HAMPDEN ON TAP (3) ran outwards in the straight pushing REPLAY (9) over extra ground. UNRELIABLE ANDY was referred to the vet for assessment and found to have a recurrence of a torn web. |
| Race 2 | Carol's T.A.B. Dash - C4 - 295 | KNOW CONTEST (2) and HOMEBUSH GRU (5) were the last pair on settling. SPIDER GIRL (6) was badly tightened into the bend as GET READY FREDDY (8) shifted down the track with SMASH RUMOUR (4) being checked and losing ground as a result. COLLECTING MONEY (1) was also checked for a stride at this stage. JAMAICAN ARCHIE (7) ran wide on the home turn. SMASH RUMOUR ran outwards on the home turn pushing HOMEBUSH GRU over extra ground. KNOW CONTEST was held up for room on the home turn and shifted outwards causing SPIDER GIRL to be pushed wide. QUEDRAGO (3) shifted up the track in the home straight briefly inconveniencing JAMAICAN ARCHIE. |
| Race 3 | Thursday Place Pick Dash - C3 - 295 | JINJA LUCA (7) was last to jump. HOMEBUSH ERROL (1) shifted outwards simultaneously to BAD WEEK (6) running inwards in the back straight resulting in VOREDA (3) and RICK'S TREASURE (9) both being tightened and losing ground. JINJA LUCA ran wide on the home turn. Following the race JINJA LUCA was referred to the vet for assessment and found to have some calf soreness. |
| Race 4 | I Pave Concrete Sprint - C4 - 295 | FIREMANS GALAXY (2) and ZORBA THE GREEK (9) were the last pair on jumping. OPAWA OPAL (5) and LOOK AT LUCY (6) came together for a stride on dispatch. FIREMANS GALAXY ran outwards on the home turn pushing WINE TIME (4) wider. Further back in the field ZORBA THE GREEK and HOMEBUSH PAIGE (7) collided and lost ground. Trainer A Joyce, when questioned in regards to the improved performance of the winner GORILLA ON DRUMS, reported that the downgrade and handy box draw were the key factors. |
| Race 5 | David Emerson Consultancy Stakes - C3 - 520 | GRUNT RODGERS (7) and HELLO BLONDIE (8) were the last pair on jumping. KNOW VALUE (2) ran outwards when improving on the first bend checking PROTONIC PEDRO (4) and pushing HELLO BLONDIE wider. GRUNT RODGERS dropped out to finish a distant last and was found to have torn a gracilis muscle. |
| Race 6 | Power Farming Canterbury Stakes - C3 - 520 | WILLIS (1) and KNOW ATTEMPT (6) were the last pair on jumping. KNOW ATTEMPT and HOMEBUSH BUCK (4) were tightened in the run to the first bend and lost ground after PLUTONIUM (8) had run inwards. On the home turn KNOW LAPSE (3) received a slight check as WILLIS improved to its outside and then angled marginally inwards. |
| Race 7 | Mac Developments Dash - C4/5 - 295 | ECKLES (5) was last to jump. ZEBIDIAH (7) ran inwards in the early stages hampering RICK'S TERRA (6) for a stride. LITTLE REGUS (4) shifted up the track in the back straight hampering ZEBIDIAH which briefly lost momentum. KNOW KNOWING (1) was held up on the home turn and angled outwards pushing CHOKEHOLD (2) and RICK'S TERRA wider on the track. LITTLE REGUS ran wide in the home straight. |
| Race 8 | Christchurch Casino Stakes - C4/5 - 520 | JESSIE SURFS (9) was a shade slow to jump from the outside trap. UGO FLASH (6) was checked in the early stages as KNOW MENTION (5) shifted up the track. BOTANY KEVIN (7) and JESSIE SURFS were also hampered at this stage. TINA (2) shifted outwards a touch into the first bend causing some tightening to OPAWA ROSIE (3). TINA lost ground at the end of the back straight and was then checked from behind by JESSIE SURFS with both runners losing ground. TINA was checked and cleared by the veterinary surgeon post race. |
| Race 9 | Kolorful Kanvas Christchurch Classic Final - R/A - 520 | HOMEBUSH HOWARD (7) was very slow to jump with BRISEUR DE REVES (3) also tardily away. MYSTIC ACTION (5) ran inwards on the first bend and was checked from behind by BORN TO BOOM (4) which then ran outwards pushing ANOTHER LIZ (8) into the path of BRISEUR DE REVES with this pair losing their chances. ANOTHER LIZ was checked and cleared by the vet post race. BORN TO BOOM was held up when improving at the end of the back straight and got on the heels of HOMEBUSH HOWARD and lost momentum. |
| Race 10 | 2015 Kingston Cup - C2df - 732 | VERNON BALE (6) was a late scratching mid afternoon when found to be suffering from a vomiting bug. CAWBOURNE BRIGHT (8) ran inwards in the early stages checking SHANDELL (7) and DREAM COLLECTOR (5). UNOVA BALE (2) and TEEMARIA (4) were both tightened into the first bend. On that bend CAWBOURNE BRIGHT was checked from behind by SHANDELL and lost ground. DREAM COLLECTOR ran a touch wide on the second bend pushing CAWBOURNE BRIGHT over extra ground. SHANDELL was badly held up behind the pace making GOLDSTAR JUNIOR (1) on the home turn and lost momentum. LAGOON MYTYE (9) was forced to check off the heels of SHANDELL at this point with TEEMARIA being pushed wider. GOLDSTAR JUNIOR weakened over the concluding stages with the veterinary surgeon reporting signs of cramp in this runner. |
| Race 11 | C.T.V. Sprint - C4/5 - 295 | MICKEY TEE (5) and RODRIGUEZ (8) were the last pair on jumping. MICKEY TEE ran wide in the home straight. |
| Race 12 | Livamol Sprint - C4/5 - 295 | PUMA PANTS (1) was tightened in the back straight dropping to the rear. RUSTY KNIFE (6) ran inwards into the bend severely checking HOMEBUSH ARIEL (5) and INSPECTOR SPOT (2) with KERAMUS (4) being badly hampered wider out. INSPECTOR SPOT faltered immediately after this incident and dropped out. A post race veterinary check revealed a fractured hock. |
