Judicial report: (1) GOLDSTAR ARCHIE (McCook/Jopson) suspended for 3 months under Rule 79.1.a for marring in Race 4 and required to complete a Satisfactory Trial. The greyhound had two previous offences under Rule 79 and had made successful application under Rule 79.7 to cancel one endorsement. (2) Trainer SJ Whall was spoken to advisedly and reminded of his obligations under Rule 71 in regard to loading of greyhound into starting boxes.

Race 1	Otago GRC Maiden Sprint - C0 - 310	SERGIO STAR (3) - checked into the turn. WHITE NOT WONG (4) - stumbled after the jump losing momentum and then struck falling runner becoming unbalanced and running very wide losing considerable ground. A post race veterinary check revealed a sore back with a five day stand down recommended. ESKIMO CHILL (5) - checked at the jump and again into turn. HOMEBUSH STORMY (6) - ran inwards at jump checking runner to inside and then was bumped in run to the turn and checked into the turn striking rear of another runner. LACEY SUNDAY (7) - shifted ground outwards into turn checking trailing runners, and then struck from behind and fell losing all chance to finish a distant last. A post race veterinary check revealed no injury.
Race 2	www.greyhoundsaspets.org.nz - C1 - 310	PRINCELY MONEY (6) - bumped heavily at jump losing ground. LYDIA TEE (7) - ran inwards at the jump bumping heavily with runner to inside and losing momentum.
Race 3	Dave Robbie Photographer Stakes - C0 - 545	OPAWA LASS (1) - shifted ground inwards at end of the back straight checking trailing runner. ROOKIE RACER (5) - bumped at jump becoming unbalanced and losing momentum. Tightened into turn losing ground. GHOST (6) - shifted ground inwards at jump checking runner to inside and again into first turn. Checked outwards off runner at the end of the back straight, stumbling and bumping runner to outside losing ground. A post race veterinary check revealed no injury sustained in this incident. GENTLEMAN TIM (8) - ran wide on first turn and bumped at end of back straight losing momentum.
Race 4	Brocklebanks Dry Cleaners Stakes - C1 - 545	CAWBOURNE BRANDY (1) - ran outwards from jump tightening runners to outside and then ran outwards into first turn dictating another runner wide. RHINEGOLDE (2) - tightened at jump and shifted inwards into first turn checking trailing runner. Checked on final turn. GOLDSTAR ARCHIE (3) - checked at jump. Into straight shifted outwards and turned head making muzzle and head contact with RHINEGOLDE. Stewards charged GOLDSTAR ARTCHIE under Rule 79.1.a with marring the running of another greyhound. Whilst this was the third such offence the greyhound had completed over 10 races under Rule 79.7 and had one endorsement cancelled. GOLDSTAR ARCHIE was suspended for 3 months and required to complete a Satisfactory Trial before resuming. DYNA ALK (4) - checked at jump. A post race veterinary check showed a cut left hind toe with a five day stand down recommended. AVALANCH CITY (5) - dictated wide into first turn. LUCIASTAR (6) - checked into first turn losing ground. MAZU (8) - slow to jump.
Race 5	Green Island Barber Sprint - C1 - 310	SIOUX BAXTER (4) - became unbalanced in run to the turn clipping running rail and losing momentum. KELLY'S BOY (5) - stumbled on jumping hitting nose on mat and then bounding losing ground. The greyhound was placed on the box first by Stewards under Rule 72.10.
Race 6	Brian Bagley Driver Licensing Sprint - C2 - 310	HOMEBUSH BAILEY (2) - checked in run to the turn and again on turn. TIMELY REMINDER (3) - tightened shortly after the jump and in run to the turn. KNOW SCRUTINY (4) - checked at jump. HOMEBUSH RILEY (5) - ran inwards at jump tightening runners to inside.APOLLO KING (10/8) - slow to jump and ran wide.
Race 7	Speedprint Shop Stakes - C2 - 545	ARCANE SABRE (5) - shifted ground outwards into first turn checking trailing runners. PIANISSIMO (6) - ran wide in straights. OPAWA ANTHONY (7) - slow to jump and tightened into first turn. SPRING SAM (8) - checked into first turn.
Race 8	Keyosk Service Bar Stakes - C2/3 - 545	HERITAGE WATCH (3) clipped heels of another dog in run to the first turn and lost momentum. KNOW WORTH (4) - ran outwards from jump checking runner to outside and then ran wide throughout. MAX STIX (5) - slow to jump and then checked and dictated wide. OBEYANCE (8) - ran wide to first turn.
Race 9	Green Island Barber Stakes - C4/5 - 545	KNOW STYLE (2) - ran outwards on first turn checking runner and then checked by falling runner into straight.. KNOW ANSWER (3) - tightened into straight when attempting to look for gap and fell losing all chance checking trailing runner. A post race veterinary check revealed a sore right shoulder with a seven day stand down recommended.. PUKEKO BOLT (5) - ran outwards at jump checking runner to outside, and then checked into first turn becoming unbalanced and losing ground. KNOW JINX (6) - checked at jump. HARD QUESTIONS (7) - shifted inwards into first turn checking trailing runner and then checked on turn.
Race 10	Trainers Invitational Sprint Feature - INV - 310	KNOW HASSLE (4) - slow to jump. OPAWA BINGE (6) - ran wide on turn.
Race 11	Merry Christmas & Happy New Year Sprint - C4 - 310	No racing incidents to report.
Race 12	Racing Again Tuesday 17th January - C3 - 310	OPAWA OPAL (2) - checked outwards off runner on turn when tightened and lost ground.
