Track: Good The track was presented in good order and remained so throughout the meeting which was conducted in heavy rain at times but the track was always in safe racing condition.
Scales: Checked and correct
Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: The inquiry into the late scratching of THRILLING HETTIE, which was opened and adjourned at the Waikato GRC meeting on 06.04.17, was concluded with no further action required.

Race 1	Fond Foods Ltd Sprint - C1/2 - 375	CAWBOURNE EDEN(1) - Began awkwardly losing two lengths but made up some ground for 5th place. COOL MARLOW (7) - Was tightened between runners going to the first corner and went back to a clear last and stayed well back. FAIR PARADE (8) - Raced wide throughout over extra ground but finished quite well for 4th placing.
Race 2	Affordable Pet Accessories Sprint - C3 - 375	SUN IS SHINING (4) - Was checked soon after the start and settled back but made up ground well for 2nd placing. TUMBALAIOO (5) - Checked after the start, went back to last and never recovered. OPAWA LIBBY (6) - Checked after the start and again entering the home straight and finished in last place. FANTASTIC LUCY (7) - Bumped and unbalanced on the home turn and stayed well back.
Race 3	Happy 21st Birthday Sam Lozell Distance - C0d - 650	CRAZY KICKER (3) - Was the slowest to begin and stayed back throughout the race. OUR GYPSY (5) - Jostled and lost momentum early in the home straight. CAWBOURNE RUBY (6) - Was held up for a short distance when in restricted room on the home turn but finished well for 2nd when into clear running.
Race 4	Garrards Horse & Hound Stakes - C1/2 - 457	BOLD SASSY (6) - Was crowded from the outside and settled back from the start and stayed back. AUGELLO (7) - Crowded from the outside and settled back. Then raced very wide in the back straight and into the bend but finished very well for 2nd place. FORTIS FLIER (8) - Shifted in abruptly from the start and tightened inside runners for a short distance.
Race 5	The Clubhouse Sports Bar Sprint - C3/4 - 375	KENNEL BOY (3) - Hampered soon after the start and settled back. SANDOR GLEGANE (7) - Went off stride going into the bend and quickly drifted to the rear and finished a long last. Was referred to the Vet and found to have a gracilis muscle injury.
Race 6	Teressa McDonald Memorial Cup Final - C2df - 747	GOLDSTAR JAGGER (2) - Bumped and briefly unbalanced soon after the start and again a short distance further on and lost momentum on both occasions. TRANQUIL BLOSSOM (3) - Bumped and lost momentum briefly going to the winning post with a round to run. DYNA ALK (7) - The slowest to begin and settled at the rear. Shifted in abruptly with a circuit to run and collided with another runner and lost momentum briefly. Stayed well back for the remainder of the race.
Race 7	Hautapu Veterinary Clinic Stakes - C1 - 457	LYTWORX (1) Was checked going into the bend and went back to last and finished in that position. BOUNCIE AL (3) - Was dictated in going into the bend which resulted in a check to LYTWORKX. CAWBOURNE BRYCE (7) - Was tightened between runners when the start was made and settled at the rear. Made up ground well to finish in 3rd place.
Race 8	Jack Hannon Memorial Cup - INV - 457	COOL RYTHM (1) - Shifted out several widths after the start and hampered other runners. LOCHINVAR BROGUE (2) - Was forced out after the start and hampered for a short distance. AMERICAN WARRIOR (5) - Was hampered early in the race and settled back but ran on well to win. MARKS BOY (7) - Forced very wide on the track going to the first turn and stayed well back.
Race 9	Lois Henley Memorial Trophy - INV - 457	BELTOM (7) - Was slow to begin and settled back but secured a clear inside run approaching the home turn and finished well for 3rd place. THRILLING HETTIE (8) - Also slow and settled back but finished quite well for 4th place.
Race 10	Mike Stent Decorators Ltd New Zealand Derby Final - R/Af - 457	BIGTIME DAZZLER (1) - Began awkwardly and lost ground. Shifted out abruptly going into the first turn and collided with another runner losing momentum briefly. BOMBS FALLING (6) - Was crowded when the start was made and settled back where he stayed throughout. ALLEGRO GUN (7) - Was bumped and unbalanced and faltered briefly going into the first turn and drifted to the rear and finished last. Was referred to the Vet and cleared of injury.
Race 11	Concrete Concepts Sprint - C5 - 375	FANTASTIC AVA (1) - Jostled with another runner on the home turn and was briefly unbalanced and lost momentum. BIGTIME THINKER (3) - Was tightened between runners going into the bend and was unbalanced briefly losing ground. Jostled for a short distance on the home turn and lost momentum briefly but recovered to finish in 4th place. MY FIRST LITTER (7) - Was awkwardly placed going into the bend when another runner came back on her running line and she lost ground. Went under the rail at the pull up area and was referred to the Vet and cleared of injury.
Race 12	Bill Hu Graduation Stakes - C4/5 - 457	OSCAR TRON (7) - was in 3rd place on the approach to the home straight but shifted out very wide covering extra ground but still finished 3rd. CAWBOURNE TODDY (9/6) - Was very slow to begin losing several lengths and stayed well back throughout.
