Track: Good . Following on from problems with the latch on the starting boxes at the previous meeting, talks have been held with NZGRA regarding the boxes and agreement was made and published prior to today to permit the manual opening of boxes for the meeting under Rule 74.2.

Shifted outwards off heels on the turn losing ground. HOMEBUSH PATRIOT (5) - checked into the turn. HOMEBUSH RILEY (6) - ran inwards into the turn checking runner to inside.
Race 2	ASCOT PARK CONSORTIUM - C2 - 390	OPAWA CRUSADE (3) - checked into the turn. DEMAN BLUE BLOOD (4) - checked from the jump. Pushed inwards into the turn checking trailing runner. CAWBOURNE BRITTY (5) - ran inwards from the jump checking runner to inside, then shifted outwards into turn tightening trailing runner. THESEUS (6) - tightened into the turn.
Race 3	www.southlandgreyhounds.co.nz - C0 - 457	PAT ALLIE (1) - tightened and checked into the turn. AWESOME ANNIE (2) - checked into the turn then struck by trailing runner and stumbled losing ground. A post race veterinary check revealed no injury. FORBURY FLYER (4) - shifted ground inwards into the turn checking trailing runners. KNOW DARLING (6) - very slow to jump losing ground early. Dictated wide on turn. IDOL AJAY (7) - struck rear of runner into the turn when field tightened, forced outwards dictating other runners wide. ESKIMO CHILL (8) - dictated wide on turn losing ground.
Race 4	ADDED ENERGY DASH - C4/5 - 390	SOUTHERN MIST (2) - tightened between runners into the turn losing ground and checking runner to outside. OPAWA MILLIE (4) - slow to jump. HARD QUESTIONS (9/6) - slow to jump. SUPER STEVIE (7) - checked into turn.
Race 5	CONGRATULATIONS HUGH G - C1 - 390	HOMEBUSH CLINT (3) - checked into the turn. OPAWA OPAL (5) - checked into the turn. CAWBOURNE SANDY (6) - tightened into the turn and checked trailing runners. JINJA RULES (7) - ran inwards into the turn tightening runner to inside. IDOL EVE (8) - jumped awkwardly losing considerable ground.
Race 6	SOUTHLAND & OTAGO PHOTO FINISH - C1/2 - 457	JON SNOW LIVES (2) - shifted outwards into turn severely checking trailing runner. TRENDY BLAKE (5) - slow to jump. CAWBOURNE PALMER (7) - severely checked and fell into turn taking no competitive part in the race, with trailing runner also severely checked. A post race veterinary check revealed no injury. RIB CURLER (8) - badly checked into turn losing considerable ground. A post race veterinary check revealed a toe ligament injury with a 21 day stand down recommended.
Race 7	Oreti Beach Run - C1 - 457	DEBORAH BAY (4) - ran wide in straight. MISS BLUE SKY (5) - ran wide in straight. LIGHT THAW (6) - bumped shortly after the jump losing ground. STORMY SUNDAY (8) - jumped awkwardly losing momentum early. Shifted inwards shortly after the jump bumping another runner.
Race 8	Colin and Orma Gray Memorial Invercargill Cup Final - C5f - 457	CAN'T CATCH TIM (1) - checked in run to the turn. OPAWA NORRIS (2) - checked and stumbled in run to the turn, checking trailing runner and losing all chance. KNOW HASSLE (3) - slow to jump. Ran wide throughout. EAGLE TEE (4) - checked at jump. AMERICAN WARRIOR (8) - ran wide early. EPIC DREAM (9/6) - shifted inwards at jump tightening runner to inside. Again pushed inwards in run to the turn severely checking runner to inside.
Race 9	GREYHOUNDSASPETS.ORG.NZ - C1 - 457	HOMEBUSH TULIP (1) - pushed outwards in run to the turn checking runners to outside. FANCY NOMIKAI (3) - checked in run to the turn. PENALTY BALE (4) - checked in run to the turn. PIANISSIMO (5) - checked at jump. Ran wide on turn and in the straight. RHINEGOLDE(6) - slow to jump then checked. AVALANCH CITY (7) - ran sharply inwards from jump checking runners to inside. Checked in run to the turn.
Race 10	SOUTHLAND DISTANCE - C2d - 630	LUCIASTAR (3) - slow to jump. KNOW VALUE (4) - shifted outwards into first turn checking runner to outside. NO TINKERBELL (5) - forced to check outwards off heels into first turn checking trailing runners. TRANSLATOR (6) - checked into first turn. HERITAGE WATCH (8) - checked into first turn.
Race 11	MR WHIPPY SOUTHLAND - C3 - 457	SADER NATION (5) - slow to jump losing ground early then ran wide in straight. PUKEKO BOLT (8) - ran wide in straight.
Race 12	RACING AGAIN 23 MAY - C2/3 - 390	HOMEBUSH ERROL (4) - shifted ground at the jump checking runner to outside. SOZIN'S BLUE (5) - checked a the jump. Bumped and checked into and on the turn. HIS NIBS (6) - bumped and checked into and on the turn, with a resulting check to dog on outer. IDOL STAR (7) - jumped awkwardly and lost momentum. Checked on the turn.
