Judicial report: (1) SACRED OPERA (J.Guthrie) required to complete a Satisfactory Trial under Rule 48.13 when turning in the boxes at the start of Race 2. (2) UMBREON BALE (C.Roberts) suspended for 28 days under Rule 55.1a for marring in Race 7 and required to complete a Satisfactory Trial.

Race 1	New Season Maiden Sprint - C0 - 310	HOMEBUSH HAZEL (2) - slow to jump. LEO'S SON (3) - checked shortly after the jump. STARBUCKING (4) - stumbled at the jump losing several lengths. Clipped heels of another greyhound on turn when improving and lost ground. A post race veterinary checked revealed no injury sustained by this greyhound in either incident. UNCLE JOCK (5) - slow to jump. Shifted inwards on turn bumping runner to inside and losing momentum. GOLDSTAR ARDEN (6) - checked shortly after the jump. Heels clipped on turn losing ground and all chance. GOLDSTAR LOTTIE (7) - ran inwards from the jump checking runners to inside. BUBLIN MAX (9/1) - checked on turn when bumped, and lost ground.
Race 2	www.greyhoundsaspets.org.nz - C0 - 545	PAT ALLIE (2) - shifted sharply outwards at jump bumping and checking runner to outside. Checked into the straight. GOLDSTAR RAVEN (3) - bumped and checked at the start. Checked into the straight when attempting an inside run. SACRED OPERA (4) - turned in the boxes and took no competitive part in the race. Required to complete a Satisfactory Trial under Rule 48.13 before it can start in a race. PEEKAY SHOUT (7) - slow to jump losing ground early. Shifted inewards into straight checking runners to inside.
Race 3	Otago GRC Maiden Stakes - C0 - 545	MELTING WORLD (1) - slow to jump. HOMEBUSH JAX (3) - shifted outwards from jump checking runner to outside. GOLDSTAR CHIEF (4) - checked at jump and dictated wide on turn. GOLDSTAR SAWYER (5) - ran outwards on first turn dictating runners wide. HALF PIE (6) - dictated wide on first turn.
Race 4	Keyosk Service Bar Sprint - C1 - 310	BLACK DAN (1) - shifted outwards at the jump checking runners to outside. Dictated wide into straight losing ground. SUMMER SALT (2) checked between runners at the jump. VALYRIAN STEEL (3) - slow to jump. BRITT BAXTER (4) - ran inewards from the jump tightening runners to inside. DETECTIVE DASH (7) - ran outwards into straight dictating another runner wide.
Race 5	Brian Bagley Driver Licensing Stakes - C1 - 545	QADIR BALE (3) - checked shortly after the jump. PIANISSIMO (4) - ran inwards from jump checking runner to inside. ESTER ACTION (5) - slow to jump. Checked off heels into first turn. Clipped heels into straight and fell losing all chance to finish last. A post race veterinary check revealed no injury. HOMEBUSH FLUTEY (6) - bumped runner into straight losing momentum. FRECKLE FLYER (8) - bumped into straight, became unbalanced and shifted ground outwards before having heels clipped and losing all chance. A post race veterinary check revealed no injury.
Race 6	Green Island Barber Stakes - C2 - 545	OPAWA CHEVIOT (1) - tightened from the jump. VICARIOUS (2) - ran inwards from jump tightening runner to inside. SOUTHERN HONEY (3) - tightened and checked from the jump. Ran outwards into first turn checking runner to outside. RUSHCUTER ACTION (4) - checked from the jump. Became unbalanced and lost momentum when bumped into first turn. WAIMAC (5) - tightened and checked shortly after the jump. OPAWA ANTHONY (6) - checked and dictated inwards at the jump. GOLDSTAR DODGE (8) -ran sharply inwards from the jump checking runners to inside.
Race 7	Dave Robbie Photographer Sprint - C2 - 310	DEFINITE (1) - bumped in run to the turn becoming unbalanced and in turn dictating runner to inside inwards. HOTDOG SHANNON (3) - checked in run to the turn striking the running rail and losing momentum. ADJUDICATOR (4) - shifted outwards in the run to the turn bumping dog to outside. Heels clipped on turn becoming unbalanced, turned sideways and checking trailing runner. A post race veterinary check revealed a broken right hind nail with a 7 day stand down recommended. GHISELLA (5) - checked in run to the line and forced wide. A post race veterinary check revealed split webbing on the right hind foot with a 14 day stand down recommended. UMBREON BALE (8) checked into turn. In the straight and in the run to the line turned head outwards making head contact with another runner on several occasions. Under Rule 55.1a the greyhound was suspended for 28 days for marring the running of another greyhound during a race and required to complete a Satisfactory Trial.
Race 8	Otago Daily Times Sprint - C3 - 310	OBEYANCE (1) - severely checked into the turn then had heels clipped and lost all chance. SOZIN'S NOIR (3) - ran inwards into the turn checking trailing runner. BOTANY COLD (2) - checked into the turn with a resulting severe check to the trailing runner. HOMEBUSH BANKER (5) - shifted outwards in run to the turn checking trailing runner.Further dictated wide on track into turn. IDOL STAR (7) - shifted outwards into turn dictating runner to outside wide. HOMEBUSH SLOAN (8) - checked in run to the turn. Fell when clipping the rear of another runner into the turn. Regained feet to finish a distant last with a veterinary check revealing no injury.
Race 9	Brocklebanks Dry Cleaners Stakes - C2/3 - 545	GOLDSTAR MILEY (4) - checked at the jump. Held up behind runners on first turn. GOLDSTAR DALLAS (5) - checked at the jump. SHIFT THE BLAME (6) - shifted inwards at jump checking runners to inside. Rear clipped in run to the first turn becoming unbalanced and losing ground. Shifted inwards at end of back straight checking trailing runner. OPAWA ROBYNANN (7) - clipped rear of another runner in run to the first turn losing momentum. Checked at end of back straight.
Race 10	Glamour Hooves Racing Stables Stakes - C4/5 - 545	MANDY JUNIOR (2) - ran outwards from the jump checking runners to outside. Shifted outwards into first turn and clipped from behind losing ground. Shortened stride at end of the back straight and pulled up. A post race veterinary check revealed and injury to the right hock with a 14 day stand down recommended. SOUTHERN LIGHTS (3) - checked at the jump. ALBIE PUNTER (4) - tightened and checked at the jump. Again checked by falling runner. SEA FEVER (5) - severely checked into first turn and fell taking no competitive part in the race to finish a distant last. A post race veterinary check revealed no injury. SHADY SNAPPER (6) - ran inwards into first turn severely checking runner to inside.
Race 11	St Kilda Veterinary Centre Dash - C5 - 310	CACTUS JACK (6) - checked on turn. OPAWA SHELDON (8) - shifted inwards on turn and became unbalanced when struck from behind. HOMEBUSH FLAME (9/5) - struck rear of another runner on turn losing all chand and checking trailing runner.
Race 12	Racing Again Tuesday 15 August - C4 - 310	JUSTIN RYAN (1) - severely checked into turn brushing running rail. EXPRESS GUNN (3) - checked shortly after the jump.Pushed outwards on turn. MY FIRST LITTER (4) - shifted shraply inwards into turn severly checking trailing runner. ANOTHER FORTUNE (5) - ran outwards shortly after the jump checking trailing runner and bumping runner to outside. Ran outwards on turn dictating another runner wide. HOMEBUSH ZIPPY (6) - tightened between runners at the jump and checked in the run to the turn.
