Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: 1). HOMEBUSH SHEA (J McInerney) - completed a satisfactory box trial and is now permitted to race.

2). Stewards spoke with the Lure Driver during the course of the meeting in regards to the manner in which it was being controlled post race.

3). All available films will be further reviewed in the coming days and any matter arising will be dealt with subject to Rule 11.1 (b).

Race 1	Know Peace @ Stud Sprint - C3 - 295	SARAYA JAYDE (1) - lost momentum when awkwardly placed to the inside of runners entering the bend. HOMEBUSH BANKER (3) - contacted outside runner in home straight. HILTON OPEN (4) - forced down the track early stages before being placed in restricted room entering the bend having to check and lose ground. KNOW RESPECT (5) - squeezed for racing room early stages. TRIXIE LEE (6) - awkwardly placed between runners entering the bend and had to check. Bumped from the inside in run home. ZIPPING MARO (7) - began awkwardly. Checked for a stride rounding the bend.
Race 2	Jean & Dave Fahey Dash - C4 - 295	SMASH THAT (1) - boxed first. Shifted up the track upon entering the home straight and made contact with outside runner. JUSTIN RYAN (3) - bumped down the track early stages. MR. MARINE (4) - squeezed for racing room early stages. PEAKY BOY (5) - squeezed for racing room early stages. Contacted from the inside shortly after exiting the bend. DIXIE MISS (6) - bumped inside runner early. MAX STIX (7) - gave ground shortly after the start. Vet checked and found to have torn its left gracilis muscle with a 21 day stand down imposed. BOTANY CLOUD (8) - weakened rounding the bend. Vet checked and found to be tying-up with no stand down imposed.
Race 3	Fast Archer @ Stud Dash - C3 - 295	INSIDE AFFAIR (3) - placed in restricted room entering the bend and was severly checked losing its chance. Vet checked and cleared of injury. ICE PRINCESS (4) - began awkwardly before being squeezed for racing room.
Race 4	Shirley Vet Clinic Distance - C2d - 645	GOLDSTAR AVERY (3) - squeezed for racing room shortly after the start. WAIMAC (4) - bumped shortly after the start before being placed in restricted room. Checked outwards off heels entering the kennels corner. TRANSLATOR (5) - squeezed for racing room shortly after the start. before being checked and losing ground. OPAWA CHEVIOT (6) - squeezed for racing room shortly after the start. VICARIOUS (7) - squeezed for racing room shortly after the start before losing ground when again placed in restricted room. KNOW JINX (8) - turned outwards slightly shortly after the start.
Race 5	Real Pet Foods Rolleston Place Pick - C4 - 295	OXFORD RED (2) - severely checked entering the bend and lost ground. Vet checked - No injury detected. FLAPS DOWN (3) - came together with outside runner early stages. SOZIN'S NOIR (4) - squeezed for racing room early stages. Hampered entering the bend. MISS FANNING (5) - came together with inside runner early stages. Squeezed for racing room entering bend. FIERY FAGAN (6) - checked entering the bend and lost momentum. SMASH BOMBER (7) - squeezed between runners entering the bend and terminally checked. Vet checked - no injury detected.
Race 6	$24.90 LPG Refills@Challenge Opawa NZ Bred Final - C1f - 295	INKY LORD (1) - shifted up the track exiting the bend becoming awkward on the heels of outside runner. MR.BEAR (3) - contacted from the inside exiting the bend losing momentum. HOMEBUSH TULIP (5) - lost ground when squeezed for room entering the bend. CULVIE LASS (6) - lost ground when squeezed for room entering the bend. SUPER BAD (7) - clipped from behind exiting the bend. CANNONBALL BOLT (8) - came up with the lid and lost its chance.
Race 7	$20K Vital Pet Food Terminating Pick 6 - C4 - 295	BELIEVE (1) - shifted up the track in run to the bend making contact with outside runner before having to check off heels losing ground. Checked by vet and found to have a torn web. SPEEDY RETURN (2) - boxed first. Came up with the lid and was slow to jump. RICK'S TREASURE (3) - inconvenienced exiting the bend. SOZIN'S BLUE (4) - contacted abruptly from the inside in run to the bend. Contacted again from the inside exiting the bend. JINJA CREAM FIZZ (5) - contacted from inside runner early stages. STU ON IT (8) - boxed first.
Race 8	Jinja Kennels Maiden Distance Feature - C0d - 645	FAIR PIPPA (1) - squeezed prior to entering the home straight on the first occasion. Checked outwards off heels exiting the final bend.
Race 9	Garrard's Horse & Hound Canterbury OTB Maiden - C0f - 520	SMASH CALLING (1) - checked and became unbalanced exiting first bend after TREVOR GIBBS (7) improved into a marginal gap to its inside. In consequence SMASH CALLING ran outwards checking PERFECT RESULT (5) causing this runner to turned and lose ground. SMASH CALLING, when recovering from this incident, shifted outwards and again bumped with PERFECT RESULT causing it a further check. Stewards spoke with Kennel Representative Mr S Hurd in regards to the racing conduct of SMASH CALLING in particular a possible breach of Rule 55 during this incident. Taking into account the comments tendered by Mr Hurd, viewing all available films, along with Stewards own observations it could not be ascertained beyond doubt that SMASH CALLING had breached Rule 55 and the matter was taken no further other than to note the incident. AURORA (2) - squeezed for racing room in run to first bend having to change ground. DAVE'S PICK (4) - shifted up the track early stages making contact with outside runner. Checked outwards off heels entering first bend contacting outside runner. PERFECT RESULT (5) - bumped from inside early stages. Bumped and turned on several occasions when exiting the first bend. Vet checked - cleared of injury. GOLDSTAR CHIEF (6) - obliged to check off heels early stages and again entering the first bend. TREVOR GIBBS (7) - slow to jump. Contacted outside runner exiting first bend when improving into a marginal gap. GOLDSTAR RAVEN (8) - bumped from inside entering first bend and lost momentum.
Race 10	Canterbury Greyhound OTB Presidents Cup Final - C5f - 295	CACTUS JACK (1) - jostled with outside runner exiting the bend. OPAWA WAIHEMO (3) - began awkwardly. ROSA TEE (4) - dragged down and shifted up the track rounding the bend losing momentum. Dragged down again shortly after losing further momentum. Fell at the lure. Vet checked - found to be free of injury. SWIMMING GOAT (5) - checked inwards after climbing on heels rounding the bend before being dragged down for a stride losing momentum. Contacted from the inside upon exiting the bend before bumping with outside runner shortly afterwards. Vet checked - 10 day stand down for a left hock sprain. HOMEBUSH FUED (6) - slow to jump. Severely checked rounding the bend losing ground. Vet checked - Cleared of injury. WOW MADONNA (7) - boxed first. Checked rounding the bend losing momentum. SERIOUSLY GRAND (8) - boxed first. Inconvenienced by checked runner rounding the bend and lost momentum. Awkwardly placed on heels shortly after, checking outwards and losing further momentum before being contacted from behind.
Race 11	Canterbury Pet Foods Stakes - C4 - 520	WATTA GUNN (2) - awkwardly placed to the outside of runner entering the last bend losing momentum. VIKINGS (4) - weakened concluding stages. Vet checked - found to be tying-up with no stand down deemed necessary. CAWBOURNE PALMER (6) - slow early.
Race 12	Canterbury Timber & Hardware Sprint - C5 - 295	BURN EARLY (1) - exited the boxes with its muzzle detached from its nose. This was examined and found to be in good order and of the right sizing. KNOW HASSLE (4) - slow to jump. Checked outwards and ran wide exiting the bend. JINJA BRIAN (6) - squeezed for racing room entering the bend losing momentum. Squeezed again prior to exiting the bend. OPAWA SHELDON (7) - checked off heels entering the bend and lost ground. TIP THE BABE (8) - inconvenienced exiting the bend.
