Into the back straight KINGMAN (2) was tightened between IN THE BOOT (1) and JINJA BILLY (8). |

Clendon Inn Distance - C2d - 645 | HIP HOP SOPHIA (6) began awkwardly shifting outwards making firm contact with CAN'T CATCH TIM (7), HIP HOP SOPHIA became unbalanced and lost ground as a result. UNOVA BALE which trailed the field from the first turn underwent a post race veterinary inspection which revealed general soreness with a 21 day stand down imposed. GOLDSTAR JAGGER (8) raced wide rounding the first bend. |

| Race 7 | Mac Developments Dash - C4/5 - 295 | OHOKA BILLY (4) ,HARKONEN BALE (5) and KIHAEL KALUNA (6) were momentarily unbalanced when making contact shortly after the start. RAPAKI KATH (3) was hampered into the turn when AIR EXPRESS (1) shifted away from the running line. Both KIHAEL KALUNA and OHOKA BILLY were hampered in consequence losing momentum. Shortly thereafter CARNEGIE HALL (8) was checked and lost all chance when AIR EXPRESS continued to shift ground outwards. |
| Race 8 | 2016 Flair Canterbury Laurels - R/Af - 520 | ALBIE PUNTER (8) was slow to begin.OPAWA JEWEL (5) shifted outwards after jumping and hampered OPAWA PEACHES (6).ALBIE PUNTER was awkwardly placed on heels rounding the first bend. At the end of the back straight NINA BAXTER (3) contacted the heels of JINJA HEART (4) and lost ground and all chance. JINJA HEART lost momentum as a result. NESSIE ALLEN turn its head outwards rounding the bend and marred the running of MINA ALLEN (7). Stewards stood NESSIE ALLEN pursuant to Rule 79.1.a down for 3 months with 1 satisfactory trial. This trial was completed on 2 September. |
| Race 9 | Christchurch Casino Stakes - C4/5 - 520 | BOSTON BILLY (8) was slow to begin and was further hampered when awkwardly placed on the heels of DAD'S AMBITION (7). BLACK CROW (6) was hampered between runners into the first bend and shifted wider forcing BOSTON BILLY over extra ground. DYNA VIKKERS (2) and CHIPPA LATA (4) raced tight rounding the first bend. DYNA VIKKERS made contact with CAWBOURNE BRICK (1) on entering the home straight. Shortly thereafter DYNA VIKKERS shifted outward and was unbalanced. |
| Race 10 | 2016 Kolorful Kanvas Garden City Classic - R/Af - 520 | OPAWA O'GRADY (3) shifted outwards after jumping and hampered SOUTHERN LIGHTS (5), which was badly unbalanced, and OPAWA NORRIS (6). Passing the winning post on the first occasion WITH PRIDE (2) was placed in restricted room and shifted outwards hampering OPAWA KEVIN (4) and SOUTHERN LIGHTS. Shortly thereafter OPAWA NORRIS made contact with the hindquarters of OPAWA KEVIN ,both SOUTHERN LIGHTS and MAJESTIC ACTION (7) were badly hampered as a result. OPAWA O'GRADY and CAWBOURNE COOKS (8) raced tight on entering the back straight. |
| Race 11 | Clarkson Sign Studio Sprint - C4/5 - 295 | WHEELCHAIR NORM (2) shifted outwards rounding the bend and hampered CULVIE GODFATHER (4), KNOW THANKS (3) and TIME SLAYER (8). KNOW THANKS was checked and lost all chance as a result. On entering the straight TIME SLAYER made contact with the hindquarters of CULVIE GODFATHER and fell. A post race veterinary inspection of TIME SLAYER revealed no abnormalities. |
