Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: 1). JET PLANE JESS (Hart & Taylor) & DANZIGER (R Blackburn) - both completed satisfactory box trials and are now permitted to race.

2) JUST ERNIE (H Anderton) - Ophthalmologist report provided for this greyhound to now be permitted to race.

3) GRANNY MAGNET (J Dunn) - completed a satisfactory trial and is now permitted to race.

4). CHIEF DOUG ( J McInerny) - stood down for 28 days after sustaining a fracture to its right shoulder at the lure in the qualifying heat.

5). VALYRIAN STEEL (J McInerney) - (Race 3) - was a late scratching at the table after being found to have a nail injury to its left hind foot.

6). IDOL GEORGIE (J RUSH) - (Race 9) - was a late scratching when found to be in season.

7). ROADWORKS (M Grant) - (Race 9) - was a late scratching after being found to have an infected right hind foot.

8). DOTTIE FIELDS (C Weir) - stood down for 1 year (3rd offence) and pending a satisfactory trial for marring in race 2.

9). GOLDSTAR LINKIN ( S & B Evans) - stood down 28 days and pending a satisfactory trial for failing to Pursue the Lure in race 7. Co-Trainer S Evans made application with the JCA to have this decision reviewed with a hearing to take place sine die.

10). Only the side on films were available to report with for race 10.

11). All available films will be further reviewed in the coming days and any matter arising will be dealt with subject to Rule 11.1 (b).

Race 1	The Fitz Sports Bar Sprint - C0 - 295	HOMEBUSH TASHA (1) - turned inwards entering the bend. jostled with outside runner exiting the bend. HOMEBUSH DEMI (2) - placed in restricted room entering the bend and had to check. KNOW NEWS (3) - bumped with outside runner on several occasions in the run to the bend. Placed in restricted room entering the bend and had to steady. DAPPER DANNY (5) - obliged to check off heels and change ground shortly after the start. Checked entering the bend. Jostled with inside runner exiting the bend. SMASH DAMAGE (6) - began awkwardly settling last. HOMEBUSH AUSTIN (7) - came down the track and bumped with inside runners in the run to the bend. Placed in restricted room entering the bend and was severely checked. Vet checked - clear of injury.
Race 2	Happy Birthday Rick Quirk Stakes - C0 - 520	MATARIKI (2) - placed in restricted room entering the first bend and had to check off heels losing ground. KNOW BARGAIN (4) - slow early. VIKTORIA VIKKERS (5) - had muzzle contact from outside runner on several occasions when racing down the back straight and again throughout the run home with this hampering the greyhounds ability to race true. GOLDSTAR ARDEN (9/6) - squeezed for racing room early stages. INTER OBLIVION (7) - squeezed for racing room early stages. DOTTIE FIELDS (8) - came inwards at the start making contact with inside runner. Made muzzle contact on several occasion with VIKTORIA VIKKERS (5) when racing down the back straight before shifting up the track rounding the final bend voluntarily turning its head inwards. This greyhound then again made muzzle contact with VIKTORIA VIKKERS exiting the final bend and continued to do so for the entirety of the home straight. Stewards charged DOTTIE FIELDS under GRNZ rule 55 1. (a) for Marring and in consequence to this the greyhound was stood down for the mandatory 1 year period (3rd offence) and directed to perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.
Race 3	Coalgate Tavern Sprint - C1 - 295	ANOTHER MESSAGE (2) - squeezed for racing room entering the bend losing momentum. GOLDSTAR BRYTON (3) - contacted outside runner early stages becoming unbalanced.
Race 4	A2B Asphalt Canterbury Stakes - C0 - 520	MAGIC BRODIE (2) - squeezed for racing room prior to the first bend. Held up for racing room exiting the bend. CHEESE PLEASE (3) - contacted early stages. AMY BOY (4) - dictated down the track early stages bumping with inside runner. Checked rounding the first bend. Weakened final bend and was dragged down.Vet checked - cleared of injury. PEEKAY SHOUT (6) - slow to jump. OPAWA VEGAN (7) - awkwardly placed between runners rounding the first bend and had to check outwards. Climbed on the heels of tiring runner rounding the final bend and had to check.
Race 5	Carol's TAB Clendon Inn Dash - C2 - 295	VERBENA (1) - placed in restricted room entering the bend and lost momentum. ADJUDICATOR (2) - squeezed for racing room early stages and had to check losing ground. HOMEBUSH RILEY (3) - placed in restricted room entering the bend and lost momentum.Awkwardly placed to the inside of runner exiting the bend. VALLENDE STAR (7) - placed in restricted room entering the bend and lost momentum. Contacted from inside exiting the bend.
Race 6	Amber Cleaning Services Dash - C0 - 295	HOMEBUSH BRODIE (2) - squeezed for racing room entering the bend and lost momentum. OLLIEBOLLON (3) - squeezed for racing room entering the bend and had to check losing ground. Vet checked - cleared of injury. CULVIE YOGI (5) - checked outwards off heels early stages and become unbalanced. Came down the track entering the bend and placed pressure on inside runners before being placed in restricted room itself having to check and lose all ground. Vet checked - cleared of injury. HOMEBUSH INDI (8) - dragged down entering the bend and lost ground. Vet checked - cleared of injury.
Race 7	Islington Tavern Sprint - C2 - 295	RUNNIN' CLOGGS (1) - placed in restricted room rounding the bend losing ground. JUST JAMES (4) - checked and lost ground when placed in restricted room entering the bend. SAHARA SAM (5) - awkwardly placed between runners rounding the bend and lost ground. IDOL STAR (6) - inconvenienced by checked runner entering the bend. GOLDSTAR LINKIN (7) - voluntarily eased up for a noticeable distance when racing round the bend and free of interference. Vet checked post race - No injury detected. Stewards spoke to co-trainer S Evans regarding this greyhounds racing manners rounding the bend. After viewing all available films and taking into account the submissions tendered by Mr Evans regarding this conduct Stewards were satisfied that this greyhound had breached GRNZ rule 55.1 (b) and that it had Failed to Pursue the Lure to which it was stood down for the mandatory 28 days and directed to perform a Satisfactory Trial. Trainer S Evans made application to the JCA to review this decision with a hearing to be held sine die.
Race 8	Kolorful Kanvas Distance - C1d - 645	KNOW WORTH (1) - raced in restricted room exiting the final bend. OPAWA HOPE (3) - contacted from behind early stages losing its balance and momentum. KAY BOMB (5) - squeezed and checked off heels early stages. DEAD WONG (6) - contacted from behind entering the kennels corner. Placed pressure on inside runner exiting the final bend becoming unbalanced.
Race 9	Dave Robbie Photographer Dash - C2 - 295	HOTDOG SHANNON (4) - awkwardly placed to the outside of runner and forced up the track rounding teh bend. ZULU JASPER (5) - slow to jump. Awkwardly placed on heels and had to check entering the bend. KNOW LAPSE (6) - ran up track entering bend forcing other runners wider.
Race 10	Christchurch Casino Stakes - C1 - 520	GRAEBURN (1) - shifted up the track early stages and was inclined to race wide throughout. AVALANCH CITY (2) - checked off heels early stages. COCO BANGO (10/4) - checked outwards off heels entering the first bend. QADIIR BALE (9/3) - raced on the shoulder of inside runner exiting final bend. ARCANE SABRE (6) - squeezed and lost ground early stages. FAB ACTION (8) - awkward on heels entering final bend. Squeezed for racing room exiting final bend.
Race 11	Angler's Arms Tavern Stakes - C2 - 520	SMASH REBEL (1) - raced in tight quarters exiting final bend. OPAWA PLUM (2) - checked off heels rounding the first bend. OPAWA ANTHONY (3) - placed in restricted room exiting final bend. SEA SPRAY ELSA (4) - bumped from the outside early stages. ran wider on the track rounding the first bend. GOLDSTAR MARVELY (5) - placed in restricted room early stages. BOSSY AFFAIR (6) - forced to race wide first bend. TRENDY BLAKE (7) - placed in restricted room early stages. Lost contact with the field entering the final turn. Vet checked - cleared of injury. Performance noted. GOLDSTAR DODGE (8) - came down the track abruptly at the start making heavy contact with inside runner.
Race 12	Protexin Sprint - C2 - 295	ROCKET JEWEL (3) - came up with the lid and settled last. JINJA LOCH (6) - placed in restricted room early stages and had to check off heels. BURSAR (7) - came down the track and contacted inside runner early stages. Awkwardly placed to the outside of runner entering the bend and lost ground.
