 BARN DOOR BILLY (8) - Raced wide throughout covering extra ground and finished near the rear.
Race 15 LASER PLUMBING WANGANUI C1 - C1 - 305 JANE BAXTER (1) - Shifted out going into the bend and hampered another runner for a short distance. BUDDY SWIFT (7) - Was slow away from the boxes and settled back. Was inconvenienced going into the bend when another runner shifted out into his line. GOLDSTAR GIZMO (8) - Was slow to begin and stayed well back throughout the race.
