Judicial report: 1) - NO TINKERBELL (J Guthrie) was declared a late scratching at 10:35am acting on veterinary advice. 2) - FESTIVE FLAIR (J McInerney) turned in its box at the commencement of Race 1 and is required to box trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to racing next.

Race 1	SOUTHLAND GREYHOUNDS WELCOME - C0 - 390	ANOTHER DUKE (1) - Unbalanced briefly approaching the bend when contacted by BOTANY WHISPER. Hampered rounding the final bend. DEFINITELY MAYBE (3) - Shifted outwards off heels rounding the final bend and as a result collided with ANOTHER DUKE. UNFATHAMABLE (6) - Shifted outwards abruptly when making the bend colliding with CAWBOURNE PALMER. FESTIVE FLAIR (7) - Turn in its box taking no competitive part in the event. Trainer J McInerney was advised that FESTIVE FLAIR must box trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to racing next. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. CAWBOURNE PALMER (8) - Slow to begin. Hampered and forced to race wider on the track entering the bend.
Race 2	ADDED ENERGY STAKES - C0 - 457	TOM TEE (1) - Severely checked entering the bend when unable to avoid the heels of WAIKMAC SHEFF. BOMBS FALLING (2) - Jumped outwards from the boxes colliding with UNBRIDLED. Crowded for a distance in the early stages. DEAD WONG (3) - Crowded briefly entering the bend. Hampered when crowded rounding the bend losing ground. UNBRIDLED (4) - Hampered when crowded on jumping. SADER NATION (5) - Unbalanced momentarily entering the bend. TRUMPED (6) - Unbalanced on several occasions rounding the final bend when contacted by DEAD WONG. WAIMAC (7) - Severely checked entering the bend when unable to avoid the heels of WAIKMAC SHEFF. WAIMAK SHEFF (8) - Tightened and checked entering the bend when between SADER NATION and DEAD WONG, losing considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
Race 3	SOUTHLAND & OTAGO PHOTO FINISH - C1/2 - 390	BIG CATCH (1) - Unbalanced shortly after the start. Jostled with FEAR MARINA approaching the bend. FEAR MARINA (3) - Shifted inwards and collided with BIG CATCH in the early stages. Crowded for a short distance approaching the bend. KNOW HERO (4) - Checked outwards rounding the bend when awkwardly placed near the heels of HOMEBUSH RILEY.
Race 4	GREYHOUNDSASPETS.ORG.NZ - C1/2 - 390	BOTANY COLD (2) - Unbalanced when contacted by EPIC KNOXY rounding the bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. EPIC KNOXY (3) - Slow to begin. Tightened and checked entering the bend when between HOMEBUSH BAILEY and OPAWA OPAL which ran outwards. OPAWA OPAL (4) - Ran outwards and collided with EPIC KNOXY entering the bend.
Race 5	EVOQUE CAFE @ REMARKABLES - C3 - 390	OPAWA LEAN MEAT (2) - Crowded entering the bend, checking outwards across the heels of WEARS THE GOLD. SHIFT THE BLAME (3) - Stumbled leaving the boxes, losing ground. WEARS THE GOLD (5) - Contacted by BIRDIE TEE rounding the bend. OPAWA VAL (6) - Crowded in the early stages when between WEARS THE GOLD and HOMEBUSH FLAME which ran inwards abruptly. BIRDIE TEE (8) - Slow to begin. Ran inwards rounding the bend colliding with WEARS THE GOLD. Shifted wider on the track through the middle stages of the straight when awkwardly near the heels of WEARS THE GOLD.
Race 6	ASCOT PARK CONSORTIUM - C4 - 390	MAX STIX (3) - Hampered leaving the boxes losing ground. Jostled with HOMEBUSH ERROL for a short distance rounding the bend. HARKONEN BALE (4) - Hampered leaving the boxes, shifting outwards across heels and colliding with HOMEBUSH ERROL. KNOW LAPSE (5) - Ran inwards from the start hampering inside runners. Hampered when crowded shortly after the start when HOMEBUSH KELSO ran inwards. Inconvenienced entering the bend when awkwardly positioned to the outside of MAX STIX. HOMEBUSH ERROL (6) - Collided with HARKONEN BALE shortly after the start. Hampered when forced wider on the track entering the bend. Jostled with MAX STIX for a short distance rounding the bend. OPAWA CRYSTAL - Fell at the lure, with a post-race veterinary examination revealing no obvious abnormalities.
Race 7	NEW YEARS RUN FINAL - C1f - 457	The start of this race was delayed one minute at the request of TAB Control. LUCIASTAR (1) - Began awkwardly. MISS BLUE SKY (3) - Raced in restricted room through the early stages. Crowded entering the bend. NO TINKERBELL (7) - Late scratching acting on veterinary advice.
Race 8	OTATARA STAKES - C1 - 457	WONG ANSWER (2) - Forced wider on the track through the middle stages of the straight. OPAWA RICHIE (4) - Buffeted between runners in the early stages. Checked entering the home straight when racing to the inside of DAN BLUE BLOOD which ran inwards. CISCO (5) - Buffeted between runners in the early stages. PIPE DREAM (7) - Raced in restricted room for several strides entering the bend. DAN BLUE BLOOD (8) - Inconvenienced entering the bend when awkwardly placed near the heels of GHOST which ran outwards.
Race 9	CONGRATULATIONS FUNNY MUMMY - C4/5 - 390	KNOW STYLE (1) - Badly unbalanced entering the bend when contacted by CAWBOURNE CRAIG. CAWBOURNE CRAIG (2) - Crowded between runners entering the bend. WHEELCHAIR NORM (4) - Severely tightened between runners entering the bend, falling to the track. Regained its footing and finished at the lure, with a subsequent post-race veterinary examination revealing no obvious abnormalities. ANOTHER BELLE (5) - Buffeted with CAWBOURNE PATTY in the early stages when placed in restricted room. Hampered entering the bend when unable to avoid a fallen runner. CAWBOURNE PATTY (6) - Buffeted with ANOTHER BELLE in the early stages when placed in restricted room. Hampered entering the bend when forced inwards onto inside runners by HOMEBUSH SLOAN. Crowded and checked rounding the bend. HOMEBUSH SLOAN (7) - Hampered entering the bend when forced inwards onto inside runners by the improving OPAWA BINGE. Unbalanced rounding the bend when contacted by CAWBOURNE PATTY.
