Judicial report: 1). PAT TAMA (Lane & Wales) which competed in and won it's qualifying trial was subjected to a post trial urine swab.

2). Trainer A Bradshaw was fined the sum of $100.00 for presenting NOZZNO FEAR (Race 4) up 1.6kg's from its most previous start.

3). Trainer J T McInerney applied to Stewards under Rule 79.4 to have DETECTIVE DASH re examined after it was suspended for 28 days and ordered to trial satisfactorily for failing to pursue the lure at the Otago GRC's meeting on the 18 April 2017. This examination found the dog to have an injury to its left hind leg and a 21-day incapacitation period was issued. Subsequently the endorsement under Rule 79.1.b was revoked however DETECTIVE DASH is still required to perform a satisfactory trial.

Stood down for 10 days after sustaining wrist soreness during the running. BURSAR (7) - began awkwardly. Lost ground when placed on heels entering the bend.
Race 2	Carol's T.A.B. Clendon Inn Dash - C3 - 295	ROYAL BASH (3) - bumped from the outside entering bend. Bumped again from outside rounding bend and placed in tight quarters losing ground. Vet check post race - No injury found. SARAYA JAYDE (4) - placed in restricted room prior to the bend losing ground. Slightly turned shortly after entering bend. HOMEBUSH ERROL (9/6) - began slow. Contacted inside runner shortly after entering bend. MISSISSIPPI GIRL (7) - came down track rounding bend making contact with inside runner and being severely hampered. Vet check post race - No injury found. VERBENA (8) - awkwardly placed on heels rounding bend losing momentum. Bumped from inside shortly after before being placed in restricted room and severely checked. Vet check post race - No injury found..
Race 3	Mac Developments Dash - C4 - 295	MAGIC MIKE (9/2) - awkwardly placed on heels exiting bend having to change ground. SUPER BAD (3) - raced with contact to outside runner in run to bend before being obliged to check outwards off heels. Placed in restricted room entering bend losing ground. SERIOUS TORQUE (4) - bumped from outside early. Raced with contact to inside runner in run to bend. OPAWA WAIHEMO (5) - placed in restricted room entering bend losing ground. HOMEBUSH BANKER (7) - placed in restricted room entering bend being dragged down and losing ground. Cleared of injury post race. ROSA TEE (8) - last to jump by a distance.
Race 4	Shirley Vet Clinic Stakes - C3 - 520	NOZZNO FEAR (3) - up 1.6kgs. Checked off heels entering the first bend making contact with outside runner. BERRIDALE LAD (4) - contacted from the inside entering the first bend running up the track. CACTUS JACK (5) - faltered in its gait entering the first bend forcing outside runner wide. Vet check post race revealed soreness in hindquarters and abdominal soreness with a 21 day stand down imposed. OPAWA TIMO (6) - slow early. Forced up track first bend effectively losing its chance. RIDE AIN'T OVER (8) - slow early.
Race 5	Thursday Place Pick Dash - C4/5 - 295	FLIBERTY JIBERTY (1) - placed in restricted room entering the bend. BARCIA EXPRESS (2) - inconvenienced by outside runner rounding bend. HARKONEN BALE (3) - placed in restricted room in run to bend. SOPOAGA (4) - placed in restricted room in run to bend. HOMEBUSH SLOAN (5) - came down the track in run to bend placing inside runners in restricted room. Awkwardly placed to the outside of runner entering bend having to steady before being placed in restricted room losing ground. GOLDSTAR SCOOTER (7) - began awkwardly. SPEEDY RETURN (8) - boxed first.
Race 6	Christchurch Casino Stakes - C4/5 - 520	DIRK THE JERK (1) - led through the early stages before appearing to falter in its gait rounding the first bend. Referred to vet - Stood down for 21 days with a torn right gracilis muscle. OPAWA KEVIN (2) - lost ground entering first when awkwardly placed to the inside of runners. ALLEN HADRIAN (3) - contacted inside runner rounding first bend. HE'S ALL POWER (6) - checked outwards off heels entering first bend running up the track. LOCHINVAR BROGUE (7) - hampered early stages before checking outwards off heels. WITH PRIDE (8) - forced up the track entering first bend.
Race 7	A2B Asphalt Canterbury Sprint - C4/5 - 295	BREAKING MAD (4) - climbed on heels entering the bend losing ground. HOMEBUSH KELSO (7) - lost ground when inside runner improved outwards entering the bend before being dragged down by trailing runner. Vet check cleared post race.
Race 8	The Fitz Sports Bar NZ Oaks Heat 1 - R/Aq - 520 Heat 1	OPAWA MILLIE (1) - difficult to box. Slow early. Contacted outside runner when entering the first bend. Check outwards off heels exiting final bend. CAWBOURNE RUBY (2) - contacted from behind entering first bend and raced up the track. BIGTIME ONFIRE (3) - check outwards off heels and ran up the track entering the bend. Entered the back straight awkwardly when racing to the outside of runners. OPAWA SOPHIE (9/4) - bumped with outside runner early stages. Inconvenienced first bend. TRANSLATOR (5) - bumped with inside runner early stages. Forced up the track first bend. HOMEBUSH FLAME (8) - slightly squeezed for racing room entering the back straight.
Race 9	The Fitz Sports Bar NZ Oaks Heat 2 - R/Aq - 520 Heat 2	FROSTY ACTION (1) - dragged down rounding final bend losing ground. Dragged down again shortly after losing chance. Vet check revealed no injury. TROUBLESOME BRIT (2) - boxed first. Climbed on heels rounding final bend losing chance. BIGTIME RISE (3) - raced wide first bend. MANDY JUNIOR (4) - crowded early stages. OPAWA PLUM (6) - slow to jump. Climbed on heels rounding final bend before having contact made from behind shortly after. NITEHAWK ROSE (7) - squeezed for racing room rounding final bend before having to check off heels.
Race 10	The Fitz Sports Bar NZ Oaks Heat 3 - R/Aq - 520 Heat 3	CAWBOURNE TRIXIE (1) - terminally checked when making heavy contact with outside runner entering the first bend. Cleared of injury post race. MISCHIEF MANAGED (2) - squeezed for racing room entering first bend and lost ground. Checked shortly after when avoiding runner. Cleared of injury post race. ALLEGRO BEATY (3) - checked outwards off heels entering first bend running up the track. BIGTIME LADY (4) - ran up the track early before shifting down the track and being obliged to check off heels entering the first bend losing ground. SMASH REBEL (5) - contacted from outside early stages. FLAMING SAMBUCA (6) - forced up the track first bend. OPAWA RACER (7) - forced down onto inside runner entering first bend making heavy contact and losing momentum. Vet check cleared post race. ALBIE PUNTER (8) - came down the track entering first bend making slight contact and placing pressure on inside runners.
Race 11	The Fitz Sports Bar NZ Oaks Heat 4 - R/Aq - 520 Heat 4	SMASH BOMBER (3) - awkwardly placed on heels entering final bend having to steady. CAWBOURNE LEAHA (4) - squeezed for racing room losing ground prior to the first bend. BIGTIME BELL(5) - awkwardly placed on heels entering final bend having to steady. BELTOM (6) - began awkwardly. Ran wide first bend.
Race 12	Protexin Sprint - C4 - 295	HARSESIS (3) - placed in restricted room and had to steady rounding bend before being climbed on from behind. Cleared of injury post race. SAHARA SAM (4) - climbed on heels rounding bend and had to check. ANOTHER CRUISE (6) - slow early. ROADWORKS (7) - hampered for room in run to bend. OPAWA CRYSTAL (8) - made slight contact with inside runner early stages.
