Judicial report: (1) SACRED OPERA (J.Guthrie) successfully completed a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with Rule 48.13 and is cleared to race. (2) HOMEBUSH SHEA (J.McInerney) turned in the boxes at the start of Race 2 and is required to complete a Satisfactory Trial under Rule 48.13.

Race 1	WELCOME TO THE NEW SEASON - C0 - 390	SPRINGHEEL JACK (3) - slow to jump. GOLDSTAR LOTTIE (4) - checked at the jump and clipped heels into turn losing ground. HOMEBUSH DEMI (6) - shifted inwards from the jump checking runners to inside. HOMEBUSH TASHA (7) - bumped in straight several times with dog to inside, losing ground. KOPUTAI (8) - bounded at the start losing momentum. Ran wide in straight. GOLDSTAR RAVEN (10/5) - checked at the jump. Heels clipped entering the turn losing momentum. Shifted outwards in straight bumping several times with runner to outside and losing momentum.
Race 2	www.southlandgreyhounds.co.nz - C0 - 390	GLASS HARPOON (2) - checked in run to the turn. HOMEBUSH SHEA (4) - turned in the boxes at the start and took no competitive part in the race. Required to complete a Satisfactory Trial under Rule 48.13 before starting again. POLYPHONIX (6) - shifted ground inwards in run to the turn checking runners to inside. HOMEBUSH BRODIE (9/5) - checked in run to the turn.
Race 3	GREYHOUNDSASPETS.ORG.NZ - C0 - 457	MELTING WORLD (5) - shifted outwards in run to the turn checking trailing runner. GOLDSTAR CHIEF (6) - checked in run to the turn. PEEKAY SHOUT (9/8) - very slow to jump losing considerable ground early.
Race 4	DAVE ROBBIE PHOTOGRAPHER DASH - C1 - 390	VALYRIAN STEEL (4) - slow to jump losing ground early.
Race 5	ADDED ENERGY DASH - C3 - 390	SOUTHERN MIST (2) - subject to a veterinary check post race which revealed pain and instability to the right hock with a stand down recommended to have the leg x-rayed. IDOL STAR (5) - ran wide in straight. DAVE'S DOT (7) - bumped and lost momentum in run to the turn. Clipped heels of another runner into the turn faltering and losing ground and checking trailing runner. A post race veterinary check revealed no injury. SEEKING BAXTER (9/6) - bumped with another runner in the race to the turn losing momentum. Checked into the turn.
Race 6	SGRC TIPPING COMPETITION - C2 - 390	DETECTIVE DASH (1) - tightened and lost momentum into turn. IDOL GEORGE (2) - slow to jump. Pushed inwards into turn checking runner to inside. NIPPA-A-SPOT (5) - checked from jump. TRENDY BLAKE (6) - checked from jump. HOMEBUSH KELSO (9/8) - ran sharply inwards from the jump checking runners to inside. When asked about the improved performance of the winner HOMEBUSH KELSO trainer J.McInerney advised that the wide draw assisted together with the fact that the dog was racing down the grades now.
Race 7	OTATARA STAKES - C1 - 457	DAVE'S PICK (2) - checked a the jump losing ground. ROVER BALE (3) - ran inwards from jump checking runner to inside. AVALANCH CITY (8) - shifted inwards into turn brushing running rail and losing momentum.
Race 8	ASCOT PARK CONSORTIUM - C2 - 457	JON SNOW LIVES (1) - checked outwards off heels on turn losing ground. DYNA HADVAR (2) - checked at jump. STORMING MACK (3) - shifted inwards at jump checking runner to inside. GOLDSTAR MARVELY (4) - slow to jump.
Race 9	MR WHIPPY SOUTHLAND - C3/4 - 390	MAX STIX (3) - tightened into the turn, shifted outwards becoming unbalanced and falling. Regained feet to finish last with a post race veterinary check revealeing no injury. SOZIN'S BLUE (4) - shifted inwards into the turn tightening and checing runners to inside. CAWBOURNE BRITTY (7) - ran wide in straight. BOTANY ALAN (8) - checked and held up by falling runner. SUPER STEVIE (10/2) - checked into the turn losing ground.
Race 10	INVERCARGILL DISTANCE - C2d - 630	No racing incidents to report.
Race 11	SOUTHLAND & OTAGO PHOTO FINISH - C5 - 390	HOMEBUSH FUED (1) - tightened into turn losing momentum. BOTANY COLD (3) - checked into turn and pushed outwards. STORMING NORM (5) - ran inwards into turn checking runners to inside. OPAWA SHEIDON (6) - checked into turn and dictated outwards.
Race 12	RACING AGAIN 22 AUGUST - C3/4 - 457	GOLDSTAR MILEY (2) - slow to jump and then checked into turn. MINA ALLEN (3) - shifted inwards into turn when held up for room checking runner to inside. Following the race QUISTIS BALE (5) was examined by the veterinarian and found to have a torn toe nail o the left hind foot with a 14 day stand down recommended.
