Judicial report: 1. At a judicial review held at Rangiora Racecourse on Thursday 5 November, the JCA overturned a decision made by Stewards last Wednesday that ECKLES had failed to pursue the lure. 2. RIU staff conducted a number of kennel inspections during this week. 3. Permission was sought and granted for Handler A Bradshaw to wear gumboots due to personal circumstances. 4. SLEEPER AGENT (A Bradshaw) completed a Satisfactory Trial without blinkers and accordingly as per Rule 68.22 will race in this state in its future starts.

Race 1	Bill's Bar & Bistro Feature - C3 - 295	HOMEBUSH RUFUS (7) was last to jump. CABARITA (6) crossed sharply inwards in the early stages checking SWEET MARYLOU (2) and JINJA PISTOL (1) with this pair losing ground. OPAWA LEAN MEAT (3) was tightened and ran outwards into the bend pushing CALINDA GIRL (4) and HOMEBUSH RUFUS wider on the track. OPAWA LEAN MEAT then ran inwards on the turn causing CALINDA GIRL to check off its heels. JINJA PISTOL shifted up the track in the home straight checking SWEET MARYLOU which lost momentum.
Race 2	Chris & Lisa Earl Feature - C4 - 295	MUST DESIRE (3) ran inwards in the early stages checking ABOUT TOWN (2). KNOW PRIDE (7) ran outwards wider out hampering BACKCHAT HARRY (8) for a few strides. HARKONEN BALE (5) and MUST DESIRE collided in the back straight. BACKCHAT HARRY raced wide around the bend. HARKONEN BALE checked outwards off the heels of MY FIRST LITTER (1) on the home turn. Further back in the field MUST DESIRE angled outwards placing PORKY PIG (4), KNOW PRIDE and BACKCHAT HARRY in restricted room.
Race 3	Camside Stud Place Pick Feature - C2 - 520	KNOW CLOWN (7) was last on settling. FEKITOA (2) and KINGMAN (3) came together in the early stages. EBONY FANCY (6) shifted outwards into the first bend contacting the hind quarters of KINGMAN with OPAWA GUMISIE (4) and VERNON BALE (8) both being badly checked and losing ground. In the back straight COUNTRY CROSSING (1) shifted up the track making contact with and pushing FEKITOA over extra ground. KINGMAN gave ground on the final turn causing OPAWA GUMISIE to be badly held up. On the home turn FEKITOA ran inwards pushing COUNTRY CROSSING into the rail with this dog blundering and losing ground. The trailing VERNON BALE was unable to avoid COUNTRY CROSSING and took a heavy fall. VERNON BALE was referred to the vet for assessment and found to have shoulder soreness.
Race 4	Carol's T.A.B. Feature - R/A - 520	ANOTHER FAN (6) was tightened in the early stages settling last. Into the first bend ANOTHER LIZ (7) and ANOTHER MESSAGE (2) came together with ANOTHER LIZ then running outwards and being dragged down by KNOW ANSWER (5) which was forced wide as a result. ANOTHER FAN and ANOTHER LIZ came together for a stride on the home turn. ANOTHER LIZ was checked and cleared by the vet post race.
Race 5	I Pave Concrete Sockburn Cup - C2d - 732	EXTREME TWIST (4) settled last after shifting outwards and making contact with KNOW WORTH (5) in the initial stages. KNOW WORTH raced wide around the first bend. EXTREME TWIST got on heels on the last bend losing some momentum. UNOVA BALE (1) was held up for room on the home turn.
Race 6	Grant Brothers Concrete Pumping Feature - C3 - 520	BOSTON BILLY (6) and RUNAWAY TAXI (7) were the last pair on jumping. JINJA JAFFA (5), AMBILIGHT (4) and RED MARGIN (3) came together in the early stages. KNOW LAPSE (2) shifted marginally up the track into the first bend causing JINJA JAFFA and BOSTON BILLY to be forced a touch wider. CAWBOURNE WALES (1) shifted up the track on the first bend checking AMBILIGHT for a stride. HOMEBUSH BUCK (8) was held up for racing room in the back straight. AMBILIGHT and RUNAWAY TAXI came together on the last bend. CAWBOURNE WALES raced wide on the home turn.
Race 7	Super Pets Galaxy - C5f - 295	FIREMANS GALAXY (1) and YEBOAH (7) were the last pair on jumping. LITTLE REGUS (5) received a check into the bend losing ground. Soon after FIREMANS GALAXY ran outwards checking KNOW KNOWING (8), YEBOAH, ECKLES (4) and LITTLE REGUS with this quartet losing their chances. FIREMANS GALAXY raced wide in the home straight after checking outwards off the heels of WILD EFFECTIVE (3).
Race 8	One Good Horse Restaurant & Bar Feature - C5 - 520	CAN'T CATCH TIM (5) and KNOW MENTION (6) were both tightened in the early rush. MYSTIC ACTION (7) ran inwards in the run to the first bend causing ROLEX ROO (4) and BOUND TO ERUPT (3) to be tightened and lose ground. CAN'T CATCH TIM and KNOW MENTION both raced wide around the first bend. ROLEX ROO was checked at the entrance to the back straight and dropped to the rear. BOUND TO ERUPT dropped out over the concluding stages and was cleared by the vet post race.
Race 9	Christchurch Casino New Zealand Cup - C5f - 520	BENJAMIN BLACK (1) was a clear last at the jump. BORN TO BOOM (5) angled outwards coming together with OPAWA DIESEL (6) which lost ground. Into the first bend BORN TO BOOM appeared to clip heels and fell. CAWBOURNE CROUCH (8) ran very wide around the first bend. At the end of the back straight DYNA VIKKERS (2) got on the heels of CAWBOURNE BRICK (4) and briefly lost momentum. BORN TO BOOM was cleared of injury following an assessment post race.
Race 10	Garden City Chem-Dry Feature - C4 - 520	CHIPPA LATA (8) was last to jump. MAGIC EMILY (1) was tightened in the early stages and lost ground. KIRKHAM JACK (3) ran outwards on the first bend pushing BOTANY BLAKE (5) and CHIPPA LATA over extra ground. KIRKHAM JACK again raced wide into the back straight forcing CHIPPA LATA wider.
Race 11	David Emerson Consultancy Feature - R/A - 520	KNOW NEGLECT (4) and KNOW DECISION (5) came together in the early stages. KNOW NEGLECT then ran inwards making solid contact with KNOW HERO (2) with KNOW NEGLECT dropping to the rear. SOUTHERN LIGHTS (7) and KNOW DECISION both raced wide around the first bend. At the end of the back straight KNOW SCHOLAR (1) checked outwards off the heels of KNOW HERO pushing KNOW DECISION very wide on the track.
Race 12	Mac Developments Feature - C5 - 295	BO'S BUSINESS (3) and KERAMUS (4) dropped to the rear in the early stages. SMASH THAT (2) ran outwards in the early stages simultaneously to GOLDSTAR CHUMLEE (7) angling inwards resulting in HOMEBUSH PAIGE (5) being tightened. HOMEBUSH PAIGE then ran inwards checking BO'S BUSINESS. AIR EXPRESS (1) angled outwards into the bend pushing SMASH THAT and CARNEGIE HALL (8) wider on the track. SMASH THAT ran inwards on the home turn checking HOMEBUSH PAIGE which then ran outwards checking CARNEGIE HALL. SMASH THAT and BO'S BUSINESS both ran wide in the home straight.
